TS1424 iTunes tells me my email has changed or is invalid

iTunes tells me my email has changed or is invalid when I try to log in. Therefore I can upgrade any apps or buy music

I am having this problem too. I recently changed ISP b/c I wanted the iPhone, so I had to update my iTunes username to my Gmail account.
In fact, I logged in HERE using it as my new Apple Id... so it works!
But for some **** reason that is driving me nuts my iPhone will not connect to the iTunes store using my new Apple Id. It keeps saying my email has changed or is invalid and asks me to sign in to change it. So I do that, and it lets me in USING MY NEW Apple ID!!!! Then I go back out to the buy the App and the madness starts all over.
Come on Apple, do you want me to buy your apps, or what?

    Help. I've tried everything including logging a request with Apple iTunes support - through the usual means, filling out the online request form. Still to no avail.
    The story goes like this, I changed my ISP about three weeks ago. I'm pretty sure my registered email address was the one from my old ISP. Oops!
    So I go to buy an App or Music from iTunes, it tells me that my account has changed and I should view and change my details.
    I go ahead and enter my valid email address. Press Done. No verification email arrives in my account. Nothing in the junk mail either.
    No matter what I do, no matter which of my valid email addresses I enter - I have two. I can't get iTunes to accept my email change.
    I have logged two requests for assistance now - with great replies of Apple Support Staff telling me how important I am and how my issue will be fixed ASAP. But, nothing yet. It's been almost a week. Getting quite disappointed with Apple iTunes support.

    I have been using a .MAC since the dawn of time. APPLE recently about two weeks ago prompted me for an alterante email and I provided one.  Today I tried ot make a purchase on several different devices and am getting "Your email address has changed or is invalid"
    Any suggestions?
    NOTE I am able to log into the site and icloud as I always have no issues.

  • Atv error message "Your email address has changed or is invalid...."

    this error message first appeared when i originally bought my atv in the spring. After tech support and swapping the my first atv, I eventually setup a second itunes account with a new email address and the issue went away. However occasionally it persists. the full message is "Your email address has changed or is invalid. Go to the itunes store on your computer and update your account info." Surprisingly I am able to log in to itunes on my computer with the same email address and login on my apple tv, but when i attempt to purchase or rent the error message appears and prevents my from buying. Sometimes like tonight i give up and just don't purchase anything. Anyone know how to fix this?

    We had this same problem, and we found a fix that seems to have worked. It's a silly bug having to do with a change in the way your state of residence is stored in your account. The problem and fix is described here:

    To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
    To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
    To change the ID on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, choose Delete for all the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in with the changed ID.

    I've looked in Preferences and at all the Mail dropdown items but can't find any way to get the old menu back (or why it changed).  In particular, I miss the "copy image" item which allowed me to copy an item image into a new email for forwarding.  I've got two email accounts, an IMAP and a POP.  The behavior is the same with both.
    Any ideas?

    Your screen shots are not visible to me.  But I think I understand your question.
    Several thoughts come to mind:

    You can still, of course, simply forward the entire email message containing the image.
    You could also use the "Save Attachment ..." feature available when you right click and copy and paste from there once the image is saved.
    Less likely, you could also use the "Share" feature available when you right click, though I suspect it may not offer sharing options that you would like.

    System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, then sign back in using the ID and new password.

    have you deleted the account and re-added it?  Have you done a reset or restore as outlined in the iPhone user guide?  What troubleshooting have you done?

    I am using Sharepoint 2010 and for one of my Lists, I am using a general list workflow.  What I need to be able to do is determine if a column value has change (say an "Assigned To" field) because I only want to take some action if that particular
    value has changed.  I want to be able to have a workflow action that would be something like:
    If Current Item: Assigned To not equals [OLD VALUE]
    I have found some web searches that talk about creating a duplicate list or duplicate (but hidden) column but that doesn't seem to be the way to go.  I have document versioning set but don't if that can be used to help with this.  One possible
    thought (although I haven't tried it to see if it works) is to create local variables and have the values in the variables be the "old value".  Just not sure if there is a best practices for doing this.

    Not sure I fully understand your goal.  We don't use "tasks" at all but if you are looking to have your workflow check certain valus and be able to send email messages to people based on whatever, then you can certainly do that (as long as your Sharepoint
    has the email setup.  We do this for alot of workflow tasks.
    So, in the workflow you can have a blanket statement like what I previously listed:
    if Current Item:hiddenStatus  not equals Current Item:Status
        .... do something
    or you can do something like:
    if Current Item:hiddenStatus equals "In-Progress"
        .... do something
    Else if Current Item:hiddenStatus  equals "Completed"
        .... do something
    or combine the two and do nested "if" statements.  Then you add an email statement wherever you need it like:
    if Current Item:hiddenStatus  equals "Completed"
       then email "these users"
    To add the email part, just type in "email" on the line where you want to add a statment.  There is only one option to choose from.  That will display the line "then email these users".   The "these users" will be a link.  When you
    click it you will get a popup to add the email info.  We typically will send the email to a user (or users) that are already listed in one of the PeoplePicker fields.  On the email form, you can type in your own text, designate that a value is based
    on a column value (like our PeoplePicker), designate that a value is based on a workflow variable, add a link to the current item, etc.  To get to these options you will click the button to the right of the fields or use the "Add or Change Lookup" button
    in the bottom-left for the text area.  There is alot you can set in the mail.

    Thats ok, I thought mayee you didn't get my email no worries - but yes bascially I'm having the same problem, my email address associated to my account has changed and I can't get into that account as I am being asked to reset my password via an email no longer in use.

    Hi went onto email yesterday and it looks totally different to what I have been using, when I go into my partners email it is the one that I have been using so cannot understand what has happened, can someone please advise where/what I need to do to get my original email set up as it was?  Hope that makes sense and hope I am on the right section of the forum!

    I think you might find that your partners will change at some point. I have just re-checked mine and it has changed to how you have described yours. It looks like the old style of BTYahoo mail. As I have said I think at the moment the best thing to do is to wait and see what happens after BT and Yahoo have stopped mucking about with it. Hopefully it won't be too long. The main thing at the moment is that at least the email still appears to be working.

    For some reason my mail has changed without me knowing what I have done.
    My emails are listed down the left pain and normally they would appear on the right side to read them but now that space is blank.
    to view a message I now have to click on it in the left panel in order for it to open.im not quite sure what I have done to change the way
    the emails open.

  • HOW DO I UPDATE MY ICloud - ID (email has changed)

    i have changed my iTunes email and password. I need to update my iCloud info but old email is there and greyed out - can't change it. How do I update my ITunes ID for my Cloud account.  This Cloud account is shared by six devices.

    To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Repeat this for all of your devices.  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud on all of your devices and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Shitums. I can't recall, Chris. I was on the phone with Apple and they walked me through all of it. They changed my email/ID, to my new one, then I went into itunes and changed it. Then I went to settings on iPad and changed it and all was good! So we hung up.
    Then I went to update all my apps and up pops the OLD ID. BUT if you go into settings the new one is present as is on iTunes.:( I have also synced twice and backed up, thinking that would tell the iPad update thingy the new ID.
    *Go to the app store, click on Featured at the bottom, scroll all the way down, click on Account then sign out and sign in.*
    I will do this now!
