TS1424 Unable to download movie

I rented the movie drive when a was only holiday, so I could watch on plane on way home on iPad, but didn't download so a just thought it was because ai was abroad, I'm now home and when I click on retry download it says unable to download movie. Can someone help me please

Same problem here. It downloads about 3/4 of the movie and then says unable to download movie. I can't delete the pending download and it is taking up over 4 GB of space on my phone! Whether it is from insufficient memory or not Apple needs to implement a way to delete a pending download.

  • TS1424 ipad: Rental movie downloaded 98%.. "unable to download movie" error

    Good Afternoon,
I purchased a rental movie to watch on a plane ride today.  Unfortunately the movie hadn't finished downloading before I left the house.  I've tried 3 or 4 different internet connections (including verified very fast connections at the hotel and starbucks) and I get the "unable to download movie" error.
I can't find a way to delete the rental to try and start the download over, nor does syncing help.  Please assist!
    thank you,

  • TS1566 Unable to download movie

I keep getting an error when I try to download a movie that I purchased. Any thoughts?  I've already tried powering off the iPad.

Thanks for reply.  I can rent the movie on iTunes just fine and it shows at first that it is downloading in my videos app and in the iTunes downloads bucket.  However when you go to videos it shows the icon of the movie and when you click on it and then play it will show a pop up message that "unable to download movie". Done/retry.   You cannot edit the movie either to delete it.

  • I am unable to download movies, MPG, WMV, etc. with Safari. Why? Any solutions?

I am unable to download MPG, WMV,MPEG,etc, movies from the web when I am using Safari. Chrome works fine. Is there something in Safari that has to be adjusted or disabled to make it work?

There is some anecdotal evidence that the scripts on the Apple site that are supposed to detect the version of Windows you are running may fail for some users - jumping straight to the "Thank you for downloading ..." page with the installer not having been downloaded.  As an alternative, you can go directly to the relevant downloads:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (32-bit) - itunessetup.exe
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit) - itunes6464setup.exe
There is an alternative downloader for 64-bit editions of Windows here:
iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
that seems to address the playback issues that some users have been reporting with the full 64-bit version (the alternative installer here is the same architecture as most previous "64-bit" versions of iTunes, i.e., a 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer).  The "for older video cards" reference does not seem to fully define the scope of systems for which this alternative works better.
See turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for more details if you're still having problems with installation.

  • TS1424 "Unable to Download Song" message in iTunes app on iPod Touch?

I did look to see if this question was posted anywhere else, but did not see it. So if it has already been answered, my apologies.
I am hooked up to the wireless, logged into iTunes, credit card good to go. Every time I go to download a song, it stops with "download error" and then another message pops up stating "Unable to Download song" and that it could not be downloaded at this time. I've tried downloading other songs and the same thing happens.

I've been getting this problem too, seems the album/song as noted is corrupted (I did stop it halfway into downloadign when I was in Spain and didn't have a ton of bandwidth). I just need to delete this error message.
    As seen here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18244258#18244258
Swipe the failing song horizontally to get the red Delete option, then delete.
So easy once you know, no?
Once that failed "in progress" download was deleted, I asked iTunes to re-download it and it went through just fine.

  • Trouble being unable to download movies

Hi, I have successfully downloaded movies from itunes for a while now.  However, tonight when I tried to download two separate movies, I received the following errors:
There was a problem downloading the movie. Part of the files seems to be corrupted.
Or — There was a problem downloading “Our Idiot Brother / Jesse Peretz”. An unknown error occurred (-50).
Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again.
I have updated my itunes.  And tried tons of different ways to download the movies, but nothing is working.  I was able to successfully download a song.  Any suggestions?

    Same exact problem:
    "An unknown error occurred (-50).
Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."
I tried express lane support, but I just get some form response form Apple with links to general support threads.

  • HT201272 Unable to download movies to IPad

I can't download movies to new IPAD and also IPhone 4 from iTunes . What am I doing wrong

Are you trying to download or re-download them ? If re-download, then films can currently only be re-downloaded in the US (and not all film studios are allowing their films to be re-downloaded). If you are trying to download films for the first time then are you getting any error messages ?

