TS1538 I have gone through all troubleshooting steps and can't find a solution. My iPhone is no longer showing up in iTunes. Can anyone help?

I have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps and still do not see my iPhone 4 (6.1.3) when I connect with USB to iTunes. Can anyone help?

I'd try removing and then re-installing iTunes.  An uninstall will not remove your music etc.  That should re-install the usb drivers etc. I don't think you can separately delete and install the drivers.

    What version of Adobe Reader have you installed on your Mac?
    Please try installing on a different Admin user account and check if that makes a difference.

    I have gone through all the troubleshooting guides, ensured its 64 bit version I have downloaded, the PC is recognising the phone but Itunes will not

    I will assum that you are using the latest version of iTunes 11. Do you even see the devices heading in the sidebar or do you even see the sidebar? If not, go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu so that it is visible.
    If you have done all of that and the iPad still doesn't show up.....

    Not knowing if you are using WiFi or cable syncing, you can simply try, quitting iTunes, reboot the Mac and restart the iPad and see if that helps.

    I have NEVER had so much trouble with getting support in my life.
    I have a 6th gen Nano.  Windows control panel recognizes it and the Nano indicates that it is connected.  I have gone through evey troubleshooting site imaginable.  I can NOT get the Nano to show up in I-tunes. I have run the repair installation on I-tunes.  I have no idea what to try next.  It worked fine a couple of weeks ago although I hate the new I-tunes format.

    Yes, of course.  iTunes was around before there was an iTunes Store.  And I think Apple cares MORE that you purchased an iPod, and LESS about where you get your music to play on the iPod.
    You can buy music the "old school" way, on CD, and "rip" them into your iTunes library using iTunes.
    You can download/buy music from other sources, as longs as the format is MP3 or AAC, and don't use copy protection (DRM).  NOTE:  iTunes Store music downloads do not use any DRM. 
    One example is Amazon.com.

    They offer a utility called Amazon MP3 Downloader, which automatically places your downloads into your iTunes library.
    If the source just provides you with the downloaded song files, all you need to do is open a window showing the files or the folder containing the files.  Run iTunes and select Music in the sidebar, under LIBRARY.  Then drag the songs files or the folder containing the files from its window to the iTunes window, and drop them there.  iTunes will add the songs to your iTunes library.
    Once the songs are in your iTunes library, you can automatically sync or manually load them onto your shuffle.

  • Continue to receive error 1604 and can't use the recover function - help!  I have gone through all the steps listed in support and nothing has worked.  I am using a usb port I tested with my printer cable and it's fine.

    I wanted to update my software this morning and it has turned into a nightmare.  I continue to receive the error 1604, which is related to a usb port.  I followed all the steps listed in support and nothing has helped.  I just plugged in my printer cable to the usb port and it works fine, yet I continue to receive this error and can't use my phone!

    A printer does not require power, and does not transfer large amounts of data. So that is not a valid test. It's like saying "if I plug a nightlight into an outlet it works fine, so why do 2 hair dryers on at the same time trip a circuit breaker?"
    Are you using a port directly on the computer, and not a hub? If it's not a laptop and it has ports on front and back are you using a back port, which can supply more power?
    Have you EVER used this computer to hack or jailbreak ANY iPhone (not necessarily the one with the problem? Or used a program to downgrade the version of iOS on any phone?

    i changed my ipod lock screen password and the locked my device (ipod touch 4th generation) and i tried to get back into my ipod to check a message and i had my password wrong i tried as many variations as i could think and it wouldnt accpet any of them. i contacted apple support and went through what i though was the recovery process to recover my ipod and set it back to factory mode and get back to everything and itunes said i was downloading something that i assumed was recovery mode. so now i turned my ipod back on and it still has the password on it and has not reset anything i do not know what i did wrong please help me.

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
    You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store        
    If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

    Thanks for the reply. The Itunes trouble shooting in Itunes help. I don't get an error message, it just states can't see ipod like if it wasn't plugged in. I do get an error message on a few of the songs when sync that say error 50, and state that they can't be loaded to ipod. The weird thing is that I can load all of my libary except the latest 3 albums. They are in my libary but they won't load. I'm not sure but it seems like it started when the cloud came about from amazon which is where I buy most of my music.
