TS1424 Can't download for some reason
Hey, I'm in my iTunes and I download a lot and haven't had this problem before but when I went to download a song it started to download and then just stopped and says 'download error. Tap to retry' so I did and every time I try 'unable to download' help?
Stacking doesn't work in anything but folder view, and even then only when you are viewing images in a single folder (not including its subfolders). I may have some details wrong on this last bit, I can't quite remember this morning.

If you can receive mail and your connection to your ISP is otherwise working, but cannot send mail, then your SMTP settings are incorrect; the SMTP server port is wrong, your SSL setting is wrong, or the username or password credentials don't match what the ISP has, or your attempted accesses are being blocked or your ISP SMTP server is offline.
And in general, don't use port 25 for your outbound mail, unless your ISP specifically requires that; these days, that port is best left to communications between mail servers and (usually) not used by any mail clients. -
Airport Extreme: Can't Print for some reason
While trying to set up my Airport Extreme, and trying to get my computer to print to my printer it's connected to (my computer reads the printer just fine) then it gives me the error message, "An error occurred communicating with the selected base station," when I try to set things up on my Airport Setup Assistant. It's not printing to the printer, even though I downloaded both the driver and installed the Airport Extreme Cd. This is the image that I see: http://img401.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture1zm8.png
Please help! Do I HAVE to hook the printer or Airport Extreme up to a computer in order to have it work? Or can it just be plugged into the router, and the printer plugged into the usb jack in the back of the AE? There is one light in the middle of the AE that is lit, and that's about it... I am using a new iMac, 2.8Ghz, 4GB Ram, fully updated Mac OSX 10.5.1. I have a new copy of Lightroom 1.3, as fully updated as it will get.
I can't get Lightroom to stack photos. Why? I select several photos, in either the grid or the filmstrip, then hit command-G. The computer makes a little "bonk" noise, and nothing else happens. If I check the menu bar (Photo > Stacking > Group Into Stack), all the options under the Stacking heading are greyed out. What gives?
It doesn't seem to be affected by what photos I select, or what library I am in. Nothing ever works. Any clues? Ipad2 to iPod FaceTime issue. Can't activate for some reason
Just got son iPod touch and want to be able to FaceTime with him. Created yahoo account but still doesn't work. I can FaceTime with other iPhone users fine. What is the problem? When I try to connect get possible phishing site error.
Apps you purchase from the Mac App Store can only run on the Mac OS X.
Apps purchased from the iTunes store run on iOS based devices such as your iPod.
In other words, you can't run the game for your Mac then copy it to your iPod. Two differenct operating systems. -
A fraction of the progress bar has filled up and won't go any further. What should I do? What is wrong with it? It is not my internet connection as I have downloaded three games off Steam today perfectly. I have also checked the specs and they're fine.
Check the Purchases tab in the App Store. If it shows a Resume button, click on it. It should also show the progress there.

Can't podcast for some reason.
I got it working yesterday, but now podcasts don't appear in Library. Even the podcast file is gone. I can click Advanced but the subscribe button is grey and unaccessible.

Went through this step-by-step, but alas it did not solve the problem. For some reason I can download mail on my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but no my iMac. Connection Doctor shows all green lights. This started today when I was prompted to re-enter incoming mail server passwords. I re-entered passowrds yet again to make sure they were correct. Rebuilt the inBox. Connection Doctor continues to show all green lights, but am still unable to download mail to the inbox. Has anyone else ever run into this problem?
I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

So I have an iphone and for some reason I don't know the password for my Apple ID so I can't download apps and I don't have the password to my email to change it and I don't know the secret questions , what can I do to make a new Apple ID ?
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
I have downloaded books in ibooks but for some reason it says downloaded i cannot see the book anymore...??? How did that happen? The only thing i did do was download a free cook book that shows as a pdf....

I need to download my Verizon bill. For some reason my account says I'm a "Member" and not the "Manager" or "Owner" so I can't download the bill. I AM THE ONLY PERSON ON THIS ACCOUNT. I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS EVER BEEN ON THIS ACCOUNT. ONLY ME. JUST ME.
Prepaid accounts don't have Account Owners/Managers, they just have Account Members (and prepaid accounts have less options regarding changes via their My Verizon account as a result).

I have used Firefox for over a year. For some reason it quit working and I can't seem to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the download and it's still not working. When I click on the icon it says unable to connect.
Yes, if you repurchase it you may lose your progress. The exception would be a game that stored all your progress on a server under your ID
If you want to retain your progress you have two choices:
1. Don't apply the update.
2. Use your fathers account password to update the game. -
When I purchased a song on itunes, for some reason it did not download the whole song. It quits about 1 and 1/2 minutes through the song. Is there a way I can re-download the song without re-paying for it?

i just downloaded ilife every things working fine except, when i try to open iPhoto it said ''You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete. i tried to re-download it but my password didn't work for some reason. HELPPPP!!!
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
