TS1702 App Store suddenly declining my visa debit as billing payment?

I've been using my ipad 3 for the last few days and my payment methods been my visa debit card. However today after multiple attempts to download a free game for my son it comes up with a message saying the payment methods been declined? I have tried two different cards and still getting the same problem? However it accepted my payment for sky sports app?

If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. Do you have a credit card that you could use instead ? Credit cards are generally considered safer than debit cards when used on sites that store the card.

It sounds like maybe you have something that didnt go through, thus leaving an outstanding balance higher than what is on your card, and its declining your transaction in itunes.

I have been using my debit card to buy apps on the App Store, recently, my transaction got declined and I contacted my bank. My bank replied back assuring me that my card was active and there was no problem from their end, what else am I supposed to do??

What sort of card are you trying to use ?

If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? The iTunes app store suddenly seems to think I'm French.

Suddenly a lot of the content on App Store pages is in French. If i use the "share with a friend" it sends the email in French. I'm not French. Never was. I may have followed a link from a French developer's website, though. But now I want to get back into English and can't figure out how. (Reframing this as an opportunity to learn French is not an option.) Thanks for any advice. BG

Ok I figured it out myself But for anyone else with the same problem I tried re-setting my network settings and that did the trick. I should have thought of that!

my app store is suddenly showing me content in chineese or japaneese. i m using emirati store, but now even the app search is not showing any app from this region. i tried restarting the phone, but of no use. i dont want to reset my phone. is there anything else i could do?

Did you by chance change your Country/Region for the App Store?
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > Password

Itunes/app store suddenly does not recognise credit card security codes

I have been using the same card for my itunes account for as long as i have had an itunes account and a personal credit card, all of a sudden about a week or so ago while trying to update some applications on my iphone it asked me to sign in and confirm my billing information, from that day on it has refused to recognise the security code for my credit card or any other credit card for that matter, has anyone else had a similar issue with billing for their app store/itunes account and if so is this something that can be fixed easily without sending the device out or going to a repair centre
the most frustrating thing of all is all of the updates i need to install are free updates for applications that were also free :-/
P.S. I have so far tried re-entering just the security code, the code and the numbers to the left that generally are not required, all the information pertaining to the numerical data on the card, all information in all fields (card and billing address etc.), i even tried using the other phone number for my ATT wireless account as well as my boyfriends mastercard, nothing has worked, it does not recognise the security code even though i know it is correct and has worked for other recent purchases, the odd thing is that unless i enter something wrong it oks all the other information, it's just the security code that always pops a red flag
the specific error messages i have gotten is "security code is invalid", if my security code is invalid then why has my card worked for every other online purchase i've made recently using that security code exactly as it is printed on my card?

This also happened to a friend of mine today as well. Any ideas about what to do about this?

TS3274 My iPad App Store suddenly all went into the Spanish lanuage when all else and my Setting identifies the language to be English. I cannot get it back to English. It appears to be related to an upgrade which is indicatd but I do not know.

It appears to have come with an upgrade as it happened as there was a red circle with "3", but it does not upgrade. All the icons in the store and the descriptions are in Spanish.

Change Language
1. App Store>Featured>Apple ID (at bottom of page)
2. Tap on Apple ID>View Apple ID
4. Enter your password
5. Country/Region>Change Country or Region

TS1702 App Store keeps Crashing on me... why?

Every time when I went to App Store on my iPod touch (4g) and it always quit working itself and back to home page.

I have a red "1" on my App Store app, telling me one of my apps needs to be updated. But when I go to the updates it won't show anything, it's just blank. Everything else in the App Store works but I can't see the updates.any suggestions?

Try these things.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.
Or try this
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
