TS1424 says im not connected to internet when i am

I went through shut off my fire wall and virus tried it still said not connected even though I am opened up a secure web page logged on like it said to the store but itunes still wouldnt log on sid internet was not connected. went through start accessories comm promp then typed in all the scribble it said restarted and nothing. Any ideas

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Why do I keep getting message that not connected to Internet when trying to access amazon yet am very obviously am still connected as can access the apple site or banking sites. Have tried resetting.

    I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

    Apple pulled ios 8.0.1 due to some serious bugs mostly affecting 6 and 6plus users. even if you are on another device you will not be able to update until the new update hopefully one that fixes those issue is released. you can always downgrade to ios8 via itunes. make sure you always back up your phone prior to any restores/updates just so that you know you will have your content either on icloud or computer.

    First off, I would like to say that these communities are so helpful in assisting me with my glitches. All the feedback and suggestions I receive always help resolved my problem.
    Since updating to 10.7.5, I've noticed that when never I startup up my computer,, then open my safari to browse the internet, sometimes I get an error page saying that I am not connected to the Internet. I have an ethernet connection and the green light under network preferences sats i am connected. This doesn't always happen but usually a few times a week. If I restart my machine again it usually connects no probl.
    Any advice on what might be happening?
    My safari version is 6.0.5.

    Try repairing permissions.
    Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
    Select the startup  disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
    Select:  Repair Disk Permissions
    This can take a few minutes and better to not use your Mac while it's running.
    When it's finished, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

    I connect on my ipad to my wifi and it sows good signal strength but when i try using the internet it says it cannot because it is not connected to the internet.

    Have you tried rebooting your router - unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in? Is this a new problem? Have you been able to connect to your home WiFi before?

    iOS 8.0.1 is still available for over-the-air and through device iTunes update. One of the fixes with iOS 8.0.1 is over-the-air updating. You might need to do the update over iTunes in order to fix the problem with Over-the-air updating.

    99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
    So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.
    Apple has started to get "tough" with hacked iPhones, & simply won't permit their activation.

    This sounds like you may be experiencing a self-assigned IP address.  Try power cycling your router and testing the results.  If the issue persists, I would recommend going through all of the steps in the article below.

    I have a Mac laptop and was forced to remove the original BB Link OS when the Z10 launched.  I replaced the OS with the current one but now it doesn't allow me to use my Mac's computer name eg.  John Smith's Mac book.     i have the same problem. I have window 7 pc. I had to use internet to download link so i don't understand why it is not allowing me to use link or do set up. I uninstalled my previous bb desktop driver in hopes that would help. It didn't. I appreciate any help on this forum
