TS1485 itunes is not compatible, windows user. please help
My itunes would not connect with the online store and windows detected a problem. Checked under windows troubleshotter and it was incompatiable.
Updating to 10.7.0.21 using an iTunesSetup.exe or iTunes64Setup.exe shouldn't touch your content. By way of an example, I've updated to 10.7.0.21 on two different computers using the downloaded installer files (using an iTunes64Setup.exe on the 64-bit system and an iTunesSetup.exe on the 32-bit system) and didn't lose anything.
(That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times, in case of disasters of any sort.)

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
With SilverLight, Microsoft attempted to create their own version of what a replacement for Flash could be - but not to universal acclaim. You can read more about it here:

So, if you go to any sites that have been designed for this new Silverlight stuff, you can download the plug-in from here (but make certain that you are downloading SilverLight v.1.0 for OS X (10.4.8 upwards) if you are using a PPC Mac, but even this will not work with Safari 4. Version 2 only works with Intel Macs and does work with Safari 4/5. The solution is to download and install the latest version of Flip4Mac, which now includes a Silverlight component:

In that case only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times, nothing. Can someone please help me? Thasnk you.I have the same problem. I have tried to re-install Quicktime but it won't allow me. When I go to the Control Panel to the Programs to delete it, it shows the icon but it won't uninstall it as it says that it isn't there saying that the resource isn't available. When I download Quicktime from scratch and try to install it again, it says that it can't install as there is a newer version installed (it says 7.3.3 as the one installed and its also the one I'm trying to install). I've followed previous articles in trying to delete every trace of quicktime and itunes (to include the temp files and common files) and still it says that its gone but won't reinstall saying that there's a newer version already installed and it can't proceed. I've totally deleted all traces of all Apple items (per an apple article) and reinstalled everything but the Quicktime is still being a pain and not working. Any help given would be greatly appreciated.

Itunes wont work on windows 7 Please help!!!

I would start by removing iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified of this article.

My iTunes always crashes on windows. Please Help.
I have a toshiba laptop. 2.0 ghz duo core processor. I have windows 7 installed on it. The laptop is slow as it is so I had to make all the settings as basic as possible so it wouldn't crash.
I have an iPhone 3G and i need to upgrade the software. however, everytime i open iTunes and start the upgrade it just closes. At the beggining it used to give me a message but now the programme just shuts down and nothing happen.

I tried all of this and my itunnes still shuts down on its own. The interesting thing is that my iPhone still says "Sync in progress" and in task manager the process "AppleMobileBackup" is still running... -
I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open. First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
