TS1702 How do I complain about spamming from App Store vendors

How do I complain about spamming from Kabam.Com after uninstalling their product and following unsubscribe links?

I would be pretty upset about this too.

  • How do I complain about a broken app sold in the Mac app store?

I bought Viewfinder from Connected Flow Ltd originally from their website. It stopped working under Mountain Lion which hindered my usual workflow.
I was excited to see that it was availalbe on the App Store and subsequently bought it again (some AUD$20 worth) because I figured it must be compatible if it was being sold. The version I have is 1.1.1(41) and it's totally useless full lock and freeze EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.
The app is no longer in the app store and the vendor is non responsive to all inquiries.
Can someone please advise what the process is for recovering my money for goods that aren't fit for sale?
    Cheers,
    Stuart.

  • How do I download iWork 09 from App Store

I own iWork 09 which I downloaded to upgrade 08 before the App Store existed. None of the apps show as installed in the App store. I tried to download them so I could receive the updates, and download to the other Mac's I own. The App store said that they were already installed and to use Software Update to update. Software update shows them to be the most recent versions which match the versions on the App store.
How do I get the App store versions, especially if I am willing to pay for them, again.

I am in the same situation. Before the Mac App Store, the way to get iWork was to download a 30-day trial version, and then purchase a license/registration key from apple.com.
I recently had to reinstall on a new computer and I had to go through this procedure:
Find the page to download the iWork trial.
    Download and install iWork manually.
Log in to my apple.com store account.
Find the registration key in my purchase history.
I asked Apple about the possibility of transferring my license key to the Mac App Store, since both accounts are under the same Apple ID. This is the response, for everyone's information:
I understand that you are looking for the possibility of transferring a software purchase from the Apple Store Online to the App Store in iTunes in exchange it in a form of an app.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer those purchases from two different store. Although it shares the same account name, purchases are separate and is being supported by different groups.
You may want to try to contact the Apple ON Line Store and inquire about their return policies, so you can repurchase the software thru the App Store in iTunes.
    Thanks for understanding.
It's understandable, but it seems so un-Apple.

  • HT204266 how do I remove a user from app store

The app store will not allow me to update my apps without updating a user that was the previous owner of the laptop. How do I remove this person from the computer etc.

If you mean an iTunes store id then Settings > Store - touch the id on the right and select sign-out from the popup. You can also do it via the bottom of the Feature tab in the App Store app. If you have any apps on the iPad that were downloaded/installed via that id then you may want to delete them - if updates for them ever appear in the App Store then you will only be able to update them via the id that was used to buy them (apps are linked to the account id, not to the device that they are on)

  • How do i reinstall Lion OS from App store?

Use the same Apple ID and password as you used to download it. It should be under "Purchases".

how does one cancel a purchase from the apps store?

Purchases are considered final, but you can try the 'report a problem' link to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

  • How do I re-download aperture from app store.

How do I re-download aperture from the App store?  It indicates it is installed, of course, but I want to see if a new download will correct some issues with the current application.
    Thanks,
    Carol

The only way to download it again is to delete the current installation (of the application not your libraries)
Delete Aperture from the Applications folder and you will be able to download it again.

  • How to backup up Garageband '11 from App Store?

    Hi,
I bought Garageband '11 for my iMac from the App Store and downloaded all the application files, loops and free piano tutorials. This took ages on my 5mb broadband connection, but I got there in the end.
This was on a fresh install of the 10.6.0 Snow Leopard Retail disk, updated to 10.6.6, with no other additional apps installed. I only use my iMac for Garageband as I have a very fast Core i7 PC for everything else.
Can anybody tell me, how do I back up the complete app and files for quick and easy reinstall? Or rather, what is the location of all the various Garageband files other than the app, and if I back them all up, would I just be able to drag and drop them back to their original location in the event of a system refresh, or is there more involved regarding the registry of the software in the system?
I don't use Time Machine to backup my complete system as I regularly manually backup all my Garageband creations to an external hard drive and DVD-ROM.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    From the Apple support pages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4482
*Mac App Store: Backing up your app purchases*
+If you purchase an app and then delete it, you can use Mac App Store to reinstall the app (if it's still available) without incurring additional charges to your account.+
+Open Mac App Store (it is called App Store on your Dock or in the Applications folder).+
+Select the Purchases view at the top of the window. App Store will show all apps purchased on your account.+
+Click the Install button next to any available app displayed to reinstall it on your Mac.+
+If you save a copy of an app to removable media (such as an external hard drive) or file share, simply drag the app back from its storage location to your Applications folder. When you open the restored app for the first time, you may be required to sign in with the Apple ID account that was used to purchase the app.+

  • How do I remove an account from app store

I would like to remove an account on my macpro. When I set up my mac I used my apple ID. I then gave the mac to my son and he is using his apple id. Whenever he needs to update a mac app like iphoto it asks for my apple id. I would like to remove my id  for help so he does not always need to come to me.
    Thank you

I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
The issue is that if these iLife apps came bundled on the Mac and your Mac did not come with install DVDs, then these apps have been accepted into your Mac App Store account. The only way to change this is to call Apple Care and as per Hacks previous posts, request to be transferred to the Account Support Team and request that they release the Mac and bundled apps from your account's Apple ID.

  • How to Install Lion on iMac from App Store

I have all the requirements already, but when I click the install button nothing happens. theres no loading bar or wizard. even when i search for "OS X Lion" nothing shows up. but I already have it purchased. odd right? Would I have to buy the disk from the apple store and do it that way or is something wrong with my computer. I already rebooted it like 4 times btw. Thanks.

    - Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
    - Quit the App Store
    - In Finder - Go>Go to folder...  (or Apple-shift-G)
    - Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/ "
    - It will take you to a folder.  Delete com.apple.appstore
    - Launch the App Store.  Sign in and then reclick the Lion buy.  It won’t charge you again.
Try resetting the App Store and Clearing Cookies.

  • How to remove keynote update notification from App Store?

Hi guys, I am trying to remove Keynote and Page update notifications showing on App Store (since I don't use those apps). I have already deleted them from App folder.
Right click on the notification does not show "remove" option (nor any other option). Any thoughts?
    Best,
    Manuel.

    Hi Imp68,
You were right, I used migration assistant earlier and it seems that it created another folder for keynote and pages ( /Applications/iWork '09 ) and I missed to see it. Deleting it solved my issue. Thanks for the tip!
    Best,
    Manuel.

  • How do hide/delete* previous purchases from App Store, ios7?

Preferably able to be done from an iPhone or iPad. If that cannot be done, please tell me how do do it from the computer (not Mac).
Note: I need an ios7 version.
    *preferably able to delete it.
    Many thanks!
You Know Who, He Who Must Not Be Named, V******t

Not sure if you can do it directly from the iPhone or the iPad.
From any computer, access iTunes Store, select PURCHASED and place the mouse over the purchase you want to hide. A cross button should appear at the far right. Check it and it will ask you if you want to hide the purchase.
