TS1646 Itunes account hacked

My itunes account was hacked and i have almost $100.00 in purchased I didn't do.  What can I do? WHo do I contact?

If these charges are being made to a credit or debit card, the most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.
Regards.

  • Itunes account hacked... Don´t know what to do.

Hello. Can anyone help me. It seems someone hacked my Itunes account. I just received a bill for 79,95 Euro from clic and buy. I even have no Iphone since 1 year and did not use ITunes anymore. I looked for a Phone number to tell them to block everything, but I did not find it. When I try to enter support form, they want my serial number, but I selled my IPhone one year ago. Please help, what can I do? I am from Germany.... Thank you all....

You can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If the purchases were made on an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch then to try and stop it happening again you might (depending upon the iOS version on it) have a Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password setting which you can set to Immediately (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering). You can also turn off in-app purchases via the Restrictions screen

  • ITunes account hacked

It seems that my iTunes account was hacked, as the same application is getting downloaded by my account.
I'm allready charged for over €1000,- becouse of this hack.
I made several support requests, but no Apple employees are contacting me.
Allso I tried to block my click&buy account, as that is the "service" that Apple uses to charge my bank account.
They allso do not respond to my emails & when you phone the company, they let you hear a tabe that all lines are buisy, and after 5 minutes they disconnect the call (at €0,20/min).
Ho the **** do I block my iTunes account fast?

    Pamela,
I did do so, and had my click&buy account blocked.
Click&buy noted to me that they had payed the ammounts to Apple, and I needed to get them a refund.
According to them, this is a case between Apple and me, and they had nothing to do with that.
Problem is, Apple is not responding to mails.
Also every support case I raise, they close with a link to account securety tips.
    Frustrating.

  • ITunes account hacked.  Charges made to my account

My iTunes account was hacked & someone downloaded about $100 of music, of which about $50 was charged to my credit card. I put a fraud freeze to my credit card and iTunes says I owe them money. How can I get all this taken off of my iTunes acount?

Same thing happened to me last week. 1st I couldn't access the itunes store as it wouldn't take my log-in info. Then I noticed that somehow my account reverted back to my old info with my old email (@twcny.rr.com) so I used my ols log-info & password & sure enough all of the info from a year ago was on my account. I changed it back to reflect my current email address. Then my bank notifies me of several charges on my credit card for iTunes purchases. Funny thing was the charges were on a card that is NOT currently registered on my itunes account...but the card may have been registered to my account over a year ago before I changed cards. I can download NEW apps but when I attempt to download any of the free upgrades to my existing apps I receive a message saying I cannot access the iTunes store. Apple finally admitted to me that my account has been compromised but tells me I have 2 accounts & one of them (with an email address of [email protected]) is registered in China. They tell me all of my apps have been purchased on that account, which is completly untrue. You see, I only have one iTunes account. Someone obviously was able to hack my account & set up another one. I just don't undetstand how all of my apps could show as being purchased on the other account. Honestly, I think Apple is avoiding the issue. I haven't had any problems w/the iTunes store until last week...and I've been purchasing apps since August 2008! Let me know how things work out & I'll do the same. Good luck!

  • ITunes Account Hack Warning

My iTunes account was hacked on Friday, I didn't find out until Sunday night though because that was when I tried to log in to my account after it had happened.
Watch out for these signs (Apple support didn't even consider that I had been hacked when I contacted them):
The hackers changed my account ID and my e-mail address to something similar to what they had been before but different. This allowed them to charge two $50 iTunes gift certificates to my card without me being notified (because they had changed the e-mail address on the account).
When I tried to log into my account on iTunes, I got weird errors about my account id or password being incorrect. When I tried to recover my password on Apple.com, I got an error saying that my account ID was not in the system. When I tried to get my account ID, they couldn't find it (since the hackers changed my e-mail address). Of course, I could not log into the support site to try to report the issue since it requires my Apple ID. Luckily I found the iTunes store form that let me contact support via the web without logging in and they were able to tell me that I had changed my account ID and e-mail address. I was able to log into the new ID that the hackers made with my old password, which was really lucky since Apple support was clueless about what had happened.
Why didn't Apple notify my previous e-mail address when the change was made? That is a basic security process that many other sites use. There is a pretty clear pattern of fraud here as well, account information is changed and then large purchases are immediately made. Shouldn't Apple be looking for this kind of thing?
I have contacted support to find out if they have a process for dealing with fraud, but I can't help but feel that Apple's security is somewhat to blame here. I'll let you know what Apple suggests I do.

