TS1538 Ipod Update to iOs 5.1.1
i jsut upadated my ipod to ios 5.1.1
when i try and click on something or move the pages it shows squares around the word or shape and i have to click 3 times on it and sometimes it doesnt even respond when I do that. and it freezes and i am froced to shut down complety...
DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM ??
AND NO WHAT TO DO OR HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ?

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why won't my ipod update to ios 7
My ipod will not update from iOS 6.1.3 to 7.
I have gone to update software in the "general" tab. and it states that it is update, however it shows it as 6.1.3.Because, as has been said here many, many times now (not meaning to seem snippy), the fourth-generation iPod touch cannot run iOS 7.

Why won't my iPod update to IOS 8?
Ever since ios 8 came out I've been trying to download it. I tried to download it on my iPod 3 times but it said there was an error. So, i tried iTunes. It didnt work. So i went to an apple support page that told me what to do. After following all those steps it still wouldn't update. It either says "download requested" for ever or it lets me start to download it and after estimating 500 hours left to download it said "update failed". There was only one time were the error said an error code, It was 9006. That means it was a security program blocking the download or causing the error. But i don't have a security program!! ( Only a virus scanner) I've contacted apple support through the phone and they couldn't help. Any one have any ideas? Thanks.

i updated my ipod touch to iOS 6 and it downloaded. hen i went on itunes to restore it but then it frooze and now it will not come off if the apple sign.
I presume you mean to say that the iPad is not being recognised in iTunes! If so,
Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, make sure your lead /connections are not faulty.
Fourthly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.

And failing all that put the device into Recovery mode. See here and note the paragraph 'If you restore from a different computer.... ' down near the bottom of the page -

iPod 4,1 will not update to iOS 7. I updated my iMac to 10.9.1 (maverick). Latest Numbers version on iMac is not compatible with Numbers on iPod. Ideas? Can I go back a version with Numbers? I downloaded old version of Numbers 2.0.1 from DVD but with both versions the 2.0.1 will not open. So both versions are present but only the new version functions. I tried to drag the new version to the trash but the old version still runs error message and will not open. I did not try to restart with the new version in the trash.

Ok so I updated to iOS 7 on my iPod (5th) it let me update my apps but I cannot download new apps thanks to the terms and conditions. Also my iTunes won't start it just blank, I tried everything I need help
Did you download the new iTunes update that was also released this afternoon? That might be the problem. The new iTunes update came out today as well as the new iOS 7 update and if you haven't downloaded the new iTunes update it may be a compatibility problem so if you didn't, first update to the new iTunes and try again.

Hi, I bought an Ipod touch in Dubai. When I upated to iOs 6, everytime I would download an app it will says that it's not available in the emirates store and I should change to the US store. But before i updated to iOs 6 i have been successfuly downloading apps. Please help because now I cannot really use it.

Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I was just have difficults in different things on my ipod touch 4th gene now that I have ITune Match and it not being able to update the iOS 6.1.5 and as to not sure of what I can do to get it to update and get all my songs back. Because right now I have at least 20 or 30 songs that I cant play now and I'm not sure why. ITunes and App store keep crashing on my ipod touch 4g after updating to ios 6 from ios 5.1.1
Can some one please help me? So i have an iPod Touch 4G 8GB! it was working 100% on ios 5.1.1, then i updated to ios 6 and the app store and itunes keep crashing on my ipod. Even some apps like instagram keep crashing and the ipod is very slow. i know it has the A4 processor and now its a bit slow but i dont know what to do????? i have restored my ipod and then ugraded it to ios 6 agian, i have restared it, closed all the apps in multiasking and other thngs that people have sugested but it still didnt fix things !!!!!!!! i have done some reserch and other ipod touch users are having te same problem. if any one has an idears or knows how to get back to ios 5.1.1 again with out shsh blobs ( as i have not jailbroke my ipod) PLEASE HELP ME????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an iPod 4s and I am trying to update to IOS 6.1.6. I keep trying to download but it will not allow me to click download and install. I have checked my storage and I have more than enough storage space available. Do you guys have any suggestions?
The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.
