TS1702 Can't buy paid accessories in app store

I am not able to purchase accessories in game. A pop up box appears and says connect to iTunes support but I've tried almost everything there.

Apparently, there is a problem with Apple’s servers.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.
You can also download the updates in iTunes on your computer and sync them to the iPad.

    i just received the same error.. checked everything in my account and cant find anything wrong.. i have also been getting some weird imap.gmail server not found i looked through all the boards and nothing is working.. i just recently upgraded to ios 5 and thats when the issues started

    We are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know unless you tell us what happens when you try to buy something e.g. does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

    Downloaded trial 3.2. Now App store won't let me buy no matter how I try to get there.

    You need to delete the trial first by moving the application to the system trash.
    Here's my thread on the subject. There are others that go into more detail no doubt, but this is my experience which worked out fine.

    No. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
