TS1459 Can,t get i tunes with mac book osx 10.4 to work
I have a mac book pro running on osx 10.4.11 I have created an apple account and when i go onto my i tunes it says (make sure your computer date is set correctly and that it accepts cookies from i tunes store.) I then click more info and it sends me to the i tunes 10.6.3 When i have download this i fined that you need osx 10.5 or higher. can someone help

If your Mac is running v10.4.11 as your profile suggests, iTunes v9,1,1 is the highest you can go running Tiger.
See if you can do this with iTunes...
Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Check for Updates...

Can't connect to wi fi network; network works with mac book
can't connect to wi fi network with ipod touch. network is working, as i'm able to get on-line with mac book; have cable based wireless router.
Try;
- Reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power of and then back on yur router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>reset>Reset Network Settings

Can you see the network?
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Any error messages (can't join, password incorrect)? -

I just updated my MAC operating system and when I went to open a recent document in numbers, the document that opened had none of my data and was formatted differently. Can I get my document with all my information back?
I suggest the easy stuff first:
1) quite Numbers and restart Numbers
2) reboot the computer

As Dropbox is encouraging people to set it up for automatic uploading of photos they gradually increment your space as you load more pictures for free at the current time.
You do start with a fixed 2 GB but if you upload photos you will be awarded more free space.
You can also open a free account with Flickr - you may have some upload limits per day but you can upload pictures there. -
You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports. Mine is mac OS X version 10.6.8. I have adobe suite CS4, and I can't get too far with that! I was trying to upgrade. Any advice?

You need your CS6 serial number to complete the installation. -
Just tried setting up bootcamp on 2014 MacPro 13" laptop. Computer now boots to white screen before going to black screen with curser in upper left corner. Can anyone get me back to Mac operating system so I can start over again?

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

I have itunes set up on a PC with all my music, apps, etc. I want to stop using PC and move my iTunes and files to a Mac I bought and synch my iPhone with the Mac. Can I just synch iPhone with Mac iTunes and will it copy all my stuff onto Mac, or will I have to copy files from PC onto Mac?

Can I get a MBP with 32 GB of RAM?
Can I get a MBP with 32 GB of RAM?: I know someone is going to give me a 1-word reply: "NO".
But what I want to encourage is a bit of a discussion here. Why not 32 gb RAM? Isn't it about time? It can't be the price or?? Can't the software handle it?
I keep things a long time--- 10yr+ PBG4; 5 year MBP-13" --- and that's great when I could (and have) upgraded with more RAM, SSD's etc. But today's Macs are basically sealed boxes like an iPad I believe (talking MacBOOK / MBP's here, not iMacs)(although they are fairly tightly sealed nowadays, too!). So I really have to purchase thinking "What will I need in 2020 or 2022?" -or- "How do I win the lottery?"
Any comments appreciated -- I was planning to upgrade my mid-2010 MBP from 8 gb to 16 gb RAM (yes, you can… just this one model of that age) --- but perhaps save the $150 and put it towards a new one--- then again, $150 is only about 5 hours of an Watch so might just do that anyway…

Friday 10 April 2015I believe this IS a problem -- it is an issue I have about not being able to run things without enough RAM.
And I think "No you can't" is not a very helpful answer at all! In fact I prefaced my inquiry / problem with my first sentence thinking someone like you would give just such a reply---- was trying to avoid that!
There might be companies out there like OWC or Crucial or I don't know who -- that could / might / might some day provide increased RAM for existing MBP's just like for my MBP 2010 that is spec'd at 8 gb max RAM but there is a 16 gb solution out there.
So if anyone else would like to try to solve this problem for me --

I am afraid the only (legal) way is to buy it second hand with a licence transfer through Adobe, from someone that has not used CS5.5 for any kind of upgrading (including a discount on CC).

I am trying to install Maya 6 on my mac and I get the error that my computer is too new... where can I get a copy of MAC OSX 10.4 to install? For other sources, do a Google search for MA453Z/A (10.4.6), MA190Z/A (10.4.3) and M9639Z/A (10.4) . Also look on eBay. Possible Alternative if you are currently using Panther 10.3 – Do a Google search for Tiger 10.4 Upgrade DVD. It will upgrade your 10.3 to 10.4, but it doesn’t contain the full retail Tiger installer. Should be cheaper than the retail Tiger install DVD.

eBay. You should get a "retail" copy (which came on three CDs not one DVD), black with a big silver X. Don't get a copy that came with a particular Mac model (grey color), unless it happens to be the disc that came with your particular Mac model.
You may want to consider getting Tiger (10.4) instead, if your Mac supports it. Tiger provides better software compatibility with more recent applications, compared to Panther.
If your Mac is a G4 or G5, 867 Mhz or faster, with at least 512mb of RAM, Leopard (10.5) is also supported.
NOTE: Leopard does not have "Classic" mode for running Mac OS 9 apps. Tiger (and earlier) does.
