TS1702 App did not finish loading, appears stuck in loading

When updating iBook app, the app stopped before finishing.  Since it has not finished, I cannot delete it. How do I get a new app on me iPad, do I loose all my books? Can I tweak this one to finish?

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • The search application 'guid' on server 'servername' did not finish loading

    Hi all,
When trying to administer the content sources of the SharePoint Search Service I'm getting the following error:
The search application '74ae6181-7c32-4225-adbb-b630129c56c9' on server NLAMSAPP27 did not finish loading. View the event logs on the affected server for more information.
I have been searching the web for solutions, but apart from deleting and rebuilding the Search service (which I don't want to do at this point in time) I have not really encountered any useful suggestions.
Below is what I see in the trace log files.
    Does anybody have a clue?
    Regards,
    Vladja

    Hi all,
    I noticed something weird later:
When listing all service applications in the farm by using the following powershell command
Get-SPServiceApplication I got the below result.
However, this list does not contain the GUID listed in my error message:
    The search application '74ae6181-7c32-4225-adbb-b630129c56c9'
on server NLAMSAPP27 did not finish loading. View the event logs on the affected server for more information.
    How can this be?!
Or is there a difference between a Search Application and a
    Search Service Application?

  • HT4059 Recent iiBooks apps did not finish the install. Seems stuck. Any ideas?

I recently received an update for iBooks, so I attempted to update but it stalled in the process, and did not complete the update. Perhaps I should delete the app and reinstall? If so how do I delete an app? Never done that.

That sounds like a lot of story and finding the nuggests of data....
If you nuke an install, your system is dead.
If Boot Camp Assistant won't remove the FAT partition, erase / reformat and restore.
Step #1 is always BACKUP first so you can just do a restore to how things were.
Your story doesn't say which version of Windows, whether it was an ISO EDU or what.
An "Upgrade" copy may not be legit but it still boots.
Lots of people in the past killed / hard restarted in the middle of trying to partition or install Windows and ended up with nothing. Changing your mind "mid stream" can leave you unable to boot OS X as well.
Try booting from SL DVD and repairing your drive, you may even want to restore from your backups.
You have a MacBook Pro, put that and other details in your .sig to help people where it is clearer.

    Try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If this has happened more than once the problem is likely on your PC.

    Hi Guys!
I'm German, so my english writing might not be perfect
I had the same Issue on a 5 i bought. Exact same screen and writing. Battery was totally drawn, first thing I had to replace. The screen had been replaced and since then it wouldn't work anymore according to the previous owner.
It took me a couple hours, after recieving a few errors like 4013 it just never completed the restore, got really hot as well. The Flexwire of the Dock Connector seemed damaged, replaced the dock, but that didn't help.
I almost gave up, thought the Logic Board was bad.
BUT! Then i deceided to check if it has anything to do with the Screen assembly, and it did.
Long story short, on mine the front facing camera, and sensor assy were bad.
Anyhow, the phone works ''perfect'' when i leave them unplugged. So I just ordered a new one and we will see if thats the problem or if the damage is in the Logic Board.
If so, i can live without the sensor and front cam.
Just wanted to share, good luck everyone.

After reading all these posts, one by one did not resolve my problem until I got the very end.  Regardless of what step would resolve your problem, these are the steps I would recomment to everyone for a what seems to be a safe and fool-proof upgrade to iTunes 10.5.
    1. Stand alone upgrade to the latest Quicktime version
    2. Go to control panel and "change" then select repair to the following applications in the order specified by the post on Oct 27. (Notice I skipped Quicktime because it had been upgrade manually, and Bonjour did not have a "repair" option)
iTunes; Apple Software Update: Mobile Device Support; Apple Applications Support
Some of these applications may not appear if they do not apply to your configuration (no iPhone, or no iPad, or other apple devices).
Once all updated, I did not need to restart nor launch any applications, I simply went straight into the 10.5 upgrade, and where it normally got stuck, this time the installation continued for a while longer until it completed successfully.
Great work everyone who contributed!  Thank you very much!
