    They want you to purchase software you don't need, especially in this case, the software is for Windows only.
    Just ignore it.
    BTW, from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari then click Block Pop Up Windows. That might help avoid that.

    Is your problem with streaming audio broadcasts to and are you outside the UK ?
    If so you may have fallen prey to the BBC's Content Distribution Network which often seems to produce problems they keep re-issuing advice such as:

    That simply indicates the build number (sub-version, sort of) of the software, and takes into account beta and test builds. From a user standpoint, it doesn't mean a great deal. There would have been only one "build" available for your device.

I try to download apps it says i need 4.3 i have 4.2.1 however i goto i tunes to update it says 4.2 is latest version but mu buddy bought a unlocked iphone 3g to and he has 5.1 so i googled it and there telling me i need to use whited00r to upgrade the older iphones.     iOS 4.2.1 is the final version of iOS that an iPhone 3G will run, so you will not be able to use any apps that require iOS 4.3 or later. There is no way to get any later version of iOS onto your iPhone without serious hacking, something we cannot discuss here.
    You do not get the option to update iOS directly from an iPhone until you have iOS 5 or later.

  • Hello. can anyone help. I am not sure if there is a fault with my Time Capsule.

    Sorry about the long heading. Wasn't sure how this system works.
    Yes, I have had recent problems with Time capsule and backing up. It does not connect to the internet now for some reason.
    Today I pulled the ethernet cable and power cable out of the back of the Capsule and reconnected, and now there is no light at all on the time capsule.
    In trying to resolve the problem of not connection (and hence no back-up) a couple of weeks ago, I seem to have created a couple more network names in the list of available networks which I would like to delete - does anyone know how I delete these?
    I have read about reformatting the Time Capsule, but I am not sure if this will solve the problem. But Airport Utilities just shows that the internet is searching for a back up disk but is unable to find Time Capsule.
    Any help would be much appreciated. I am a bit 'thick' with these things so please keep any information / instructions basic and easy.

    Did you empty out all the names stored in your wireless setup.. if not then they remain??
    Here is my list.. Click the - button underneath and remove every single name.
    So you have no preferred networks.
    Reboot the computer and start again.
    Unfortunately it can be difficult to get rid of names you created for your own wireless, as those go into one of the lists.
    Find your listing of wireless names.
    /Users/YourName/Library/Application Support/Apple/AirPort/
    Delete all the plists there.. That helped me get rid of the ghosts in the airport utility. It should also get rid of the ones showing in your wifi.
    As far as fixing the TC which seems to be the far more important issue... you did not give me one key piece of info.
    My Time Capsule 3TB model is A1409.
    Does the light turn on?? According to your first post it is now dark.
    now there is no light at all on the time capsule
    The main LED and the ethernet LED must turn on .. they must blink when you power up and flash amber and then if everything is good turn green.. No lights on then nobody is home and the TC is dead. It is typical of the failure of the Gen4 TC.

    The fix which one user has reported that worked was to reflow solder in an oven. A rather difficult and troublesome fix but one which reveals they had a bad batch. If that is what is happening to yours try to get apple to replace it by the methods I have suggested.

  • Hello! Can anyone help me with issues I am having with reception on my iPhone 5

    My mobile says I have full reception,5 bars however when I chat to anyone on the phone the reception quality is dreadful. The person on the other end of the call can hear me fine but quality my end is bad. I'm not sure if the problem is connected to the phone or not but I live in the centre of Glasgow Uk and have never had any problems with reception until I got this phone a couple of months ago. My network provider is O2. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly received.

    Sounds like you are getting interference from something locally. Talk to O2 to see if anything can be done.

    Yesterday evening, 2 nice and genuine (well they certainly seemed it!) guys from BT knocked on the door, saying that we were going to be upgraded on our street to infinity by the 31st March 2011, and would I like to switch?  AWESOME thinks me! and gets everything sorted...
    Well I woke up this morning and thought...'better check', so I went onto the infinity website and checked for Milton Keynes -- due to be upgraded by March 31st - GREAT!, but phone line checker says 'no plans'
    I have since rung BT FIVE times to try and get a straight answer from them, but I can't -- I have heard everything from you SHOULD be getting it right through to Def. not.
    I only want to switch if I can get it, but if I can I do!!
    Any ideas what I could do?

    The date given is only an estimate and may be subject to change between now and the 31/03.

    hi all, got my iphone 4s a few weeks ago, few things im having probs with,one being when connected to my wifi in my house it decides to dissconnect it every few seconds on its own( my 3g never used to do this), and another prob is when downloading any app from the app store, the app box comes up on the screen but the progess bar does not move to show its downloading and the box stays grey no matter how long i wait, but if i then turn the phone off then back on again, the app is installed ? cheers

    DId you make sure you checked that the contacts box is checked marked to sinc? when you go into Itunes click your phone then next to summery there should be a tab called info click that and make sure your contacts is marked then click apply