  • Itunes Account Hack

Hi there, I recieved an email this morning that a few changes had been made to my account and if it wasn't me, I should change my password ... which I did.
I then went to check my account and my credit card & location details had been changed, whilst around 5 apps had been downloaded.
So I went to change the location of my store back to the UK and it says "You have an open purchase that could not be closed; please click billing info and update your payment information" ... obviously the dick heads purchased something. Anywho, is there an email I can use to sort this out?! I tried looking and nothing! Currently I can't change my payment information as it's locked to the US as I obviously haven't got an address there.
They've bought about $350 worth of apps
    Please help!
    Thanks, Matt

Then your iTunes account has been hacked. I would suggest you, to contact Apple-Customer-Care via email and see, if they pay you your money back....

  • My iTunes account hacked, address and card details changed

I just recieved 2 emails informing me of 2 gift purchases of £5,000 yen. My iTunes is now in Japanese and my address and card details have been changed.
I have contacted iTunes support about this but god knows when I will get a reply.
I now dont trust iTunes enough to go in and change the account details.
Any clues as to how this has happened?

I just got a call from someone at the Apple Help Desk, and I gave him more information plus emailed him copies of the gift certificates which you can view in your purchase history. I printed them as PDFs and emailed them to him, you may also be able to take a screenshot. They seem to be serious about correcting this problem.
If you haven't already, I'd suggest you delete your credit card info from iTunes until we can determine how our accounts were compromised. I changed my password for the iTunes store. Apparently, changing the password for the store also changes the password for my .mac (mobileme) account so your email account will require you to input the new password.
I read somewhere that an account can get compromised from downloading music files from torrents. If the song file has some malicious code it can be executed when played in iTunes. Or possibly while downloading a torrent, a port is open on your computer that can leave you exposed. I don't if this is what has happened to me, but I can't rule it out either. I'm hoping that the attack was on Apple's side and that my computer wasn't compromised, but I'm trying to check my computer for any malware.
I've always assumed that since I use a Mac, my chance of getting affected by an outside attack is less, but I guess the danger is still there. So far, it appears that only my iTunes account has been affected, and nothing else.
Have you downloaded any files that might have compromised your computer?

  • ITunes Account Hacked; Won't Let Me Fix It

Okay, so I was downloading a free app on my iphone when it tells me my password is invalid. I change it, and then all the sudden (this is on my iphone) a message pops up in Chinese characters.
I get home, get on iTunes and see some noticeable changes on the main "Account Info" page:
    Apple ID: My ID
Payment Info: NOT MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER
    Billing Address: My address.
Country/Region: China (I'm from United States)
Computer Authorisation: One computer, which is mine and only I touch it.
Then under purchase history, it says I purchased something on October 21st. I figure it's just the free app, but when I click see all:
There are $36.89 worth of purchases, but underneath the total is in red: "We were unable to authorize your payment card for this purchase. Please update your billing info."
I'm guessing whoever hacked my account was in the process of purchasing things when I changed my password. I'm now trying to get everything back to normal, but when I try to change my country back to United States I hit the "change" button and the bar at the top of iTunes fills up as if it's making the change. When it fills, it just stays on the page and doesn't make the change. Basically, I can't change it back to United States, it just won't let me.
Then, if I change my billing info back, it's gonna charge me the $36.89
So... what am I supposed to do?

You need to contact Apple Support. They should assist you in resolving this issue.
My account was hacked last year. Apple Support helped me resolve the problem before someone made a purchase.
For about 6 months afterwards, we only used iTunes Gift Cards to fund our account...we didn't put any payment information on file.

  • TS1702 Hi. I recently had my iTunes account hacked and £1500 worth was stolen. Since then I have changed my password several times and put a completely new ID in. Apple have disabled my account which means I cannot upgrade all my existing apps. Help !

