TS1424 cannot remember password to old email address

I changed my email address and password and now cannot remember my old password to get into my ipad or iphone. Does anyone know how to do this?

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

If you can't get the password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com (you can't remember your answers to your security questions ?) then try contacting Support in your country and see if they can reset your password for you.

Can't update apps. Ipad asking for password to old email address

I I'd updated my email address several months ago. The App Store app worked fine. Now all of a sudden it's asking me to log in using the old email address and wants the old password. In settings for both the App Store and iTunes are correct. I can sign out and sign in from the settings menu but cannot update my apps through the App Store app itself. This just started today. How do I fix this?

IIf you got the app with your old email you can not change it, you need to update it with your old one. If you get any app with one email you can only use one email. Even if you log into your new email from itunes( scroll under and click on the email and sign out and log in with new email) it still won't let you do it with your other email. Sorry. You can not use different emails for some things. You can go to settings-iTunes and AppStore- update apps( it means it will automatically update apps) it does work, but uses a lot of battery usage. I hve had it on for a long time but I don't mind. hope this helped.

HT6170 help with changing password for old email address

I changed my apple id to my new password over a year ago. Trying to restore my iphone and its asking for the password for my old apple id (old email address) which I no longer have access to. Tried the 'answer questions' to reset but it won't accept my valid birthdate. How can I make this prompt for my old email address go away and make it ask for my new one (new apple id). A similar issue is that iCloud keeps popping up asking for the password for my old email address as well.

You can't link to your new account (you created a new iTunes account, you didn't update your existing account ?) until removed removed the activation lock to your old account - you can then link it to your new account in Settings > iCloud.
If you can't get the password for your old account reset via http://iforgot.apple.com then try contacting Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset it for you.

Updating apps asks for apple id password for old email address

I clicked on update all for my apps and am asked to sign in to itunes store using the apple id password for an old email address.

Then sign in with that Apple ID. Whether your email changed or not is irrelevant. The Apple ID "name" (often the email address you originally used to sign up) should not change.

Accessing password from old email address?

I have changed computers and can't get some of the apps off my ipad and iphone because they were purchased under a different email address. I can't remember the password and I can't change that because it wants to send an email reminder to an email address that is no longer in existence. I can't upload changes to these apps for the same reason. Help!

I had a fare amount of purchased music on my iTunes account of which I have changed service providers and upgraded to a windows 7 Acer computer.I cannot retrieve these songs for I do not know how to go about it ,and if I even can.I don't have that email anymore let alone remember the password..Are all my purchases lost?

How do I change the iCloud account login? It is set on my old email address and won't let me do anything to it.

I can’t login to iCloud because I changed my email address several months ago. I changed my address with iCloud as well, but when I try to login with my phone it prompts me with the old email address. Since my password and old email address do not represent a valid account anymore I cannot login. My iPhone will not let me change the email address associated with the iTunes account. Can anyone help my son has icloud on his phone but registered on my old email address and we cannot delete it as we cannot remember the password... I no longer have access to email address to cannot get them to resend password.

As long as you are going to be able to verify to Apple that your son is account owner, they may be able to help you to reset password.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

You cannot merge accounts.
You need to sign into the old account on your computer.

In one of the help pages for managing your Apple ID (http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40), it shows two separate sections, one for Apple ID and one for Primary Email address. When I go to manage my Apple ID, I see only a single section for both. Can the two be 'separated', especially when you face the situation of having to discontinue your email address for some reason?
I also noticed that when navigating to Apple ID Support Communities, it shows my nickname 'dishdy'. How and when did I insert this? In the current sequence for creating an Apple ID I don't see this. In my current profile I don't see this.
In any case, I have freed myself from my previous Apple ID (@artemis.it) on my iPhone.
