I have the same problem. After the upgrade, my wifi is greyed out, and the battery won't hold a charge long. I reset all the settings, tried all the things suggested by Apple, but it didn't work. I took the phone to Verizon, but they said they can't fix it, go to Apple
I made an appointment at the Genius bar, where the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. A representative told me that the wi-fi is broken and I would need to buy a new phone for $200, because mine is out of warranty. I'm due for an upgrade in a few months, so I'm not going to pay $200 for another 4S now. I'm also not going to buy any more Apple products. Their upgrade caused this problem, and they are not standing behind their producet.

Does anyone know when Verizon will offer 5.0 for the 8330?
I'd really like to get away from 4.5. I have 4.7 on my company BB (T-Mobile 8900) and like it much better, but from reading about 5.0 I think I will like it even better yet. Unfortunately 4.5 is the only OS listed on Verizon's page for the 8330. Does anyone know when they will release 5.0? From everything I've read they are going to, but I'd like to know if I should expect a 6 week wait or a 2 year wait...

At the top, one of the stickies is a thread that Xandrex keeps updated with current versions of device OS's from each carrier (that he has information on, of course). I haven't waded through that thread (it's pretty long), but he might have a table for your model, which would guide you to where various carriers stand with release levels.
If you find that a carrier has sanctioned a device OS you want, you can usually get it from them via their DL site via this portal:

Then you can use these instructions to use it (don't mind that the instructions are for the Storm -- the process is the same I think):

Looks like it's only available in the US at the moment.When Apple tells us. They are pretty secretive about new developments until they are ready to announce them and we're just other users like you. If you want rumors, speculation and guessing you'll have to browse the web because we're not allowed to do any of that here.

Does anyone know when iOS5 will be available for the iPhone? It seems to have an efficient method for deleting emails in bulk.
I assume you mean iOS 6. The only official statement has been that it is coming "later this fall". In the meantime, if you want to mass delete email you can always go to the webmail site for your email account and delete them there.

Only Apple knows the answer to whether or not there is a verified problem and if so when will a fix be released. As is their custom, Apple does not talk about these things and the rules of these communities prohibit speculation about future udates or upgrades. It is probably safe to say if a fix is deemed necessary it will be called OS X 10.8.6.

It's currently taking me ages to send multiple emails as I'm having to copy and paste the email each time. Does anyone know if there is a way that I can send the same email several times but that can be addressed (Dear....) to different people?

The query i have is that ,, i have an iphone which i purchased from dubai . facetime was blocked on it when i purchased it . however now i use the phone in india and i want to use facetime on it .
i wanted to know if there is any way i can activate facetime on it .
i am having the same problem with the 4s i purchased from riyadh .You can't. FaceTime has been permanently removed from your phone, there is no way to add it back. Next time, buy your phone in India.

There are a large group of people who STILL haven't got CS6 - even though we pre-ordered and prepaid for it. I'm referring to all the people who upgraded to CS5.5 to get CS6 when it came out.
At the time of ordering Adobe said that by purchasing CS5.5 we would get CS6 'when it became available'. That was a few weeks ago now. When nothing happened we went searching and found in the FAQs that we would be able to download it 'approximately 10 days after it was released'. No reason was given for having to wait. Adobe had our money so there was no reason to not let us download it.
Now, 14 days later, and there's still nothing from Adobe. So does anyone know what is going on at Adobe.
Adobe do not seem to understand the whole concept of pre-paying or pre-ordering something. People pre-pay/pre-order so that they can get something as soon as it is available. It should put you at the front of the line when something is released - but Adobe managed to completely screw that up by taking our money up front and then putting us right to the back of the line!
And in case anyone is wondering - no, none of us wanted CS5.5. It was just a way, offered by Adobe, of upgrading to CS6.I found this: on a similar thread, and hope that it helps.

Does anyone know when Aperture will be able to provide RAW support for the Nikon 1 J3 ?
I have just bought Aperture to support my new camera, a Nikon 1 J3. I then discovered that this is not one of the Nikon camereas yet supported by Aperture for RAW format pictures.
Does anyone know when this may be addressed in a later version of Aperture?

I will be visiting my local Apple Store today to see if they know when my camera will be fully supported.
I got it through Cutio in Germany and the instructions were in German which I learnt at school - which is great for travel and holidays but not for reading technical manuals!

And it states there that Its either DirectX or graphics driver. I dl-ed the direct x and it still cant work
so its probably the graphic driver. i checked it and its running on a Standard Vga Graphics Adapter..

Anyone know when Mac will have the fix for the slow internet due the 10.8.2. upgrade?
I just uped to 10.8.2 on a Mac pro, and know the internet throughput has dropped from a Ping of 87, download 24.24 Mbps , upload 3.82 Mbps to a ping of 248, download .37 and up of .17. I have plugged two other Macs (one at a time) into the same network cable as above and got the per 10.8.2 upgrade speeds. Seems that one must conclude that the slow internet issue must be due to the 10.8.2 upgrade. When will Mac have the fix for this?
