If you can't find these songs on your purchased list to redownload them (as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519), you'll have to contact iTunes store support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

so my computer broke some how and now it wont even turn on i just want to know if i can still have all my old songs and such without buying it all over again or something so please help me oh also my ipod broke so i dont have anything that has my old songs except for the itunes ppl who know all of my songs
You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -
my iphone was updated with IOS6 and now it wont play any of my music it just svroles through every song and wont stop i turned it off using the twin keys start and turn off but still no help please can some one halp me this apple softwear is crap
Hi alicia243,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your iPhone wont power on, I recommend going through these steps first:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Best,

HT1849 i bought an album and two songs wont play right. how can i fix this
i bought an album and two songs wont play right. how can i fix this
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -
i dropped my phone in water and now it wont play sound except in headphones and i even dried it!
You'll have to buy an out of warranty phone at the apple store.
Just because you dried doesn't mean that there wasn't any damage done. -
I just downloaded and updated the newest version of iTunes. After updating I downloaded some new music and synced the iPod. The music doesn't play. It'll play about 30 seconds of the song and then skip automatically to the next song. I restarted the iPod. I restored it. It still didn't work. Then I tried listening to the music from my laptop straight from iTunes...and it's still doing it.
How do I fix it?I'm assuming the tracks that won't play copy/are displayed with exclamation marks. This happens if the files are no longer where iTunes expects to find them. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

HT1491 Hi, I bought some music and some of the songs of some albums disappeared.
I got some music some time ago and now some of the songs have disappeared and I don't know how to get them back.
Also some of the somgs are with tick some are not but I am not how to get back when they were all ticked.
I have tried to unistall Itunes and then install it again and the situation was still the same.
I really don't know what is going on. Can somebosy help?Whether you can redownload music depends upon what country that you are in (it's not possible in all countries), whether you've changed countries since buying it, and whether it's still in your country's store (record companies occasionally remove songs/albums). What you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes :
I'm not sure what you mean by 'some of the songs are with tick' (?). Do you mean that they have an exclamation mark against them in your library and you can't play them ? If you do then that indicates that though they are still listed in your iTunes library you don't have the actual music files still on your computer. If you can redownload music, and those tracks are still in your store, then you will need to delete those tracks from the Music part of your library for them to get the cloud symbol against them in Purchased so that you can redownload them. -
I recently bought some songs and now i can't find them.they are paid for what do i do?
i purchased some songs at itunes store and was charged for it. my computer went down and now those songs are not showing up. what do i do
Did the ever download? If not then click Store>Check for Available downloads.
If they did download and are now lost:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
I just tried to jailbreak my ipod and it wouldnt work so i just ended the whole thing and it erased all my photos and it wont play any music. How do i fix this?
The reason the alphabetical sections aren't showing is because you don't have enough songs. In order for them to show, you have to have a certain number of songs. ( I think it's 40 ).

IS THERE A REASON WHY MY IPOD TOUCH WONT TURN BACK ON.? BEFORE IT SHUT OFF MY BATTERY WAS FULLY CHARGED. ANY SUGGESTIONS OUT THERE TO HELP TURN MY IPOD BACK ON PLEASE...??
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Anyone have any ideas why the latest version of iTunes makes the iTunes store completely unresponsive. The previews don't load properly and it generally hangs. I'm pretty sure it's a problem at Apples end. Could be costing them a lot of money as it's
