TS1425 When I try to select music the bottens don´t go, so I can´t chose what I want. Do I need to send it in to be looked at?
My I Pod buttons are´nt working, what should I do?
Make sure the Hold switch is not in the ON position.
If that's not it, see if you can do a Reset (restart) on the iPod

My ipod touch will recognize my home wireless network but when I try to select it the wheel just keeps spinning. It looks as though I have a good signal but my router is an older apple extreme. I can't trasfer music from my library in itunes to my iphone 3GS. A black ring with a line through it comes up when i try to move music onto my iphone from itunes. How can I fix this so that I can load my phone with music?
How are you trying to transfer it and what are your setting on iTunes. I'm not on a computer that has iTunes at the moment so I'm going from memory and similar issue. If iTunes is set to sync music then I don't think you can select and drag, if set to manual manage music then you can. Also make sure you are dragging to music on the iPhone.

Use Spotlight Search (the magnifying glass on the top right-hand corner of your menu bar) to locate your music files. Then point iTunes to those files.

When I connect my Ipod Nano to my Mac it does not appear in the list of devices, so I can't check what I want it to sinc, such as music videos. It will sinc thr music automaticlly. I can't tell it to sinc anything else.
the same exact thing happens to me except that when i plug it in it tells me not to disconnect it. i had a friend who told me to leave it plugged in no matter how long it took.. i waited for 5 hours or more for my ipod to do something and i got so mad i just disconnected it.it didn't do ANYTHING AT ALL. so, if someday you find out how to make yours work.. can you tell me please? i'm desperate!

As my question says, I am cropping out a figure exactly how I usually do it and for some reason this time it is not working. I made points with the pen tool and then moved it around with the direct selection tool (light grey pointer) and everything worked fine. I then saved the path and usually you just hold down control and click on the picture of the path next to the name and it selects it for you (marching ants) and then I select the inverse and delete the background. This time for some reason when I control and click on the image of the path, it just turns the stage completely black. When I undo it goes back to normal but everytime I try, the same thing happens. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64-Bit) By the way
Can anyone help me?? Thanks in advanceCan you show some screen captures. Ctrl+Click on a Path in the path palette should make a section from the combined path. Have your tried resetting you Photoshop preferences.

My computer gives me an error message that "mail" won't let me shut down, and to "quit" mail in order to shut down. When I go to "quit" mail, the "quit" tab isn't highlighted so won't let me click on it. How can I shut down?

The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

Thanks this has helped me solve the problem.
I used the Outlook Anywhere connectivity tester you suggested. Selected Outlook autodiscover.
It told me that it could not resolve things on any of the 4 tests.
I saw that using the last test "Attempting to contact the Autodiscover service using the DNS SRV redirect method", was the only one likely to work in my case.
I had already changed 3 entries in dns to point at my DDNS address but this had not worked, from the errors I could see that it was just the certificate name not matching so I changed the DNS entries for Autodiscover, autoconfig and _autodiscover._tcp
to be webmail.domain.com which is a CNAME to my ddns address for the broadband router, which in turn forwards ports 80 and 443 to the exchange server for owa and activesync access. I got an error message saying that I had an illegal entry in my SRV record
as a CNAME is not allowed, but it saved the change anyway.
I reran the test and it worked.I can now make new outlook clients attach teo exchange.
Thank you, after 8 hours yesterday of trying to reolve this I suddnely got it to work on one laptop but the other still would not and had lost track of what I could have changed so had no idea what actually made it work.

When i try to play music on itunes it says the original file cant be found. I have music on exyernal dive and it is working . How can i correct this?
See if you have most of the songs with 'Exclamation' symbol precede the name under your music library.
If so, double click a song with ! mark on side, you will be given an option to locate the file where the song is held. Select "locate" and direct it to your External Drive folder / file where the song is and open it.
iTunes then will give you the option to use this process to update all of your library. OK that as this will fix all automatically instead of doing them one by one. -

Assuming this group consolidate without error move on to another group, say F-J. If there is an error divide the original group into smaller chunks until you can isolate which tracks are causing a problem.

When I try to play music downloaded from itunes on my iPhone 4S it says 'this URL is not found on the server'. This does not happen when I play the same music on my iPad. The music plays fine. The message also comes up when I try and login to iTunes on my iMac. Can anyone help?

Every webserver that receives a request from your browser is able to determine the HTTP USER AGENT information unless it has been removed by some software (e.g. firewall) before the request was trasmitted. -
When I convert my pdf doc to word, the fonts go really weird and it also puts some text into boxes. when I try to select the text and change the font, it does not change it properly? This is making it impossible to amend.

If the PDF that you converted already has searchable text, please try disabling OCR as described in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel. (If the PDF was created from a scanned document and doesn't already have searchable text, disabling OCR isn't a great option, as the text won't be searchable/editable in the converted Word doc.)
