TS1436 no preferences tab on my itunes

I want to make a CD from my itunes but it doesnt give me the option to burn a CD.

Missing "Show Links to the Itunes Store" in Preferences Tab

After installing the new itunes 10 i noticed that the link next to any Podcasts title in my library to go to it`s itunes homepage is no longer there.The "Show Links in the Itunes Store" command and check box is missing in the Preferences-Edit-Window in itunes.How do i get it back? Ipod preference pane missing in itunes 7.1?

I just upgraded iTunes to 7.1.1 and want my iPod icon to remain visible, even when it's not connected to my computer. But now, under preferences, there is no tab for iPod, to change this setting. Anyone know where it went?

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. The iPod icon will only display in the source list when an iPod is plugged in. Also, the new iPod page (what you first see when you plug in an iPod, or select one that is plugged in) has all the options that used to be in the iPod preferences tab.

Preference window missing on itunes

has anybody had problems trying to get a summary window to change sync, I have no summary click buttons at top of library, i've reloaded itunes but is still the same ,i'm running windows xp professional.

This might seem like an odd question but have you got your iPod connected? You only get the iPod preference tabs whenever your iPod is connected and showing in the iTunes source list. To get the Summary screen you click on the iPod icon and the preference tabs are displayed in the main pane.

I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes

I'm having the exact same problem. I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen. I can get my library content but the store is a no go. Is there any one out there with a solution?

Chris - thank you so much for trying to help. Your suggestion is actually what I tried the first time. And my calendar doesn't sync or syncs blank (since I've never tried to sync a calendar, I am not sure which). Troubleshooting that is what led me to the other FAQ on syncing a calendar.
I saw a few threads that discussed that it seemed to be a problem with the new iPod software . . . and that the problem may lie with recurring appointments. If thats truly the case, then I'll probably have to quit trying. At least a third of my appointments are recurring ones!

In PC I have changed the default app location from default to other and copied the previous content to new location and changed the Default location in preference. Now in iTunes, my previous apps are not visible. Is there any solution to this?

I can't find the tab in new itunes to synch my contacts in Itunes 11.1.3.
How should I do it? I can't find the info button as stated in the guide.

I, like many others, do not want my contacts and personal info floating around out there in cycber space for anyone to access. I don't care how "SECURE" you think it is, IT ISN'T. I want to be able to sync my contacts from MY COMPUTER to MY MOBILE devices with a simple cord. Apple needs to get off it's high horse and give us back control of our data.
