I have a Various Artist as an Artist on my Itunes library....The Artist has 67 different Artist with 79 different songs all under Various Artist? How do I seperate them and make each artist Individual??

How do I break up a large PDF into 8"x11" pieces and print?

I downloaded a super large PDF map that probably has to be split into at least ten 8.5"x11" pages in order to print
(and then i will have to splice/tape the printed pages together, to form the map).
So my question is:
How do I tell Photoshop (or just Acrobat??) to split the massive image up, so that it prints in pieces properly onto 8x11 pages?

How do I search for a specific artist in the itunes store? I can't find a search bar.

I am trying to find a specific artist who's music I want to purchase but I can not locate a manual search bar to input the artist name. I do not want to nor do I have the time to look through all featured artists to locate the specific artist to purchase. At this point I'm about to go to a brick and mortar store and just buy the CD.
This is very irritating.

If you are missing the Search field you may be missing the entire top section, together with the progress bar when playing and the red, yellow and green buttons. This can happen if iTunes overlaps the top of the screen (which of course it shouldn't do).
If this is the case, click and drag on the very bottom right-hand corner of the window (when in Library/Music or the iTunes Store) and drag upwards to reduce the height of the window. Then click on the bottom bar and drag downwards.

Breaking down one big track into individual clips...

I recorded a live performance of a band I was filming for via Audacity and now I have a pretty good quality live recording I would like to use to match with my video footage. The problem is that it is just one huge mp3.
I got it into Garageband and trimmed it up and broke it down into the individual songs that I want, but now I can't for the life of me figure out to export each individual track. It keeps putting them all together as one song.
Please help. This is literally the first time I've ever used Garageband, but I am getting used to it I think

Now I just turned on the cycle region button selected the portion I wanted to export, then went share>export song to disc. I set it to mp3. It said it was creating mixdown and then normalizing and looked like it was processing. I went to look in the folder where I set it to save to and nothing is there. I just did a spotlight search for the title and nothing...
What did I do wrong?

How do I break up a Section? (in Pages)

I have a Section that Pages has created as I have built a up a document (not quite sure why it's done this, but that's one of the mysteries of Pages).
As I've been moving individual pages around within the Section, it's been adding extra pages within the section.
In theory, I should be able to delete these by clearing them of content, but what happens in practice is that as I delete the last bit of content from such a page it deletes the whole Section. (Which I then have to recover by using Undo).
I think the best way to deal with this is to break up the whole Section into individual pages, but netiehr Help, nor Apple, nor the iWork '09 book has any suggestions on how best to do this.
Any clues?

Hi. We are upgrading my operating system from Windows 2000 to XP on my computer that currently runs iTunes. I have my entire iTunes folder backed up on another computer. I know I'll probably have to reinstall iTunes after the OS is upgraded. But how do I add all that music back into the new version of iTunes? We won't be replacing the hard drive, so all that music should still be on the same computer.
When I reinstall iTunes, will it automatically add the music back, or will I have to do that manually? If so, how do I do it? Just go to the "Add a folder" option in iTunes and add the entire iTunes folder? If I do that, my playlists should be restored since I have the .itl file in that folder, right?

I can dispay and play Albums that are by various artists in my iTunes Albums Library. Also all songs are displayed in iTunes Songs List
and shown as Various Artists
But when I look in Libraries>Music>iTunes>iTunes Media> Music
there are no names called ' Various Artists'
Any ideas why this is

"Add Folder to Library" is still in the file menu, but you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the file menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:

Imported CDs are being labeled as "various artists" not by the actual artists name. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Thank you, J

Highlight a track and press command ( or ⌘ key) and the letter "i" at the same time to enter the editor window.
Use shift+click to select a range of trakcs, or command+click to select multiple individual tracks.
Various artists is often used where an album has several artist on it (read links below). If you don't group them some way then you will find multiple albums listed in iTunes with each one being an artist on the main album. The individual artists should still appear in the artist window but it is possible the database used to label your CD was incorrect. CDs do not have the information on them, they get it from an Internet database. Anybody can submit track names so you don't always get good ones.

How do I keep imported albums featuring various artists in one list?

I'm new to iTunes and have not figured out how to create a single library listing when importing CD's that feature various artists. iTunes always creates separate library listings for each artist, spreading them across the library in alphabetical order. I can make a single playlist from all of the library listings, but I'd rather that the album just lists as a single listing in the library. (the song order gets messed up)
Has anyone figured out how to accomplish this? Many thanks in advance.

As Zevoneer pointed out, first thing to do is select all the tracks in the compilation album, do a Get Info and make sure they are checked off as "Part of a Compilation".
Next all you have to do is click on the "Album" heading and it will change to Album By Artist, then clicking again Album By Year and one more time brings you back to Album.
As it turns out, both the Album by Artist and Album by Year sort by artist first in the list then either by album name (Album By Artist) or the Year (Album by Year).
Finally, go into Preference and in the main (General) tab there is a check box for "Group Compilation while browsing". Check this box.
Now if you sort by the other two "Album" sorts (by artist or by year), your main library will be listed by artist alphabetically. Then within each artist the albums but alphabetical or by year. And finally, if you scroll down to the bottom your list, you will find your compilation albums grouped nicely together by album rather than scattered all over the library.
