TS1474 Two separate accounts on one computer

How do you sync 2 seperate I pads from 2 accouonts to one computer without getting them mixed up?

Don't the itunes selections nad apps and things get mixed up?
They should not, as each computer user's account maintaines its own files and folders for these (one user should not even be able to access and certainly not change the files in another users account).
Of course, all it takes is one of you using the others login account with your iPad once to mess it all up

  • We have two iTunes accounts on one computer. Why is my music, apps, etc showing in my husbands account? home sharing is not selected

    We have two iTunes accounts on one computer. Why is my music, apps, etc showing in my husbands account? Home sharing is NOT selected. This recently became an issue when we added additional devices. Now we keep getting each other's apps!

    He intentado creando nuevas cuentas y desinstalando iTunes y volviendolo a instalar.
    Favor de orientarme en la solucion adecuada para el asunto comentado anteriormente.

  • I have two iTunes accounts on one computer.  Is it possible to share between the two?  If so, how do I do it?

    I have two ITunes accounts on one computer.  One is a classic iPod, the other is for a Nano with a different user.  Is it possible to "share" playlists?  If so, how do I go about doing that?

    videoDVD is a delivery format, normally end of the of the road...
    but, you can convert dvds into something editable, you need 3rd party tools, your options are, in recommended order:
    * DVDxDV (free trial, 25$, Pro: 90$)
    * Apple mpeg2 plugin (20$) + Streamclip (free)
    * Cinematize >60$
    * Mpeg2Works >25$ + Apple plug-in
    * Toast6/7 allows converting to dv/insert dvd, hit apple-k
    * connect a miniDV Camcorder with analogue input to a DVD-player and transfer disk to tape/use as converter

  • Can I set up two iTunes accounts on one computer?

    I have a personal iTunes account set up on my laptop, but I need to create an account for my school. Can I have two iTunes accounts on one computer?

    I think you can. But issues can happen when you sync, transfer, and back-up with itunes on computer.

  • HT5620 How can I set up two separate accounts on one iPad?

    How can I set up two separate accounts on one shared iPad?

    The iPad is meant to be a single user device.
    It is possible to use multiple ID's on an iOS device, but when you switch ID's and download content with another ID, you associate the device with that ID for 90 days and lock yourself out of the other ID for that 90 day period.
    So while it is possible, it's not advisable.

    You can. Log in and out as needed, or create a new Windows XP user account.

  • Move two iTunes accounts onto one computer and keep them separate?

    I recently got a new mac os x lion and I need to put my families iTunes library on it. the problem is that one separate account is on a computer, and the other separate account is on an external hard drive. I need both different accounts on one computer and continue to be separate. Im hoping to be able to log in and out of my own account without disturbing the other one. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Why don't you create a username (at OS level) for each one of the users?  You can then import the contents of each one of the accounts you mention into the appropriate iTunes.

  • Can you have two iTunes accounts on one computer?

    Just bought a MacBook Air which I'm sharing with my husband. Is it possible to have two active iTunes accounts on one computer? We both have very different tastes in music and we have our own iPhones that we'd like to update differently. Would be great to have the option to separate our accounts.

    Yes you can... and it's not that hard

    can i have two itunes accounts on one computer

    Hello Barry
    It is a yes and no answer. Yes you can but you cannot have them in the same iTunes library or one of the accounts cannot be associated for 90 days. You would need to have either a separate user or separate iTunes library to have both Apple ID’s on the same computer.

  • I have two apple accounts on one computer. How do i delete one account without deleting the other?

    I have two questions!!
    I need to know how to delete one account without deleting the other account on the computer?
    I am deleting the account because i have a new laptop that now has the my account... will deleting the account on one computer affect the account on the other laptop?

    What do you mean by deleting the account? One can't delete an Apple ID/iTunes account. One just stops using it.
    Since yo can only have five computer authorized for one iTunes account you might want to deauthorize the computer for that account

  • Can two user accounts of one computer use two different Mac ID accounts?  I'd like to keep separate accounts for movies, music etc.