    Hi
I had my iTunes hacked recently. My account has been disabled. Changing passwords and ID I cannot upgrade all my existing apps purchased on my own pad! Help please.

Did you create a completely new account or update the existing one ? If you created a new account then any
content bought/downloaded via the old one will remain tied to that old account, and it can't be copied or transferred to a new account, so you will need to get your old account re-enabled in order to download updates to its apps.
You might be able to get it re-enabled it via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
If you've changed the password on the old account but the iPad isn't recognising it, then try logging out of your account on it by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' it on the iPad.

  • ITunes account hacked today

I already contacted Apple after I received an email from them this a.m. telling me that iTunes purchases were made to a device not previously authorized and that my billing address and credit card info had been changed.
Someone cleaned out the balance of my account with Apps, Spanish albums and a few Pop songs that I had previously purchased in June.  Has anyone had any luck in getting a credit back when this happens?  Also, I had used a gift card in iTunes versus charging directly to credit card, yet iTunes wants me to have a credit card on file, I guess to cover the balance when the gift card ran out.
Is there a way to NOT have to put in your credit card?
    Thanks, Sandy

IMO I tried to do the same, but iTunes forced me to have a credit card so I did...good luck as it is impossible to create/buy iTunes stuff without one

  • $119.98 has been STOLEN from my Itunes account.  Itunes account hacked?

Someone made 2 unauthorized purchases from my account early this morning from an app called "Original Gangstaz, 2000 Street Cred, Seller: Addmired, Inc". I found out about it earlier today when i tried to purchase an app and it said there was not enough money in my account. I reported it earlier today BUT I just received the receipt for this purchase a few minutes ago. NOW when I tried to report it again, I cant find a place to even send an email. Anyone else have this problem?

  • How safe is my iTunes account and how can I prevent it getting hacked?

I just finished reading an article and was wondering how to prevent my account from being hacked ect.
    http://www.3news.co.nz/iTunes-accounts-hacked-money-stolen---reports/tabid/412/a rticleID/214432/Default.aspx#top

Your account is very safe and it is very unlikly that it will get hacked because every time you change your password it requires you to re enter your security code on your credit card. Also, every time you close out itunes and then buy something, it asks for a password. I have been on itunes for about 7 years with 7 different accounts within my family and not one of them has ever been hacked. If you are still worried then I would agree with the comment above.

  • TS1646 I need to delete either my Itunes account or delete the credit card information because my account has been hacked.

I need to delete either my Itunes account or delete the credit card information because my account has been hacked.

You can't delete an account, and all of the account's downloads will remain tied to the account.
On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account  - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.
    Changing payment info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
If you haven't already done so then you may want to contact iTunes Support to let them know : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

I work in it, am very careful, and this is the first time since 1985 when i starter using i.t. That i've been hacked. Thank you apple. It seems like a very common problem with apple.
What's the email address i should use to get my money back and report it ? As usual the apple phone lines don' t answer, an they make life as difficult as possible for anyone to gt redress.

It's most likely not you, no matter what they say. I have noticed a LOT of fraud with itunes, even with my own account. One time I caught them doing a database restore. I know this because my password automagically reverted back to an old one! I'm an IT guy who helped design DOD classified networks in the mid-pacific. I know security. The best protection for this is to NOT have a credit card listed in iTunes. Use iTunes cards ONLY. It's a pain, but until they step up, it's all you got.

  • How can i delete my itunes account as i think im being hacked, almost every day itunes are taking accessive amounts of money from my account!

Dear Apple support, how can i delete my itunes account as i think im being hacked!! over the past few months a lot of money seems to be taken from my account ranging from as little as £1 to £60... i cant take any more. Can i delete the account? Can u help me plase as i dont know what to do! Regards Teresa

Go into your iTunes account and eliminate the payment method to none.  Then change the password.  FInally notify iTunes support of your problem.  You will find ways to contact iTunes support on this website.  Email works very well with iTunes support.
You do not want to delete your account and there is no need to do that to prevent further hacking.  The reason is that any purchases of music, Apps, movies or whatever made with your iTunes account will be associated to that account and you can redownload them if you change iPhones, get an iPad or to your computer.  If you were able to delete the account, which you cannot do, you would have to repurchase everything.
