TS1538 I have tried everything on this site to get iTunes to recognize my iPod

Yes I've tried all of the steps on Apple's site. I've removed drivers, updated drivers, reinstalled itunes, restarted services, reset my ipod... everything..  My laptop sees it as a mobile device (Apple iPod). And I can view pictures taken with it. I've also tried it on another computer and it does work. My laptop is about a year old so that should not be the problem.  Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated...

Hey Don, did you try to shut down the MBP (if necessary by forcing it to, done by keeping the power button pressed for more than 5 seconds) and then restarting while keeping the Command-button pressed to bring up the available boot disks, then select the install CD?
Maybe it lost power during installation and thus the HDD is shot. Did you back up before doing the new install? Do you have a second Mac you can connect the MBP via Firewire to, which means you could try target disc mode (press T and keep it pressed during startup)?

  • My MacBook is hung up on "safe boot mood" and shuts off. I have tried everything on this site to fix and no go. Will not boot from external start up disc either. Any help, please.

I also just installed 10.6.3 Leopard.

What steps do I take next. I have tried everything is this article.

    Interesting ...
Your posting title mentions iPhone, but you seem to be talking about iPad.
Also, the article you attached references Macs ...
Anyway, here's a guide to setting up email for iPad:

Iphoto will not open my iPhoto library......have tried everything.  This has only happened in the last week.
I have tried everthing suggested on the forum.

    Did you follow these directions?
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 -  select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox  "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
5 - in the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2:  Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Again without stating the trouble shooting steps you have taken, its hard to direct you with any information.
Try a different port on the computer.
Does the iphone beep when u plug it up. ?
Plug iphone into computer and give it 3 to 4 minutes to see if it connects and is running slow.,
Delete the apple mobile device from your computer.
    Upgrade itunes to newest version.
Is you USB cord defective ?
Any USB 3.0 on your system ? .
Delete or Disable  any antivirus program on your computer ?
I will tell u the problem is your computer not the phone.
We could do this for hours.

  • Messages on my ipage will not send. I have tried everything suggested and still I get a not delivered message

Since I have upgraded to iOS 7 messages on my ipad will not send. I get a red message saying not delivered I have tried everything suggested so far, still nothing.

I'm having the same problem with my Wife's old iPhone 3G.  It's battery went completely dead and now all it does when I hit the power button is shows the screen that shows the animated charger/battery saying to plug it into a charger and then it shuts off.  The thing is, it's plugged into a charger, I've tried several, I've tried getting into DFU mode to restore 4.2.1 and see if that would help but I can't get into DFU mode because the iPhone shuts off before it gets a chance to load I suppose.
If I find a solution that works to get the iPhone out of this quirk/bug mode it's in right now from the battery dying, I will post it here so you can fix your iPhone as well.
Best of luck with finding your solution to fix this!  We're both probably going to need it because so far I've searched for the answer for the past hour and still can't get it to even start charging.

  • I have tried everything. How do I get the security questions reset ?

How do I reset my security questions? Nothing works and I have read and tried everything.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

Who is the email provider? And when you say "duplicate emails," you're seeing two copies of each email on each device, in the inbox?

  • TRIED EVERYTHING!! Can't get Itunes to open

Can I delete everything on my computer relating to Itunes and just download ver. 6 again and install it? I've searched through these discussions extensively and I think I've tried everything to get Itunes to work. With no luck...
    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Wll, I tried deleting everything relating to Itunes (I made copies of the library and .xml files) and then re-installed it. Still nothing. What could it be? I've seriously tried everything now! I've repaired the disk, repaired permissions, run the batchmod program, deleted preferences, duplicated the library file, reinstalled the program, installed the latest Quicktime and Ipod software, installed combo upgrade for 10.3.9 - am I leaving anything out? I think I've reached my wit's end!
I have a tower so, I don't know if i can bring it down to the Apple Store...
Is there anything else I can try?