    I have a Mac Air running 10.8.5, with two users on it.  I'd like to keep separate Apple store accounts accounts for the two users, as we have separate music, movies, books etc.  To date, we've had separate computers, but now will share the one computer.  But when the second account is signed in and we try to sign in to the I-tunes store, or authorise the computer with the second account, the response is "the I-Tunes store is not available" or "we cannot fulfil your request at this time".  Togetherness is nice, but I'd prefer to have some privacy.

    Hi Harrike2000,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like you’re running into an iTunes Store connection issue in one of the user accounts on your MacBook Air, and you want to know if the issue is related to using multiple Apple IDs or user accounts.
    You can use multiple user accounts and Apple IDs with one computer, see this article for more information:
    How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer - Apple Support
    For the issue connecting to the iTunes Store, try the suggestions in the article linked below.
    Can't connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support
    Troubleshoot issues on a Mac
    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store, a software conflict or your Internet service provider (ISP) may be blocking your access.
    Update iTunes and Safari to the latest version.
    If you have a firewall, your settings may be preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store. Follow these steps to configure your firewall.
    You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Learn how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
    If you're receiving a specific error message, follow these steps.
    If the issue still persists, contact your Internet service provider and confirm that these ports and servers are enabled over your network.

    If the steps above didn't resolve your issue, be sure that your specific alert isn't listed as a possible iTunes Store error. Then, if your issue is still unresolved, follow these steps.

  • Two user accounts on one computer - syncing one library with separate apps

    I have just taken the plunge and moved over to a Macbook Pro from Windows. I am really impressed with the computer, but need some help with a particular problem.
    My wife has her iPhone and iPad, both of which are synced to one iTunes library on her old computer. I also have my iPod Touch, which had it's own iTunes library on another laptop. We have now replaced these old computers with one Macbook Pro.
    To keep all our stuff separate I have set up two accounts on the Macbook Pro and put a copy of all our music into one public folder, so that we can share the music library between our two accounts. I logged into my account and authorised my iPod Touch, which synced with the library and also backed up my apps to the same library. When I attempted to do the same on my wife's iPad through her account iTunes synced OK, but when I tried to sync her apps it came up with a message indicating that if I tick the sync box it will delete all her apps in favour of the apps already in the library? I presume I will come across the same issue with her iPhone - I am not willing to try until I can get to the bottom of the issue.
    Is there a way of using the same library, but keeping the apps in separate folders? For some reason the iTunes library has separate folders for individual users to sync video, pics, etc, but the folder for the apps is included in the music folder?
    Many thanks in advance for any help!
    Andy

    Hi Elvis Zuo,
    Thank you for the suggestion, which is the only solution I could think of.
    The problem is that this then means we have two separate copies of the iTunes library on our computer. At 25GB per library this will take up lots of hard drive space. I would prefer to try and use the same library between our two accounts/iTunes installs.
    Thanks
    Andy

  • Can we have two iCloud accounts on one computer

    My partner and I share the MacBookPro and mostly use our iPads.  Though we sign in to two different accounts when using the Mac Book all my pictures and bookmarks show up in both accounts.  I am the only one with an iCloud account at this point.  I thought each account on the Mac was separate.

    Setup 2 computer user accounts, then setup iCloud in each user account.

  • Two iPhones and two iTunes accounts on one computer

    My wife and I both have identical iPhones and my wife wants to give her laptop to my son. I thought that I could manage her iPhone from the same computer that I manage my iPhone from but I am having issues. If I logout of iTunes and login with her ID, iTunes does a backup of her phone but iTunes displays my apps, not hers.
    I've searched this forum and cannot find the answer although I am confident that we aren't the first to want to do this.

    Are you both using the same Windows login account or separate accounts? It sounds like you are trying to both use the same Windows login account as well as iTunes Library, which is probably where your problem lies.
    I believe (but I haven't verified) that if you create a new iTunes Library for one of the two of you, you can each manage your own music & apps i your respective libraries. If you use separate Windows signon accounts, you can easily manage using different libraries, but it might be a bit more difficult using just one Windows account. All f this assumes you are using Windows since you don't clearly state, but similar could be applied to MacOS.
