Install the v10.6.6 combo update available here. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.6. The combo includes fixes that were not included in the original update.

Restart your Mac and try the MAS again.
You can download apps directly from the MAS once you have it running.
Considering the TM backup took so long, make sure there's enough space on your Mac startup disk.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.*

Open App store app. On the main page scroll to the bottom. You will see your Apple ID. Click on it...then click on Open Apple ID. You should be able to change store.

i just downloaded two rental movies from the iTunes store, proceeded to sync them to my iPad, and now I can't find where they landed. Anybody know where to access rental movies on the iPad? thanks
And just in case .... You don't actually sync rental movies to the iPad....
To transfer a rented movie from iTunes, use the movies pane in iTunes. Rented movies transfer is at the top. You must have an Internet connection to transfer a rented movie. Select the "move" arrow in the direction you wish to transfer, and click the apply button at the bottom right. Rented movies can only exist on one device at a time, they do not sync like other video, but move from iTunes to the iPad. -
The iTunes Store doesn't open on iPad after iOS 7 download
After I downloaded iOS 7 and opened up the iTunes store, nothing came up. I just see a blank white/black screen depending on which tab (music, movies etc) is selected. I tried restarting the iPad and also switching off and turning the Wifi back on. Anyone else have similar issues? I have a 3rd generation iPad (64 GB).
I had this same problem. Tried everything the internet said including a full restore. Which was terrible. Nothing worked until.....go to general...reset....reset all settings.
You had to go back in and reset anything you customized afterwards, however it does not allow the store to load. Thanks! -
SInce the last update none of the artwork in iTunes, even in the iTunes store, is displayed just empty grey boxes, anybody else have this problem?

Use a alias, but you might have to use a zip code that matches the location used.
Also if you click the right button there is a way to bypass the registration, like register later or something, Apple has it hidden. Also to bypass the internet connection to send the registration off.
Never place your name on a Mac or PC, it's spread throughout the entire machine, in emails, on the network in plain sight etc. -

Thank youYou can only buy content from your own country's store i.e. the Egyptian store if you are in Egypt - you need to be in a country to use its store, so to use the US store you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account. If there is an app or any other item that you would like to be buy that isn't currently available in the Egyptian store then you can try requesting that it be added, but unless the app's developer or rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Events replace rolls (if your rolls are named - NOT the default rollxxx name - they will come across as is - to me events are rolls with much more capability and a new name - some people are VERY putoff by the change (but most love it) for reasons that I simply do not comprehend
10) What is the effective (or advised) maximum library size? I've probably got over 60GB of images in my libraries now, with 20,000 images or so. If 7 can readily digest them (and preserve all my albums, etc.), then I'd love to combine them into one, unless that will kill performance, make the database unstable, drive backups into interminable waits, etc.
The advertised max is 250,000 photos - I have about the same number of photos as you in about 1/3 the space - there are a few users here with libararies your size. With iPhoto Library Manager it is easy to maintain multiple libraries if you choose

I have Maveriks. I downloaded numerous ACID Fonts and purchased Stuffit as instructed by ACID Fonts in order to use them. However, now I am unable to figure out how to get them into my Font Family drop down list or insert into Pages. PLS HELP!

Can no longer download from some of my 'usual' places, even after the 'update'. WTF?
I've been unable to download ANYTHING from a few of my 'regular' places since I got this %#*@^ 'improved' Firefox. If it wasn't nearly impossible to do, I'd go back to the old one, at least it did ALL the things I use a browser for.
Here's the deal. I go to one of these websites, spy something I need, and try to start a download. Does it happen? NO! Why not? Because said website admonishes me that I already have my limit of downloads in progress! Seems simple enough, you think? Sure, except that I have NO f**king downloads in progress! That never happened with the older Firefox, the one that worked. I've spoken with the webmaster of a couple of the sites involved, and they've made no changes, have no other problems, BUT they advise me that MANY of their users who have this POS 'new' Firefox are having the exact same issue.
I hoped that, once you people issued an 'update' for this spiffy new Firefox4, you'd fix this problem. Surely I'm not the only person cursed with this problem?
Hey, look, if you can't or won't bother to fix this, would you at least have the decency to make it easy to go back to the OLD Firefox that worked reliably?
You can bet I'm making it my business to tell anyone and everyone I can reach that FF4 is a POS, and this is a very good time to find a new browser, like Chrome. Even IE manages to download from the website(s) FF4 no longer d/l's from.

If it matters, mine is a plain vanilla PC, running 64-bit Win7, basic un-tweaked installation. I have the issue noted above whether or not I have any add-on's working. I've made sure to reboot the PC and restart FF4. I've downloaded and installed the alleged 'update', then again rebooted the machine, and still have the same f**king problem, website(s) think I'm already downloading. I never had this problem before I got this spiffy new Firefox4, and if it wasn't such a chore to remove it and go back to a Firefox that WORKED, I would have already done so. Now you've done an 'update', and apparently no one there gives a f**k about this. The websites involved are the same ones I've been d/l'ing from for years, with no problems, and they've made no changes. My PC hasn't been in any way changed, it's entirely the fault of Firefox4. I bought an ipod a few years ago and used a few itunes cards to purchase downloads (music only). Then, i started copying cd's to my computer and they also showed up on my itunes pages. nonetheless, i started making playlists. in the meantime, there was a balance of $6.96 on my account, and i was not able to use the balance to redeem because i lost the itunes card it came from (who would've thought i needed to save the card)...anyway, fine, i recently purchased an iphone. Well, i have purchased a few new itunes cards and have downloaded about ten songs off itunes from my phone to my phone in my phone. Okay, now i am home, and i want to see about getting things in order, ie, making playlists, etc, but including of course the music i already have on the pc in its itunes page. mass confusion for a nontechnological person. i think it's possible, like, to transfer from iphone to pc, and then from pc to iphone, and to coordinate songs from one to the other, but i have no idea how to do this. so, i am researching, and i am finding support here and there, but my device isn't even showing up on the left hand side when i bring up itunes on my computer! so, there is no way to transfer anything!

Not so sure about the second issue without more info, but as to the first matter, pictures you take on your phone are saved to your phone, they are not saved to iCloud, there is no way around this only to move your pictures to a computer regularly to free up more space.
