TS1559 No Wifi or Bluetooth available on my iPod touch. Any suggestions on how to fix would be great?

Have tried resetting network, its not in aeroplane mode, have updated software to iOS 4.2.1 and have deleted and reset all functions, wifi and Bluetooth still greyed out. Any suggestions without costing me more $$$ will be greatly appreciated!

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem.
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.
