TS1702 App Store says I can't download updates because I am on the US site.
My pad apps show 3 updates are awaiting download. When I try to do this I get a message that I need to go to the UK site but how? There is nothing to take me there?. I have already downloaded 2 apps in the last 24 hours without trouble. I am puzzled.
You do not see this when you follow the steps above? If not, go to the App Store and swipe to the bottom of the screen in the Featured Tab. Tap your ID and sign out. Then sign in again and see if that corrects the problem.

App store says I can't download OS X 10.8, can't figure out why
Hi there,
I'm trying to figure out which of the system requirements I'm missing to download Mac OS 10.8 from the App Store. When I try to purchase the app, I get a message saying "Mac OS X 10.8 is not compatible with this computer." I want to figure out what's wrong so that I can upgrade whatever components I need to get 10.8. I have installed additional RAM and an after-market hard drive, so I hope Apple isn't punishing me for those transgressions.
What are the relevant specs that I can post to help diagnose this problem? Here's the hardware overview page of the System Profiler as a starting point:

I'm guessing yours is simply too old. -
I just downloaded Mountain Lion and everything is working great. But i keep getting an error in the app store and i can't download 'Pages' or any other apps. I keep getting an "error" and it says credit card processing is temporarily unavailable......help
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Launch the App Store. See if that made a difference... -
How to I find out the most recent deductions to my account from the app store (say, for a recent download for additional functionality on a iPad game). Much as I try, I can't seem to get to see my account in enough detail to see what I have spent downloading apps to the ipad.
You need to punch in the passcode for any purchase right, not just for new apps??
If one of the other students, or anyone else, got access to your iTunes Store account, necessary to make any purchases, then they'd have all the information they'd need to also make in-app purchases. But an in-app purchase can only be made through the account through which the original app was purchased. Either your son bought the game (free or paid) and then shared it with someone else along with the account information (necessary to authorize the app on someone else's device), or someone else downloaded the game as well, not just made in-app purchases.
In any case, changing your iTunes Store password should now have cut off any such unauthorized activity, though of course if your son gives the new password out, you'll be back to square one.

Is anybody else still not able to use the App Store? I can't download nor update any apps. I have an IPhone 5 device not currently updated to iOS 7 as my partner also has an iPhone 5 running iOS 7 and it seems to have some issues at the moment.
Hi Tech5Apple,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Remote location, 7kbs d'load speed, 10 days to d'load Lion, only software updates are through the App Store. Why can't we d'load and install outside the Cloud anymore? Some of us can't use the cloud and never will be able to.
That is true - I apologize for not being specific - what I was mainly referring to is iLife applications. I have a notice on the App Store that says 3 apps need updates, I look at the apps and they are huge so since my connection is so slow I use my work connection and d'load the files from support to my Windows machine and carry them home, once d'loaded my MacAir states it cannot install, the update must come from the App Store.
I do the same thing for large Leopard and Lion files and I can install them without error, it is just the App Store files that the system stops. -
I bought a Mac Book Pro retina display, Serial Number C02J*****2, on 8/11/2012. Unfortunately, I am unable to download updates from the App store.Whenever I tried to download updates, it shows me an error message, "we could not complete your request. there is an error in the App Store. Try again later (100). Your Apple ID has been disabled, contact iTune support". However, the problem still persists even after my password has been successfully reset. What is is the error in the app store? I really need help to resolve this issue.
Moreover,I also need help how to update to the mountain lion free of charge as my Mac pro is four(4) days old.
Sincerely
Asrat Kahsay
N.B. I'M not exactly sure the operating system is "Mac OS X v10.7.x". However, I do know for sure it's Mac OS X v10.7.4

