TS1424 Itunes store will not let me sign in. Id/password ok and Works on IPAD
I can use my id and password ok on my ipad but cannot get my imac to let me sign on to the apple store detail of my account , ie past purchases.
Keeps reprompting me for my password.
Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466, and ask for account security. You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

updates are stupid. The letest apple itunes update will not let you keep your old password.
Probably pertains to those of us who have kept same password for apple id since inception. New rules make you do all sorts of stupid characters instead of keeping it simple.sam it sounds like ur password has a low level of security and new update wants to to make it stronger
when it askes to to make ur password just put ur old one back in but replace some letters with caps and numbers

Nothing on Apple's services has worked correctly since they started this iCloud c**p. Did anybody there actually think this through before implementing it? I can't get on iCloud because I only have one email account and it's associated with no less then three Apple IDs (their server hiccups and I get locked out.) Now I can't make purchases in iTunes.
If you are getting a message stating that you are not verified. Then you might have not received the iTunes Store verification email. You will need to contact iTunes Customer Support. They will be able to verify your store account. Then you will be able to sync your iPod Touch while signed into your store account. Your iPod Touch should allow you to purchase your Apps from that point on.

As I went to open itunes, an error message came up saying "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." No matter how many times I try, nothing restores the itunes store.
I have also had this problem in the past, and on another computer, but a representative told me to fix my security settings, which i did and it worked...but after trying it on my computer the change security settings did not help.

TS1424 itunes store will not take my Apple ID password
This happens EVERY TIME I try to purchase music from the store. I click on the buy button and the sign in window pops up. I enter my Appe ID email and password but it pops up again (not taking my login info). The only way I can get into the store is to say I forgot my PW, reset it, and create a new one. I can then access the store but the next time I try to log into the store the same scenario repeats. Please help!
I think it is because @aol.com is not after my apple id but I dont know how to change it in the app store, there is only a spot to change the password.

Even though you're using a later version of iTunes, I'd first try the following document:
iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store -
sign in to itunes store will not disappear and the whole IPad will not let me go into other screens till this pop up goes away. I have entered the password several times and still will not disappear. Turned the IPad on and off but the pop up remain
FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try resetting Network Settings
Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again. -

Download them to iTunes abd then sync the apps. Make an appointment with Apple and see what the problem is. -

- The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
- Instead, try restoring from backup. -

What do you mean by 'will not let me download' ? Is the buy/download button greyed out ? Are you getting any error messages ?
