    contacts won't open. have switched off ipad, synced, and rest....nothing seems to work!! please help!

    I think you said that you did this but it's hard to tell what "rest" is supposed to mean in your post. Reset the iPad and see if that helps, quit the contacts app and restart.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    To quit the Contacts App - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by e tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • X2-02 contact list not opening

    In my mobile contact list suddenly disappeared. I am afraid that it got deleted. But as it can be seen in my previous messages the names of the message sender still can be seen although there is no name in my contact list. Please somebody help me out. I beleive there is a setting issue because of which i cannot see the names in my contact list. But the names appear in the inbox messages.
    Thanks a ton to the person who helps me in resolving my problem.
    Waiting for early reply,
    Supriya

    cse_supriya, sometimes the phonebook gets corrupted. If you really, really need it and you do not have a backup, I recommend MobiMB » A:\Hiddenfolder\phonebook\misc. If you have a backup, delete the whole phonebook within Menu » Contacts » (More ») Delete all contacts and then import your backup.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    It's a bit difficult to understand your situation...lacking any punctuation (save for the ? at the end), parsing your post into useful information is difficult. I think that you are trying to switch from one device to a new one, and are having some difficulties with the Contact List -- exactly what those difficulties are, I'm not quite able to understand from your post.
    The simplest method to switch devices is via the Device Switch Wizard:
    KB23677 How to switch devices using BlackBerry Desktop Software
    Beyond that, if you are having trouble with only the Contacts, and are using one method, then perhaps trying another method might be useful. I think you are trying to use backup/restore, but then you also say "synchronized", which is a different function, so I'm really unclear as to what method you are using and what issues you are having. Nevertheless, here's another method you could attempt:
    KB24488 How to export contacts from a BlackBerry smartphone using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6
    Otherwise, please do try to post again, but try please to use sentence structure and punctuation so that we can have a chance to understand your situation. Understanding your situation is, as with all communications, the first step in being able to help you.
    Good luck and let us know!

  • "My Conversations" SMS contact list has vanished

    To send an SMS I have, until this morning, been able to open "My Conversations",....New SMS....and hit the blue "To" button to evoke my contact list.  Now all that shows up when I hit the blue "To" button is a screen message that says "No Contacts, (select contact)" but it shows none of my contacts when I know danged well my contact book has 194 entries.  The "To" button has simply ceased evoking the contact list to open. So.....here's my question.  I've got OS 10.2010.19-1.003,...the N900 downloaded it the night I bought it.  Can I remove the OS and re-instal as a means of making the phone "see" the contact list in the New SMS "To" screen?  Or is there another fix I could use.  Either way, I want to be able to select recipients for an SMS right from the SMS "To" button.  It's so convenient !!  Help please !!

    I didn't make a rescue e-mail and now i forgot the answers of my security questions!!' And the apple support contact wont open???

    I'm not sure what you mean by the 'apple support contact wont open' (?). If you mean the 'contact iTunes Store support' link on the page that you posted from I've just tried it and it seems to wok ok for me, though I haven't gone as far as to actually contact them.
    You can contact either iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps on the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use, or if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • TS1702 My music ap wont open on my ipad 2 ( which is linked to my itunes).  It opens up n then shuts down

    I have tried shutting down but it wont open up although my music is all in itunes

    If the iPad is an older model or one of smaller capacity, try fully unloading it before running the app as a test.
    Double-tap Home so the list of loaded apps shows up, then terminate all by swiping upwards on each. This does NOT erase anything. Tap Home to finish when the only item left is the home screen. Then do a force-restart by holding down Home and Sleep simultaneously until the screen goes dark and the white Apple logo appears, then wait till it finishes starting up.

  • Why wont my new contacts save to my contacts list?

    why wont my new contacts save to contact list?

    Exactly what's happened to me... Did u manage to solve the problem?

  • How to open contact list

    Using mozilla for the first time i wish to open a contact list. I cannot any way to do this basic task.

    I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do.
    If you are wanting to see your Address Book when writing an email press F9 when you have a Write window open to turn on the Contact Sidebar.
    Just to be clear Thunderbird has Address Books and Mailing Lists. Mailing Lists are subgroups of contacts created in address books and are used for addressing emails without entering each contact in an address field. You just place the list name in the address field.

  • Can't open contact list?

    I am not able to open or get into my contact list?

    I'm not sure which contact list you are trying to open:
    * List on your email website (such as Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail)
    * Address book in Thunderbird
    * Contacts on mobile device - Android or FirefoxOS
    More info would be helpful.
    If it's a problem with an email website: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
    If it's Yahoo! mail: Many users have discovered all kind of problems and glitches with Yahoo! mail in Firefox when using an old bookmark or old home page URL saved before Yahoo!'s recent server changes.
    If you are accessing your mail either of those ways, I suggest clearing your Yahoo cookies (see above) and entering through the main page to get a better address for your current mail server.
    Go to one of these Yahoo addresses and click on login or mail from there:
    * Yahoo home page: https://www.yahoo.com/
    * My Yahoo page: https://my.yahoo.com/
    * General mail redirect: https://mail.yahoo.com/
    * AT&T users: http://att.yahoo.com/
    * Other country sites (not on .com): the main Yahoo page for your country
    You can save the new address if it works, replacing your old bookmark or home page, as applicable.

  • Unable to open personal contact list Outlook 2010

    Error when opening a personal contact list.  To my knowledge it has not been edited in a newer version of Outlook as we all use Outlook 2010.  Even tried restoring from 6 month old backup when it was supposed to have worked.  Any ideas how
    to get past this?
    Error:
    this contact group has been edited with a newer version of outlook and contains too many members to display.

    Well. Does the DL have more than 5000 contacts in it?  If so, that may cause a problem due to Exchange's 5000 recipient limit for sent emails.
    Where is personal distrubution list stored in your scenario? Stored in OST and sync with mailbox, or backup in the local PST file?
    If other contact groups and contacts can be opened just fine, it seems the issue may occur if the problematic contact groups is corrupted itself.
    You can take a chance to open it via MFCMAPI tool. If it even cannot be open, I think it cannot be recovered unless we do a single mailbox recovery.
