TS1424 Only part of a song downloaded?
I have a few songs that partially downloaded; although it is a 7 minute track, it abruptly ends 1/3 of the way though. Any fix for this.
I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer. -
HT201272 Only part of a song downloaded from itunes store
Only part of a song (the first 12 seconds) downloaded and I nothing in my download list. How can i download the entire song?
Hey AMumey,
That definitely sounds frustrating. I agree that this song may have not downloaded completely. See the following article:
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
Symptoms
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
2. Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
3. Download your previously purchased song from this list.
Note: iTunes in the Cloud, which allows you to download previously purchased songs from the iTunes Store, is not available in every country. Learn if iTunes in the Cloud is offered in your country
Thanks,

HT3951 Only part of a song downloads from Itunes?
Downloaded album, as have done previously...only one track didn't download correctly (first 45 seconds only).... Tried the cloud (which, of course, is identical to what I downloaded to my Itunes (i.e. first bit only). What do I do?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -
Why did only part of a song downloaded play?
I purchased two different songs that are both causing the same problem. They were both purchased as part of an album and also under the title 'Complete My Album'. One song for example is 4:35 long but if I play it, it only plays the first 20seconds. Could someone suggest a way to fix this because it is highly frustrating and unfair having paid the price for the full song but in return not being able to listen to these songs was a waste of money.
Does the track play correctly with another media player? If it does then it is an iTunes issue. If it doesn't then it is possible the file was not completely downloaded, or is corrupt. If you believe it is corrupt:
If you are in a country where re-downloading is possible (iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match Availability by Country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085), delete the track (and the original file) and download again (Downloading [using iOS or computer] past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519). See tips on downloading in https://discussions.apple.com/message/19097773, especially unchecking the "Allow Simultaneous Downloads" box in the downloads tab of iTunes.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases. -

TS3591 Only part of a song downloaded
I purchased "My Humps" which should be over 5 minutes and the song cut off after 1 minute and 26 seconds, how do I get the rest of the song that I paid for?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.

What do I do if only part of a song I purchased actually downloaded successfully and itunes is saying it downloaded successfully?
The song is supposed to last for 2mins 46sec but it cuts out less than a min in to the song.
There is no notification that the download was unsuccessful or incomplete and the 'search for available downloads' option comes back that all songs are downloaded.
What can I do without having to purchase the song again?Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) have you tried deleting it from your iTunes library and redownloading it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes ? If it's still in your iTunes library then iTunes will assume that it doesn't need re-downloading. Re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -

Can I burn only part of a song
Is it possible to burn only part of a song and put only the edited portion onto a CD? Please let me know - thank you!
Go to Get Info for the song and then select the Option tab. There you can specify a different start and/or stop time. Once that's done, when you burn the song to a CD it will be "trimmed" according to your settings.
In addition to this working for CD burning, it also works for making a digital copy of the song without burning to CD. Once you set the start/stop time, select "Convert Selection to (whatever your current import format is set to)". -
I bought an entire album, but only part of it will download. Help??
I bought an entire album for 9.99 and I had 13$ on my account. Only some of the songs downloaded, while the rest said purchased on my iTunes app on my phone. But on my music app it just shows the downloaded ones. So, I clicked on "see entire album" or something and it showed the remainder of the songs available for 1.29. But I've already bought them! I don't have any more credit and I want these songs that I've ALREADY paid for. Help???
What happens when you try to download it again? An error message? Does it try to charge you again?
You may need to tell the iTunes store people about it if its trying to charge you for it again.

I recently purchased Itunes match to download some of the songs from my library onto my phone. Everything downloaded fine. At least I thought, until I tried to listen to my music on my phone. I found that some of the songs that were downloaded from the itunes match are not fully there. The full song plays fine on my computer, however on my phone it will only play a part of the song and then immediately cut off and skip to the next song, while the display still says the other song should be playing. I tried turning off the itunes match and just re-synching the music from my computer itunes library to my phone but still encounerted the same problem. Is there an easier way of fixing this, or do I have to basically restore my whole phone?
Did you let the scan in iTunes finish before you enabled the service on the iPhone? If not you need to. Disable iTM on the iPhone, then launch the Music app and let the content clear out. Once the scan is complete in iTunes re-enable iTM on the iPhone.
