TS1574 I cannot get my sound to work! I have tried everything. Help?! :(
I cannot get my sound to work. I have checked the system prefemces and nothing shows up, and nothing is editible. I have rebooted and restarted it one million times, in safe mode too. When ever I try to adjust the volume a crossed out cirlce appears. I have no idea what people say about a red light, but I've checked and I cannot see one. I don't know what to do. Help? Thanks so much in advance.

I have just downloaded firefox 3.6.11 and adobe flashplayer update and adobe reader update. Now I cannot get firefox to open. I have tried removing Firefox but when I try to do that it says that I need to close firefox - but of course it is not open. Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

Not sure if this will work, but you could try the app My Contacts Backup. This will back up your contacts as an email attachement. Send the email to yourself. Then turn off contacts syncing (to erase the contacts from your phone), open the email and tap the attachment to re-import the contacts to your phone. You will still have to go through them and remove the duplicates but at least they should not be duplicated again. (There is an app called
Remove Duplicate Contacts and Events that claims to be able to find and remove duplicates but you'll have to read the reviews in the app store to decide if you want to try it.) -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Since downloading Firefox when I go on the Internet Internet Explorer pops up with a message - IE cannot open the webpage - Favorit. I have tried everything but cannot stop this happening. Any suggestions? Thanks. I am running Vista.

Just got a new iphone 4 and when i got it it was always hard to get on the wifi but the other day the option to even get wifi went grey and now it wont let me have the option to get on the internet. i have tried eveything i could to get it to work again but it just wont work. hopefully someone can help me out so i can get my internet back on my phone again because i use it alot .

Hey all, iPhone 4s has gone mental!
I have read through many posts on sound not working and i have tried everything, previous back ups, complete restore, clean out the headphone port, hard restore, also the volume buttons on the side when pressed will show ringer but no volume adjustment bar pops up =/ and the change volume with buttons is 'on'
unless my headphones are plugged in nothing works, except my ringtone.
any other suggestions to fix this would be massively appreciated =]

I have reciently wanted to use my headphones but I cannot get them to work. The computer does not recognise them ant the icon at the bottom showes that they are not turned on. Certain Keys are not working. Have tried everything!
Hi, I was hoping I could get some help with this issue that I've had for a long time now. My "x", "s", "w" and "2" keys have not worked for the longest time now. I have an HP Probook 4510s.
Things I've tried:
- I've tried reinstalling the drivers multiple times.
- Have tried the power off and holding the power button trick multiple times.
- Have replaced the keyboard and the same exact keys do not function on any keyboard.
- Have cleaned the keys as well as the inside of the computer multiple times.
- Have reinstalled windows twice.
Nothing works! I have to keep using the on-screen keyboard to use these keys but it's an inconvenience especially when I'm trying to type up reports and other homework. Can anyone shine some light on this please? Thank you in advance.Hi,
Sounds like a hardware problem because those keys are on the same line. My suggestion: bring it to an authorized repairer to have a check.

When normally powering the phone, there would not be a loading bar, you would just see the Apple logo. You can try a reset of the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.
You can take the phone to Apple, by making an appointment at the Genius Bar to have the hardware checked. Apple handles warranty and post-warranty issues, not Verizon. Have Apple look at the hardware to see if there are any problems.
