TS1538 HELP! My Iphone 4 is still not syncing with my itunes!!
I use my windows 8 laptop, and I don't know what else to do. Is there anyway I could fix it? I tried EVERYTHING in tech support.
I've tried:
Different cords
Reseting settings
Reinstalling itunes
Restarting computer
Checking AMD & etc.
Apple support help
I'm stuck with this phone, but I need to sync it with my computer. It won't sync... so any advice or suggestions? Please help!

Mom had it originally and used it strictly for work, then I inherited it. iPhone 4 that's about a year old.
Very reliable phone. Never had problems before. Brand new charger.
Haven't tried restoring it yet because of important contacts that I can't lose.

Is your iPhone connected to your computer using the lightning cable or are you doing WiFi sync?
Sometimes the iPhone doesn't show up in the side bar if you're using WiFi syncing, if its not working, then be connected to your WiFi on your phone and on your computer (Same network) let me know how it's going, if it doesn't work still. Turn your phone off and on again and put in your pass code then try to sync it (keep your phone unlocked and not in sleep mode) tel me if it appears in the side bar. -
My iPhone 5 is not syncing with my iTunes 11.3, on OSx. I have just completed all of the most recent updates and have looked into completely uninstalling iTunes but I found my computer won't let me! Any ideas?

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Help! iPhone will no longer sync with my iTunes library
My iPhone thinks my iTunes library is not the one it is used to syncing to anymore for some reason, and whenever I try to sync music or applications, I get: "Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with another iTunes library?" I don't want to erase everything on my phone, since there is a lot of data there.
This seems to have happened because of the following sequence of events:
1) My external hard drive was disconnected
2) iTunes couldn't find my music, even after I reconnected said hard drive
3) I followed this instruction to recreate my iTunes library:

4) This partially worked but it couldn't find all my music
5) I added my Music folder and reimported
Now the applications section is blank (no applications) and I can't seem to sync my music without in threatening to erase everything. Is there some recourse for this without erasing everything?The issue was, for future readers of this post that I had moved my database file as well as the XML file. The database file must contain all the applications as well as the information as to whose iphone it is, so I put that back, and everything seems to be working now as planned. Thought I would put this out there for people with this issue in the future.

My Iphone 5 and Itunes no longer sync after I updated my IOS to 7.1 I have done multiple things to troubleshoot. Uninstalled drivers, reinstalled drivers, uninstalled Itunes, reinstalled Itunes, etc.. It will not show my Iphone in Itunes anymore and will not sync.

FIXED IT!!!..
After a little play around with itunes trying to get it to work... I de-authorised my computer and then re-authorised it and thats done the trick... -

Define "not connecting." What computer OS and iTunes version are you using?
Since you provided no specific information about what you did and what happened when you try to sync, there is no way for anyone to determine what you're doing wrong.

The is a user-to-user tech support forum and Apple isn't here. This is explained in the forum Terms of Use to which you agreed when you joined. No one here has any interest in which products you use. Threats, idle or otherwise, won't help solve your problem. -

This is a bad situation. Your iPhone is in a state which cannot be backed up, and the Restore will return iPhone to factory specs erasing it. You need to Restore your iPhone to get it working again. If you were experiencing problems before, maybe your iPhone is damaged. If still faulty, and you have Warranty or AppleCare take iPhone to Apple for evaluation. If no coverage and still faulty it may be time for new phone.

BrianI have had exactly the same problem before, I have followed the guide as suggested to the letter and still no joy, each time (3 times now) that I have reinstalled the latest version of iTunes it is recognised and syncs with my iphone but with the next reboot of my computer it is gone again.

4 voice memos in iTunes backup from iPhone had ! marks and would not play so I deleted them and although they are still on the iPhone, they will not sync back to iTunes from iPhone.
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.
