TS1424 Cannot connect to the I tunes store, even though i have all ready an Apple ID and i have allready purchased many applications

Cannot connect to the I tunes store eventhough i already have an Apple ID

Depends. If you disable them just for a little while, and then reenable them, you should be okay. Contact the maker to see if you can disable any security software on a timer, and that will allow you to be protected when it turns itself back on.

    Any ideas?

Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store.  Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

I'm trying to download an app from app store but get a message saying cannot connect to i tunes store--my wireless network  is working.  What gives?

This issue is cropping up everywhere on the iPad site, leading me to believe that it is an iTunes server glitch. I am able to connect without issue in the northeast U.S.
    You can try this ....
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Sign in and try again.

  • Cannot connect to the I Tunes Store using XP

I have tried many solutions discussed at earlier times but still cannot connect.  ITunes appears normal at my music page but when trying to connect to the store nothing will happen.  When running the diagnostic at ITunes it tells me there is no internet connection.  "Secure link to ITunes Failed".  I have uninstalled all apple components, added the rootkit update, done the netsh winsock reset.....what am I missing?  It's been this way for over a year.  I work on it from time to time and have contacted Apple for help.  I tried all their 'fixes'.  Simple steps and answers would be appreciated.

Before downloading 10.6.8 I still had it in my dock but it said i needed 10.6.8 to open it.... I am really confused why I need 10.7 to open it as i thought you needed 10.6.8! How can i get the mac app store working!!???

You don't have the Snow Leopard version. Perhaps you didn't install Snow Leopard since you cannot download it. You must purchase it:
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mavericks if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.

  • Error message -3221 - Could not connect to the I-Tunes Store

I last accessed the I-Tunes store on November 3, 2007 with no problems. The last week of November I received the following error message. "I-Tunes could not connect to the I-Tunes store. An unknown error has occurred (-3221)." I have the latest version of I-Tunes (7.4.3.1). I cleared my DNS server and am sure I-Tunes isn't blocked in my firewall. In fact, I followed all the suggestions given on the I-Tunes diagnostic website. I cannot find any mention of anyone else that has received this particular message. Can anyone help me????

Macafee security center is the culprit.
    Open Macafee then: select;
    Internet & Network > configure
    Firewall > Advanced
Programm Permissions > scroll down to Itunes
    Highlight (click on)
Then Grant full access to Itunes.
    APPLY then OK
When you select store from Itunes you will need to register with Itunes

Hi davwatto thanks for taking the time to reply.
ok, so tried to open my safari which was version 5.1.7 and i received the error message:
safari can't connect to the server
safari can't open the page http://www.apple.com/startpage/ because safari can't connect to the server www.apple.com
The same error occurred with whatever site I tried to access, so I uninstalled Safari, then reinstalled version 3.2.3 and this time I got the error message:
The same error message occurred with any website I tried to access. I am able to access all websites including banking etc on IE and firefox.
    Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.apple.com/startpage/”. The error was: “unknown error” (kCFErrorDomainWinSock:10013) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Help menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
Not sure how to check the logs for itunes though
If you have any idea how to fix this issue that would be great as im at a total loss.
    Thanks

Try opening an elevated command prompt by going to the start screen, then typing "CMD" without quotes and pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER.  It will ask you if you want to allow it to make changes, click yes.
Then, while in the command prompt, you need to type "netsh winsock reset".  You type this without the quotes.  Make SURE you are in an elevated command prompt window before trying this. If you don't know what that means, search google for "elevated command prompt".

for some reason osx mountain lion has disappeared from my purchases and now when i want to install mountain lion on another mac with the same apple id it wants to charge me for the program even though i have already purchased it. what do i do?

Open the Mac App Store on the other Mac and in the Quick Links sign into your account. See if the Mountain Lion purchase is among hidden apps in the iCloud area of your account info.
