Hello kmb_cb_lb
If you cannot get your rental to play, then report the issue to the iTunes Store to get it resolved or refunded.

  • I cannot watch DVD movie

I cannot watch a movie (2,04GB) on a DVD player. I load the movie on a DVD (4,6GB) in my computer.

    Hi Blackamb3r,
My DVD is a sony. I have tried to watch a movie 2,03GB but I see a data error on my TV screen. I found out that the whole movie was not saved on a DVD disc 4,6GB in my computer. My DVD player suports AVI and DIVX in those the movie was downloaded.
Why a movie 2,03GB wasn't saved on the above DVD disc?. How can I save this downloaded movie by using windows explorer or DVD creation programme?

  • Cannot watch a movie due to AppleTV repeated error

I've installed the update twice, each time it appeared to complete successfully.  When pressing to watch a movie, the apple motion circle appears for 3 seconds and it then stops and reverts back to the main menu.  This is consistent - we cannot watch anything through our Apple TV, this started in January.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Connect the Apple TV to your computer and launch iTunes to restore it, that may help.

  • Cannot watch rented movie on apple tv 1

I recently rented a movie from the iTunes store and downloaded it into my AppleTV (original version). Surprisingly, at the end of the download when I tried to watch the movie I got an alert message on the screen saying my  AppleTV is not authorized to show the movie. Is there something I missed about the compatibility of the original AppleTV and iTunes Store rentals?

    Try de/re authorising your computer.

  • Cannot watch rented movie - Error 5103

I downloaded a movie to rent. It downloaded fine, but when I try to watch it, I get:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (5103).
I did some research and the last thing I could find (from over a year ago) is that this may be because my time is out of sync. But it's not; I auto-sync with an internet time source. And for the record, no, I wasn't trying to futz with the time so I'd have more days to watch it. Just to be safe, I manually re-synced.
The only peculiar thing is that I began downloading it shortly before midnight and finished after midnight.
I tried de-authorizing and re-authorizing my computer, but that didn't work.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening?
    Thanks.

    Figured it out.
This was the first time I had tried to watch a rented movie since upgrading to Windows 7.
The answer turned out to be disabling UAC. As soon as I did that and rebooted, the movie successfully started playing.
So just FYI if you have this problem in the future.

  • I cannot watch a movie and I've bought it

    To whom it may concern,
Last month I purchased a movie called Hitchcock at the price of $14.99. However, I failed to watch it, and it just cannot stream properly. I want to either cancle this purchase or fix the streaming issue.
Could anybody check and give me a response on this issue? Also, I am not sure which number to call in regard to this matter, I would like to have this info as well.
I would appreciate any help on this! Thank you very much!
    Best regards,

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
How/what are you trying to stream the film to ? When you buy films they are downloaded to your computer/device, they aren't streamed from the store.
Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the film from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films or if it re-downloads with the same problem then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history to contact iTunes Support : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • Cannot watch rental movies on iphone 3gs since downloading OS6

Since downloading 0S6 on an iphone 3gs, I get the message "Cannot Open" for two rental movies, one of which I had watched half of and one which I had not watched at all. The time is now ticking away until expiry on both of them and I'm unable to watch them. I've tried a reset but that didn't work.
I have rung up Apple UK twice and got two different operators, one in the UK and then one in the USA. Both seemed very isolated with no contact with other Apple Mac staff except through computer. One told me to contact iTunes support online (he gave me an url and then realized it was the American url and not for the UK) and the other gave me the same url and told me to contact iphone support online.
Both times I was left waiting for an inordinately long length of time when I suspect the operators were dealing with other calls. In fact, I got the impression, rightly  or wrongly, that I was dealing with people who were working from their own homes with minimal training and support and who were being paid for the number of calls they took and, if  there was a call like me which didn't come up with a solution on the computer screen, they went on to other calls and left me hanging.
I did manage to find the Apple UK support page on my own but when I tried to contact them the error message "Service Unavailable - DNS failure. The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later. Reference #11.7f2645f.1348163355.65fe47"
    https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action?locale=en_GB&caller=cup
I haven't had to contact Apple UK for a year or so but I've never had such an awful, waste of time experience before with people who did not seemed at all trained or given the facilities to handle calls. Can somebody please help me on this or give me an email address for Apple Support UK?

I believe the issue is that you have to be connected to the Internet (the iTunes Store) when you play the movie. I'm not sure if that's just when you initially start the movie or not. This is necessary, I'm assuming, to keep tabs on their time limits for viewing the movie once it's started. You could go to iTunes Store and scroll to the bottom and click on Terms of Use. It's all spelled out there under Rentals.

  • HT5085 Cannot watch purchased movies on iPad

For my country, iTunes iCloud doesn't support movies. Currently, I'm not able to watch my purchased movies on iPad (suddenly something went wrong and they're visible, but unavailable...). How can I have my them back? Thanks

    Greetings Shamshin,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you would like to watch previously purchased movie on your iPad without being connected to a Wi-Fi network. In this situation, I would suggest reading over the attached article that explains how to download your movies from the cloud so that they are on your iPad locally and will not require Wi-Fi. If these are the steps your are already going through and you are still required to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, please let me know.

  • Cannot watch rented movie - connection not HDCP

My Toshiba 32WLT68 LCD is HDCP compliant, but the Apple TV won't let me play the HD movie I spent hours downloading because it says the connection does not support HDCP. Could it be the cheap HDMI cable I'm using, or could there be some other issue?

The specs on Toshibas web site say its HD Ready, and it defines HD Ready as being "Concerns the ability of projectors to display high-definition pictures. To meet the HD ready standard the projector must have 720p horizontal lines of pixels, HDMI or DVI with HDCP and component".
I presume from this (and the fact that web sites selling my model of TV list it as supporting HDCP) that it does support HDCP. There is no mention of HDCP in the user manual though.
Do you think it's worth buying a different HDMI cable? Mine was a cheap one from ebay - but there are many people who claim that the quality of the HDMI cable doesn't make any difference. If I'm going to have to buy a new cable, I'd rather buy a new HDMI cable than a component cable - assuming that HDMI will work.
