Hi, i can't download any apps because it says i have to change stores, but when i tried changing stores it says i can't because i already have a code from an itunes gift card.

You have to use up the balance on the card before you can change stores and as far as I know, there is nothing that you can do about it on your own. I assume that you entered a card from a different country's store, and now you can't switch to another store because of that. You have to use a card in the country/store in which the card was purchased.
Contact iTunes support and see if they can help you. You can change the country in the upper left corner of the page to whatever store you need.

You may reset the password on your account by opening https://iforgot.apple.com/ in Safari and entering your Apple ID (your email address, which the moderators should have removed earlier).
You won't be able to set the password to your email address, or a recently-used password (if I remember correctly).
Once you change your password, you should update your password on your iOS device in Settings > iTunes & App Store, then tapping the "Apple ID: <username>" cell at the top to re-enter your password. (Your iOS device may prompt you for the new password before getting to Settings as well.)

You can view the balance of your iTunes account : on my iPad it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Store and it should show on the screen that you are taken to). If your balance is zero then it might not show.

When on the iTunes store page in iTunes, scroll to the bottom. There, on the right is a flag by which you can change the settings.

The HT1541 page that you posted from has instructions for how to resend a gifts from your iTunes account - assuming that the address that you originally sent it to doesn't exist and it hasn't been redeemed.
