The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

Qosmio F10: Monitor screen looks like an Andy Warhol picture

I am currently having problems with my monitor screen looking like an Andy Warhol picture. I have resorted to going through the Product Recovery DVD-ROM for my Qosmio F10/G10 Laptop in the hope that reverting it back to the factory settings would solve the problem but it hasn't.
The screen breaks down after the Windows welcome screen, leaving me with my desktop all Andy Warhol like (i.e. blocks of pixilated colour at the edges of the graphics). I have tried to reset the resolution which solves the problem to an almost acceptable level but on a temporary basis, because the problem re-appears again when I re-boot the laptop.
I think that it is something to do with the Windows Multimedia Operating system that was preinstalled on my computer (so no recovery disc). The reasoning behind this assumption is that I put a DVD film into the Multimedia that is part of Windows XP and the film is a moving Andy Warhol video.
I put the same DVD into the WinDVD that came as a Toshiba additional content and the DVD is perfect! My reasoning is, that if there was something wrong with the hardware of the Laptop, then all DVD reading programs would react the same way, but as they do not, it must be a programming (or operating system problem).
Am I on the right lines? Is there a way to solve the problem via a downloadable file?

Thanks guys for your replies, sorry if my question is confusing, but I couldn't think of any other way of describing it without the use of a screen dump to show you.
At the moment I haven't got another monitor to try, even though this looks as though it would have been the easiest option. I shall start asking round to see if I can borrow one to eliminate that variable.
However I will try to reinstall and to update "Graphic Drivers" to get rid out of this display problem.

TS1702 AppStore downloading trouble

I have tried all of the above, downloading from AppStore still doesn't work, no matter which application I try. Amy more ideas?

Sorry to have been unclear. The issue is that any download i try to do from the app store will freeze, saying "pending", but nothing more happens.

Sorry guys I know this isnt the place for this but....................
I have tried posting on iPhone boards but just keep getting idiots who just dont seem to get it, so Andy O if your about can you share knowledge?
My sister got an iPhone but was denied credit via O2
If I set up her iPhone with my iTunes will she be able to take the iPhone home and then sync it with her iTunes?
I pay the bill but her iTunes updates her iPhone?

It should be entirely possible for your sister to sync the iPhone on her system despite the fact it was activated on yours and you pay the bills - in fact mine was activated on one Mac (my home system) and is synched and updated on another (my work system) with no problem.
She will need to set up the specific items to sync once the iPhone appears in her iTunes source list - simply click it and then click on the tabs to determine what music, podcasts, calendars etc to sync, and she may need to return it to your system for updates since at the time new firmware is applied, the iPhone reactivates via iTunes. I don't think that should be necessary but if an update fails on hers due to an activation failure, she should simply try it again on yours.
Other than that, there should be no problem.

TS1702 Problems with Bell TV App

Trying to get the Bell TV APP to work. Connecting with Wi-FI. Works with my old 1st Gen Ipad, but same error all the time when I try to watch videos on my Ipad3. "Error loading video. Try again Later [error 1521]". I see by the reviews on the App store, I'm not the only one. Bell support is absolutly no help. they blame it on Apple.

TS1702 I got this error when doing a restore

I got this error when doing a restore and the restrictions were turned on . I disabled restrictions and the restore was able to complete.

The error in itunes had a link to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702. I placed this message here for anyone that might navigate to the same message and would hopefully find this. Yes turning off restrictions allowed the restore to complete and everyone is now happy.

Hi Andy, excellent filter addressing something of an issue for me right now (converting old 4:3 video to 16:9 aspect for viewing on my plasma)
You're being a little hard on yourself saying is far from perfect; it's more like "nearly perfect" I've been experimenting with it, and before that Mattais Sandstrom's Smart anamorphic from Too Much too soon plugins. That was a script that I tried to modify (knowing nothing of computer code; just FCP's plugin builder) and I know it's a ***** getting the kinks out of the "bending" around the points of distortion. You've managed very well and with possibly a smoother blend (Protection override helps) this could be perfect. As it is, the user control; the ability to keyframe the sliders makes this a great plugin. I've done some tests and like you say, a static image works great. the give away is a panning shot or if you keyframe the protected area to move (to sometimes track a subject) That said it's densely detailed backgrounds that give away effect; out of focus works a treat. I tend to key frame on the edit so on the next frame the area has has jumped to protect another subject. If I have to track a figure for instance I try to keep the move as long as possible so the effect of "bulging" is gradual and less noticable. I also "squeeze" the footage slightly to produce two slight black bars either side of the screen, barley noticable, bur lessens the stretching of the protection override. ( I have best "compromise" settings of protection width 30, Protection override 3-6, and elasticity of 4) I think if you can smooth out that distortion around the protected area you'll have a "perfect" plug-in! I'd even make a donation to see this gets done! Great work Andy, Thanks!

if the source is 4:3 and the target is 16:9 then you will need to blow-up the image so that the horizontal axis fills the 16:9 image width ... that means you will have to crop the image either top or bottom or a bit of both.
simplest is to nest the 4:3 sequence into a 16:9 one and then resize the nest to 133% using the motion tab scale attribute and accept the default centre cut cropping of top and bottom of the image.
for more control you may want to reframe each shot for best placement

I had successfully applied the Calender to the form6.0. All the libraries and .pll are attached successfully.
But at the run-time, it is giving an error that ora-01840, Argument 2 to COPY can not be null,
What was that problem? Please!!!

Why do you want to reinstall the OS on a new Mac? That should not be necessary. If you tell us what's wrong that is making you want to do that, we can better advise you.
As to reinstalling the OS, on a Mac with Lion (Mac OS X 10.7.x), you need to either have an internet connection capable of downloading several GB of data or you need to buy the Lion flash drive from the Apple Store.

So, I have a 16:9 project and need to use Andy's guides to show me center cut (4:3) straight in the center. For some reason, I only see the options "4:3" or "14:9". I'm assuming the "14:9" is center cut, but want to verify.

If you need 4:3 guides then choose 4:3 (not 14:9) from the popup. The Crop Safe guide will then indicate the region that will be cropped if and when you create your center cut version. Use the Actions Safe and Title Safe guides to ensure that your Center Cut version will comply with broadcast recommendations.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great plug-in's!
I've had a couple of them for quite a while (regional blur and simple crop) but have just discovered the 'Andy's Safe Guides 2' and it works like a dream.
Most of our stuff is now being filmed in 16:9 ( hdv ), for future-proofing purposes, but it all goes to broadcast (BBC World / News 24) now at 4:3, so the 'guides plug-in is great for laying up graphics and picture-in-picture sections.