I am currently running Mac OS 10.6.8 with all updates on a Mac Mini (3,1--the model with 5 USB ports). Previously, I purchased, downloaded, but did NOT install Lion 10.7.3. Yesterday, I successfully downloaded 10.7.4 via the Mac App Store, but as before I didn't install it (planning to do that this evening). However, starting about an hour ago, the Mac App Store indicates that Lion has been updated and that I should download 10.7.4 -- again, apparently. I'm using the same AppleID account (the only one I have). Anyone else have the same experience? Is there a 10.7.4 version 1.1? If so, nothing in the software description mentions it...
This answer sidesteps my question. I'm aware that I could have upgraded from 10.6.8 to my previously downloaded 10.7.3 and then updated to 10.7.4 using the smaller updaters (I would favor using the Combo). But since the 10.7.3 FileVault security issue directly applied to me, I wanted to upgrade straight to 10.7.4, where it was addressed. Also, since my internet connection is quite fast, taking 15 minutes to redownload all of it again was not a deal-breaker for me. Interestingly, the instance of 10.7.4 I downloaded last night is 25 bytes longer than the 10.7.4 I downloaded the day before. Performing a 'diff -ra' within 'Terminal' between the two instances of the 10.7.4 Installer app revealed that the changes are confined to a single file within: 'Install Mac OS X Lion.app/Contents/_MASReceipt/receipt', and that they look like timestamp differences, so I'm now guessing that the two instances are functionally identical...

Hi, the App Store keeps asking me to download the update Remote Desktop Client Update 3.8.2 v1.1 but I have never purchased Remote Desktop Client so I am unsure why it is asking me to and worry that someone is trying to spy on me! Does anyone know why this is? Thanks in advance!
I find it interesting that since Screen Sharing is available, and works "just fine" that a Remote Desktop Client would be needed to be installed.
I installed it, but I'm not sure why.
I found the updated application in /System/Library/Core Services/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent
Which is also where the screen sharing and vnc bundles live. I clicked on it to see what would happen -- nothing.
I found these ports in another discussion
TCP and UDP port 3283
TCP and UDP port 5900. (Also used for Screen Sharing in OSX 10.5 and later)
port 22
This page confirms their use along with the use of other ports:
TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products - Apple Support
Additionally TCP port 5432 is used by ARD
Having recently noticed (through "network utility" that my computers have had a "ton" of open connections.
This severely hurt system performance.
I note that neither my Airport Express nor my Mac can set up a firewall on these ports.
While I haven't noticed the ARD ports being used, I cannot help but wonder if this is set up for a CIA/NSA backdoor into my computers.
On a less paranoid level, perhaps Apple is planning on adding on-line help to debug our problems in "real-time". ;-) -

Mac app store will not download updates because of error message
Hi,
I also am getting this message. I bought my 15" mac book pro mid 2010 and at the same time purchased iWork. It is not showing in my purchases on Apple ID, I have never changed my Apple ID since purchase. Why would my Apps not show. There are some there but mostly free ones. I checked it under the Store menu after signing in.
After upgrading from Mountain Lion to Yosemite my iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote,Pages and Numbers need to update. But I get this message.
"This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
I have not changed ownership or Apple ID on my mid 2010 Mac Book Pro since purchase. What would cause this? -
I downloaded OSX Mountain Lion via the App Store but I can't download to my other mac
I downloaded Mac OSX Mountain Lion via the App Store. My understanding is that you can download it on up to 3 machines?
I have downloaded it to one iMac and one MBP but have one more to do. I've accessed the App Store with my admin logon on my last MBP to download it but can't seem to find it in my purchased history to do it.
I can go into iTunes into my account and then purchase history where it's recorded, but there's nothing here about how to download it again?
Any advice greatly appreciated.Log into the Mac App Store using the EXACT same Apple ID as before when you first purchased ML, and in your Account look under "Purchases", where you can download it again.
Hope this helps -
TS1702 App store says open but app is not on device
I am trying to download Touch Arcade app to my iPhone 4s. It's a free app. When I goto the app store to download instead of a button that says "Free" followed by "Install", the button says Open. When I hit open nothing happens because the app is not on my device. I have used Search to locate it and of course it isn't there. I have only a few apps on my phone so it's not like Touch Arcade is buried under a folder.
I was able to download it on my iPad np. When I contacted the developer their response was, "that's strange the app store thinks its on your phone when it's not.". The end. In other words' treating me like an idiot and placing the blame on Apple of course.
Other than a full restore of the device, is there a way to fix this annoying bug?
Thanks.Try here. Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You must use the same Apple ID that you purchased the app with originally.