  • TS1424 Unable to download podcast, error?

I keep getting an "unable to download podcast error"...  It has hung in the downloads for iStore for months.  When I tap to retry, same error.. It is only 1 podcast.  I don't know how to remove it from my downloads...

    Hi neocec!
I have a couple of suggestions for you that will help you troubleshoot this issue. First, you should try to reset the iOS device by following these instructions:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If you are still experiencing issues after attempting that troubleshooting step, you will want to restore your iOS device according to these instructions:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Have a good one!

  • TS1424 Unable to Download best of Kylie minogue cd and videos?

Preorder of best if Kylie ow not available and unable I download and missing videos, anyone else having problem?

    watsonjeremy,
I don't have an answer for you.  But I experience the same issue and I share your pain.  In my case, I have to keep ejecting the CD a few times and then put it back in and eventually iTune will find the CD song names to import.
I also notice that sometimes if I quit iTune entire, then put in the CD, then iTune will start and at that point, it will query the Gracenote database for songs' titles.  Sometimes, if I start a Safari browser or Chrome, click on a new link, then iTune may work again.  But every CD I put in, the very first time may work.  But then if I immediately put in another CD, it will complain about the problem in finding the song names.  Then I will start the cycle of ejecting the CD a few times and/or close out iTune entirely and then start again.  It works sometime, but not every time.  I have even tried to use other USB DVD drive and it does the same thing.  So this is definitely iTune for Mac issue.
I don't have any issue like this when I use the Windows version of iTune.  This is very very annoying on the Mac side.  This is also my first Mac.  So I don't know how other folks are tolerating this.
Hope Apple will fix this because this is ridiulous and it should not be this difficult.  It almost likes that iTune is not accessing the online database to get the names.
P.S. you do want to verify that you are connected to the internet when you are importing your CDs.
    Regards.

  • HT201318 I purchased more storage, and it shows on my iPad. However I am unable to download movies I purchased. Help?

I purchased additional storage on my iPad 2 and it shows that I now have it, however I am not able to download new movies.  Help?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Movies are saved on your iPad storage, not iCloud, so you won't be able to download the movie if you haven't got enough space on your device. Open Settings > General > Usage, and delete things from your device. Contact with Apple if you want to get a refund > http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact

You must use a Digital Copy code in the iTunes Store country where the packaging says it will work. For example, you'll need a U.S. iTunes Store Apple ID to use a code from a U.S. DVD, and you'll need an Australian iTunes Store Apple ID to use a code from an Australian DVD.

  • Error - Unable to download movie

I rented a movie via iTunes on my PC. Once the download was complete I could see a new section of my library titled "Rentals". When I select "Rentals" I can see the movie.
I plugged my iPad into my PC via a USB.
The iPad shows up under "Devices".
I dragged the movie from the "rentals" in my library to my iPad. After a few minutes an error message told me it could not download the movie. I clicked OK.
The movie is not on my iPad when I open the Videos App.
From my PC when I select the iPad under "Devices" and then select "Movies" it says it is on "My iPad". If I click Delete it moves it back to "Rented Movies" but when I click Apply it asks if I want to put this movie on my iPad again I will need to rent it again.
Where is the movie? How can I load it on my iPad without renting it again?

  • HT4539 Unable to download movies previously purchased under I-tunes

My I-tunes shows 4 movies that I bought, however when I go under videos it says that there are no videos. When I go under I-tunes it only allows me to download one of the videos (the other ones, the download symbol it's grey out) After it says it downloaded that one video, it still doesn't show under videos

What instructions are your using ?
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be redownloaded in all), and if you haven't changed countries since buying it (and if the rights-holder hasn't removed it from your country's store), then you might be able to redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes. If you haven't authorised your account on your Mac's iTunes then you can do so via the Store > Authorise This Computer drop-down menu option at the top of your Mac's screen in iTunes.
Or, and if you still have the music on your iPad, connect it to your Mac and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy it over
