TS1424 Error (-1202) what is it

Error (1202) what is it

If your option doesn't help, this is what helped me:
Ok, I found one other solution that might possibly work for you as it did for me.  (I have Windows 7)
Go to your start menu and click on Control Panel
Next click on Internet and Network
Next click on Internet Options
Next click on the Advanced Tab at the top right corner
Scroll down to Security, and uncheck the tab that says "Check for server certificate revocation*"
Click Apply, then Click ok.
You will now have to restart your computer for the change to take effect.
I did this and now the iTunes Store loads. We shall see if it continues to work or if I have problems again a week later like I did before.
Hope this helps.

I'm getting the same error message when trying to redeem a code or access my previously purchased list.  Very annoying, and I've already tried the available workaround (adjust IE settings, check registry settings, etc).

I downloaded a Joss Stone album and one of the songs didn't download because an error -100000 happened. What does this mean and how do I get this song that I paid for? Any help would be great, thanks.

Mine would give me that error if Genius data was updating in iTunes. I turned Genius OFF then back ON (logged back in) using the Store Menu commands and the problem went away.

  • TS1424 ERROR 1009:; what does mean?

hi.my itunes appear this error ERROE CODE:1009 please help me

Try iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting :
    "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023"
These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:
See iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
    Mac OS X:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads   Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.

    Windows Vista:
  \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\

    Windows 7:
  \Users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\

    Windows XP:
  \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
    Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading Digital Copies using Windows:
Use MSCONFIG (directions for Windows XP and Windows Vista/Windows 7) to disable conflicting software.
If using MSCONFIG steps resolves the issue, you may want to use the System Configuration Utility to turn on the third-party System Services and Startup Items one at a time (restarting your computer after turning on the item or items) to identify which System Service or Startup Item is causing the conflict.
You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to reoccur.
If you are able to isolate the issue to a particular third-party software, you may wish to contact them to let them know of the conflict.

    What about error -1202?
I've had problems with Win 7 64bit installations spanning iTunes 10 to now iTunes 11.
Connecting to the store generates -1202 unexpected errors.
I can't seem to find clear definition to what error code -1202 is...

I run across the same problem upgrading to ios 5. I finnally took my phone to future shop (totally away from my server, wifi, laptop and its firewalls etc) and the upgrade is now installed. Last night I tried uploading ios 5 on my wifes phone (purchased at exactly the same place and time as mine and it worked perfect the first time, go figure. The only difference was i was running windows vista on my laptop and my wife has windows 7 on her laptop who knows if this has some effect on the upgrade.

I purchased an album and am missing parts of songs. Tried to re-download, but itune store is giving me error -1202. I also tried to transfer from iphone, but nothing changed. Any ideas on what else I can try?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • TS1424 How do you fix error -1202

When I try to purchase from the Itunes store I get error -1202. Does anyone know a fix for this?

I bought an external hard drive, backed up my important docs and photos, and reset computer to factory setting.  Seems to be working - I can actually download and get my music from the Cloud!  Still don't know what the error is, since my Apple rep stopped replying to me after my case has been open for 6 months, but at least the program is working again.  Good luck!
