TS1424 error when enter password in itunes on mac

i got this error message when putting in my itunes password on my mac: "Connectionmanager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url"  I reset my password, signed out and signed back in, and got the same message again.  i was able to sign in to my icloud and imessenger with the new password, but i still get this error message in itunes.  i sent an em to itunes support and got no response.  please help!

Hi Daniel ...
Since Apple couldn't figure this out.. I'll give it a shot.
Tap Settings / General. Turn on Location Services
Then in General tap Date & Time. Make sure you have the correct time zone selected.
If nothing above has helped, you didn't mention what troubleshooting Apple suggested so I'm hoping if they didn't suggest you restore the iPad's software, that may help.
Follow the instructions here on page 139 of the iPad Online User Guide: http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPad_UserGuide.pdf

  • Error when entering serial number to redeem digital copy.

I recieved an error when entering the serial number for my digital copy of Juno and have been unable to download the digital copy into itunes.
However I have since recieved a reciept from apple for the "purchase". Can the serial number be "unclaimed" so I can reenter and redownload the the file. Or will "check for purchases" simply restart the download if I have the Juno disk in the drive.

The error was "Unable to connect to iTunes Music store .....". Which was not the case since I could quite happily move round the rest of the store.
I haven't attempted "checking for purchases", since I just thought of it whilst writing the original post, and I am not at my home PC.
But thanks for the sarcastic response anyway . I was hoping someone who had had a similar problem to me would be able to say. "Yep check for purchase will restart download process" or otherwise say nope , you've got to call apple. Hence the original question.

  • When entering password only hear a ping no letters appear

when entering password at startup  there is a "ping" sound but nothing is entered on the screen I have tried restarting the computer but it makes no difference.

My error on the number of Tiger disks; I meant Panther. I was (and am) using my G5 2.0 Intel for these posts since the G4 isn't working and I had Tiger on the brain.
The disks with the G4 (there are two) are 10.3.2. I have found the first disk (in the Tiger box with the Tiger DVD.)
I started up from original Panther CD (1 of 1) and ran Disk Utility. Repaired permissions. Repaired the HD. It produced six "Reserved fields in the catalog record have incorrect data", one "incorrect leaf record count" and "This volume needs to be repaired" which it did, telling me in a couple minutes that the volume had been repaired successfully.
I quit the CD, which gave me the option to restart. I did. All the problems still exist. Is a Restore and Archive of Tiger the only/best way?
This, by the way, has been a problem machine. See http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=2701051#2701051 The freezes and kernal panics referred to in that thread diminished for a while but returned and I've been living with them. They're also the reason I got this Intel G5.
    Thanks for your help.

Right click the filename that won't download and selsct 'Get Info'. Look at the file path, does it have a //?// in it? That is a problem with Amazon downloads that prevent iTunes from finding the file. Use 'Add Folder' to add the album to your library and try syncing it again

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components
If applicable, disconnect any iPod or iOS device and close Microsoft Outlook.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later).
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (see note 1 below)
    iCloud (if present)
MobileMe (if present) (see note 2 below)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot your computer. Delete any of the following folders where they can be found: (see note 3 below)
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
    C:\Program Files\iPod
    C:\Program Files\iTunes
    also on 64-bit systems:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iPod

Download the iTunes setup file and run it to install. Use an account with administrative rights. This can usually be achieved by right-clicking on the downloaded file and selecting Run as... or Run as Administrator. In some cases a combination of Shift or Ctrl keys may be required for the option to show, or it may not be necessary.
If you deleted iCloud and reinstalling iTunes doesn't automatically reinstall it visit iCloud Control Panel.

  • Visual C++   Errors When trying to update ITunes on Win 8.1

Visual C++   Errors When trying to update ITunes on Win 8.1

Steve, glad that you solved it yourself, but it might be worth taking on board that the steps you mention have not been sufficient for many people which is why Apple and others like myself have been offering somewhat deeper advice. Perhaps reiterating what has often already been suggested in such threads is not really necessary.
Not that you've asked for a critique of your style, but the first sentence of your post above that you are copying elsewhere is appropriate in this thread where you are replying directly to me, anywhere else it perhaps suggests that others should have been able to do likewise and comes over a tad arrogant, though I'm sure that isn't the intention. I wouldn't include it...
    All the best.

Get the following error when trying to sync itunes to Nano itunes could not coppy " Song"  to the ipod because unknown error occurred (-5000).  Any ideas?

Try my script FindTracks. Select a few of the missing files to start with then run the script. Choose No at the first prompt so that you can check how it works track by track, then confirm or edit the location of the media folder where your files are. Once you are happy with how it behaves let it process larger numbers of tracks automatically.
