TS1702 Deleted App "downloading" icon stuck on my iPad.

I downloaded an app that I tried, didn't like and deleted. The problem is I still have the "downloading" icon sitting my iPad. How do I get rid of this? I tried holding it for the 'jiggle', but I don't get the option to delete it.

Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

I don't think you can delete or remove them completely from the Purchase list. They can only be hidden by doing a left or right swipe on the app and then tap the Hide button.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Cannot unpause lion app download, its stuck?

I started to download the lion app and then had it start up and then stop. now i have the icon stuck in my dock on pause. when i go to the app store to check on it , there is only a download button and no pause or resume?

Then download it again. I suggest you connect your Mac to your internet router with an Ethernet cable as sometimes WiFi will drop out and leave you where you are now.
If it happens again with the computer WIRED to your router then it is your ISP that is dropping the connection, for whatever reason.

just downloaded the latest pages software, expecting it to over write my old version. but it has not? Now I have two versions. Surely it should have detected the old version and combined the two?

See if any of these things will let you download Pages.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

Hi OldPete71$$$... You are not alone. I am taking my iPad3 to the Apple store later today - I had to wait to get an appointment - for this very problem. This error did not occur until I updated to 8.1.1. I have not tried letting the device sit, I have been doing a hard reboot to recover functionality. If it's any consolation, I *can* delete apps through the iTunes interface, it's just very sloooooow. I can't delete internet shortcuts that I've stored on the home screen this way, though.

This App Cannot be Deleted... as is the same for any pre-installed iOS App... It's probably just Hiding from you...
Check in All Folders and on All Pages/Screens...
Check in Restrictions...
Settings > General > Restrictions
If no joy...
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen

Deleted app store icon

I some how deleted my app store icon on my iphone 3g and I was wondering if there is anyway to get it back? I reset my iphone and it only came back with all the main apps but no app button??

The passcode to unlock the iPhone is not necessarily the same as the passcode to get into Restrictions. Someone has put the App Store restriction on. In doing this, they entered a passcode, independent of the unlock passcode. You need to find out who had access to your iPhone to do this... they should know the passcode.
If the last time you backed it up, the App Store was not restricted, you can restore it with this backup and that will remove the passcode. Just don't back it up before restoring.

the basci funcationality of the application is very similar toits website.
That is the problem. Add additional functionality so the app does more than the web site. Otherwise what is the point of the app?

Lumia 822 App download/update stuck in "pending"

Hi all,
Recently starting having issues with my phone (Lumia 822) that mostly seem to be connectivty related (I'm guessing).
About a month or so after updating to WP 8.1/Lumia Denim I began to have several data related issues.
1. Data Sense stopped working to the point that I can't even open the app. Attempts to "resume" then kicks back to the start screen.
2. A short time later my apps stopped downloading, both updates and new.
3. Then i started having issues with my Here Maps saying it can't connect to the maps library right now. The apps actually don't do anything now so I'm guessing my old maps are corrupted or gone.
I tried a number of fixes including checking time and date, removing and reseating my SD card, reseating my SIM card, enabling/disabling installing apps on the SD card, enabling/disabling auto update, enabling/disabling downloading only over Wi-Fi. No change. About a week ago I bit the bullet and wiped my phone. Everything started working again and I figured my issue had cleared. Well it's back again, same issues and I am at a loss for fixing it. Any ideas?

So I finally resolved the issued. date+time was the culprit, though not in the way I thought it would be.
To fix:
1. Go to settings>date+time
2. Turn off "Set date and time automatically"
3. Check your time zone - mine was blank.
4. Change your time zone to another zone. (didn't seem to matter which)
5. Back out of time zone settings and see if time zone is no longer blank. (should be displaying the chosen time zone)
6. Go back to home screen
7. Go to settings>date+time
8. Turn on "set date and time automatically"
9. Restart phone
10. Make sure app updates are set to update automatically
11. Within about 15 minutes your first "pending" app should start to update
I'm guessing that after the update the phone either didn't pull the right time zone or was confused on it. I had manually set it during one of my first attempts to fix the issue, but apparently manually setting it to the same one that it was on didn't fix it. I'm guessing it needed to pull it from the cell tower. I noticed after daylight savings kicked in earlier that my time was always off by an hour. It seemed like the phone was on Central Time (I'm in Eastern Time Zone USA) but when I manually set it to Eastern, even though it showed it in time zone settings, when I backed into date+time it would show the time zone field blank. I set it to Central Time, backed out then reset to automatically pull and within 15 minutes my phone was working right again.
This fixed my "pending" app download issue, my time issue, my data sense issue, pretty much everything is working as it should again. I'll update if I notice anything else wrong. But for now this resolved my issue.

Why can't i delete a download from itunes on my ipad.

Anyone know how to remove a download in itunes on my ipad. I don't want it and it keeps having errors and re-starts downloading. See no way to cancel or remove it.

Delete app download in progress

HELP! I am so far unable to stop a mistaken download. It is about 6% downloaded. I tried to stop it as soon as I accidently clicked the buy button it's a $25 app! I've gone through itunes on my desktop and also on my ipad. When the apps wiggle no X appears over this app. In itunes I deleted it but it doesn't disappear. and also at what point is apple allowed to charge your account, when you click buy or when download is complete?
Anybody have a solution?

Multiple apps were selected for upload.
After many hours, I don't see the upload progressing and I can't access the apps getting updated.

Try both of these suggestions.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.

TS1702 In-App Downloads

Okay, so I'm trying to download the In-App stuff for Catwang and #Hallowang. I also have downloaded #ImaUnicorn, all by Franky Aguilar. I downloaded the In-App "Get Everything!" for the unicorn one... and I tried downloading all the other stuff for hallowang and catwang... but it tells me "Please contact iTunes support to complete this transaction." then brings up the other notification saying "Whoops - Cannot connect to iTunes Store" when in reality I have my iPhone plugged into my computer, on iTunes. How can I fix this? I'd appreciate help! Please! :/
