  • HT3702 There are charges on my debit card that were not approved, which over drafted my account. How can I get my money back?

I have charges on my bank account from the iTunes Store for Purchases that were unauthorized. The only authorized purchased that was made on iTunes was a Disney Mickey Mouse app. These charges caused my account to overdraft. How can I get these charges off of my account and get my money back?

You've checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases
If you don't recognise the charges (and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made them), or you can't find them, then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT1933 There some charges on my credit card of stuff that I did not bought.

There some charges on my credit card that I did not bought.

The most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.
    Regards.

  • Why are any purchases I make, being billed to a credit card that is not the credit card I have listed and given the details of, in my billing information section?

All my purchases on itune are billed to a credit card that is not the credit card that is detailed on my billing profile? How is this possible? I have checked and reinserted my credit card details several times in my billing section and still charges are taken off a different credit card, that's not listed on my billings details????How do I stop this? How do I get hold of an e mail address for billings so I can ask them what the heck is going on?
Please help, I am going mad trying to understand this

It is a bad situation. Your credit card expired but you cannot change it because FormsCentral is retiring.
Please consider moving your forms to JotForm right away. It takes a few minutes to do it using JotForm new Import Wizard:

I know it's important to understand your charges cvette52. Have you been able to review your statements to match up this charge? Do you have postpaid or prepay service with us? Wireless or landline?

  • HT3702 There are charges to my credit card from itunes that are not showing in my purchase history. How do i find out what they are?

Having trouble identifying charges to my credit card bill. The charges can not be found in my purchase history.

You haven't got any auto-renewing subscriptions (I'm not sure if they show on the purchase history or not, I don't have any so I can't check) - there are instructions on this page for managing and stopping them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098
And have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.
    Store holding charge : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3702
If you still can't find them, and your card isn't or hasn't been linked to any other accounts, then you may want to contact your card issue. • Is there any charges on my credit card while creating Apple ID/iTunes account?

I bought a new iPad2 and set it up from my office PC by creating a new Apple ID using iTunes.
I provided my credit card information, infact I didnt know the account could be setup without credit card.
The account got created and $1.00 was charged on my credit card.
When I connected through wifi at home, it gave a message "You were connected using a different machine" and asked for the credit card verification code.
After providing it, it went through, but I noticed another $1.00 was charged on my credit card.
While it says nothing will be charged until I purchase something, why these charges?
If it is for verifications, why twice?
And will it be credited back to my credit card? And when?
    Thnx

There are part of the verification check i.e. is the card valid and active and can accept charges. They should disappear of your card within a day or two. Don't know why it was done twice, unless it was just because it was two different machines

  • I received charges on my credit card that I did not make.  Amounts and days that I did not purchase anything from ITunes., I received charges on my credit card that I did not make.  Amounts and days that I did not purchase anything from ITunes.

I have received charges on my credit card from ITunes for amounts that I have not made.  There are 6 different purches on 3 different days.  One day the two amounts were 20.95 and 20.96.  The previous day the amounts were both 109.99.  The day before that they were 139.99 and 99.99.  I have tried to contact ITunes, but no answer.  The statement on my credit card says APL*APPLE ITUNES STOR 866-712-7753 CA.  I did not make any of these purchases, did not receive an e-mail about what was even bought on these days.  Anyone else have this trouble and resolve it?  Looks like I will be going to the bank today to cancel my card!  Very disappointed in ITunes lack of security.

I have had the same problem with a credit card that I have never used at Apple. The amount was $21.23 and was described "MC Authorization 00112507 APL*APPLEITUNES STORE 2010-04-07 12.31.59"  Apple's email help desk couldn't help me because the card isn't one of my stored cards.  I was told to contact my bank.
It seems to me that somewhere in AppleLand there is a record of the charge which is still pending.  I don't want to go through the hassle of changing cards.

  • My credit card that is NOT on file with itunes got charged 316 dollars

Believe me visa was the first person I contacted. the card is cancelled.
I still need to verify if the fraudulant purchaces are fake, or made through a legitimate itunes account. iTunes can also cancel any keys associated with the purchases if it was software purchases, no?
    Adam.
I don't think you need to do anything.  What I mean is, you can and sounds like you have checked your own AppleID/account history and nothing untoward shows up there.  So, if the fradulent charges were simply a result of your credit card number being compromised and had nothing to do with iTunes or Apple, then your credit card company will be in touch shortly with an investigation summary.  Really, all you need do for that is  write down that the card was in your possession at the time, that it has never been associated with your iTunes account, and that your iTunes account checks out with your known purchase history.  End of your involvment.
When someone charged an airline ticket to my card a few years ago, I did nothing but let the credit Bank run their investigation, wrote out my little statement (similar to what I mentioned above) on the report when I got it, sent it back in, end of story.
I just think from what you've posted, you've done your bit by calling Visa.  As long as you are sure your iTunes account is not itself compromised, you need not do anything further yourself.
And from what you say, I don't think this has anything to do with iTunes - your credit card was compromised somehow (like the several million or so compromised just this past few weeks).  It may have been used to purchase stuff from iTunes, but that was use of the stolen credit card info, not a hack of an Apple iTunes account.  People buy weird stuff with stolen card numbers - I've known people who suddenly have seen gas purchases for a few tens of dollars on their cards, but made in States many removed from the one they live in.
