TS1424 I bought the game Modern Combat 2 a little while ago on my account, and then I later decided to delete because of too much memory, and now it's telling me I have to pay $6.99 for it again?
I bought the game modern combat 2 a little while back.. Anyways I decided I didn't want it anymore and deleted it... Last night I was browsing through the app store and I saw it, and it's telling me I have to pay $6.99 again.
As long as it's the same app, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy it, then you should be able to re-download it for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

From reading on the internet, it appears that when there is a spike in memory usage, AVG "interprets" that as a memory leak, possibly caused by malware. AVG could be incorrect concerning that assumption. Maybe they are being a bit too conservative about memory usage; just my opinion.

Want to travel only with my Ipad. Would like to easily upload, with one click, large 7GB folders of both Excel spreadsheets and Word documents to ICloud and then be able to view, change and create individual spreadsheets and documents using Numbers and Pages on my Ipad through the internet? Pages and Numbers can save to iCloud, Word and Excel can not. -
itunes is really ******* me off nowadays.
If you can't find it try telling your itunes to check for downloads.
It should come up in the list of things to download.
You have to be signed in to check for downloads though.

This has been happening for several months now.
I use AVG anti-virus and it runs both updates and scans regularly. I do find that if I do an extra full scan it improves the situation for perhaps half a day.
Sometimes the fault slows down the browser so much that it times out and I have to click the retry button.

Right now Task manager Performance tab on Memory says: Total 3958; Cached mem 1588; Avail 2239; Free 722; Physical Mem 43% and this window is the only thing open. Kernel mem (MB) says Paged 179 and Nonpaged 80.
I can get you more info if you tell me what you need (and where to find it - I am 60 y.o. woman and this is not my forte :=)

I just bought the new MacBook Air a few days ago and my Internet connection is so slow. My iPhone's connection works fine when connected to the wifi but the MacBook connects for a few seconds then drops completely. What do I do? I tried connecting it to my phone's hotspot and it works perfectly. I'm a new Mac user so I have no idea what to do. I have Comcast xfinity cable and Internet. Thanks for the help.

I have been getting errors on the media plug in for windows media player. I noticed last night after defragmenting that all my loaded IE8 XP games are gone. I think they were exported to foxfire. I turned on the repair for the plug in, still no folders or files with games. Any idea where to look? Thank you.
Hard drive getting full or near full?
Here are some of my tips for deleting or archiving data off of your internal hard
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Other things you can do to gain space.
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive older emails you want to save to disc, Flash drive/s or to ext. hard drive.
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, Flash drive or ext. hard drive and/or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Uninstall apps that you no longer use. If the app has a dedicated uninstaller, use it to completely uninstall the app. If the app has no uninstaller, then just drag it to the OS X Trash icon and empty the Trash.
Also, if you save old downloaded .dmg application installer files, you can either archive and delete these or just delete the ones you think you'll never install, again.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its thing initially, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run all of the processes in the tabs. Let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be thinned out, moved, also, to the external hard drive and then either archived to disc, Flash drive or ext. hard drive and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
You may have to Purchase an external hard drive to move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.

They are only free via the account orginally purchased or if they came pre installed on the computer. Depending on what you have purchased already us the one account for the app store - saves headace and hassel in the future thus not double buying software. Do you have iwork installed on your imac? meaning the iwork 09? if you do your should be able to to to the store and update it. Worked fine for me since i bought the DVD version of iwork 09 and Aperture 3. I did not want to have to rebuy them so the app store noticed i had them installed and changed the update via the app store.

Your Mac and your iPad use different apps because they have different operating systems. If you purchase an app in the Mac App Store, you can install it for free in all your Macs, and if you purchase an app in the App Store for your iPad, you can install it for free in all your iPhones, iPads and iPods touch, depending on your app.
It's normal that you have to pay for the iOS and Mac versions -
