I bought a budget sheet app from the apple store, there is no option of sub category given and therefore the app doesn't function can I get its money back ?

Actually, wrong.
The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.
Good luck.

  • HT204266 If an app doesnot do what it says it will, can I get my money back ?

If I purchase an app and it doesn't work can I get my money back? How do I go about it?

You've tried deleting and re-downloading the app, and tried contacting the developer (there should be a contact link on the app's description page in the store) ?  If you don't get a reply then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • My 3 year old has downloaded a £70 app can I get my money back? He has somehow purchased, 'vault of gems' on Mini Pets. It seems unbelievable that an upgrade to a kids app is £70!!! I suppose this is how these robbers make money.. Any help appreciated.

My 3 year old and I downloaded, 'mini pets'. app. Whilst playing he managed to purchase a 'vault of gems' for a staggering £70!!!!
Can we get our money back? I can't believe there was no security or the iTunes password to submit and how is an app upgrade £70 these people are rob dogs.
    Please help....

    JohnGeorge,
Apple allows apps to list themselves as "Free" if the initial download is free, even if the app has kid-oriented inducements for costly in-app purchases.  The in-app purchases are almost always ridiculous, over-priced game accessories, of which your example of "vault of gems for £70" is right up there.  It is way too caveat emptor for my taste, but each consumer can form their own opinion on that.
To Apple's credit, they have a good record of granting refunds providing you explain the extenuating circumstances (purchase by a minor) and only ask once.  Contact iTunes Customer Service.
And immediately, you need to place restrictions on the devices.  The restrictions are off by default (caveat emptor!), so you need to take action to place them.  See this document:  iOS: Understanding Restrictions

  • HT204266 I bought an app for 4.99 and it not the app I needed. Can I get my money back or a credit?  It didn't do what I thought it would do.

I bought a 5 dollar app that didn't do what I understood it would do. Can I get my money back or even a credit? The app I bought I wanted it to zip a file video so I could get the video off my iPhone cause it took up all my hard drive space and it wouldn't zip a file from my phone like I understood it did. So since then I've found a free izip that did what I needed. Is there any way to get my money back and or return the app?F

Here is a link to the return policy.

    But, no.

    Hi...
Apple's policy states that, "all sales are final" >  iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
But since you are not getting any help from the developer, you can use the email form to contact Apple and ask for a refund >  Apple - Support - Mac App Store - Contact Support.
    No guarantees.

  • I bought a new Mac Pro from an Apple store, it was sold as factory sealed, but it's reconditioned - it has some strangers entire photo, library from 2003 to 2011 in the trash bin.

. I bought a new Mac Pro from an Apple store 2 days ok, it was sold as factory sealed, but it's reconditioned - it has some strangers entire photo, library from 2003 to 2011 in the trash bin.
I was bought a Mac book pro as a birthday gift from the Apple Store in Leicester, after completing the initial set up procedure, I noticed that  the trash bin was full of some one's entire photo collection from 2003 to 2011.
This is entirely unacceptable for Apple: How long have Apple been fobbing of consumers who believe they were genuinely purchasing a 'new' Mac book?
How is it that I have someones entire photo collection on my 'branch new Mac Book Pro' - these photos included wedding photo's, birthday celebrations, family celebrations and children. Its a serious breach of data protection, it's an invasion of some poor persons privacy and private photo collection. What concerns me the most, is what could have happened if those photo's had fallen into the wrong hands. We managed to trace, locate and contact the person who the photo's belong to within 10 mins using information taken from their wedding album.
Understandably these people are also very distressed that their personal photos are on my brand new Mac Book pro.
I would like details of who to contact in regards this incident.

  • If I bought my iPhone in America from an Apple Store and have the receipt can I return it to a Japanese Apple store?

If I bought my iPhone in America from an Apple Store and have the receipt can I return it to a Japanese Apple store? Yes it is within 30 days, I bought it July 21st, meaning it is within 15 days, as well.

I would doubt it, but there's nobody here who can speak on behalf of Apple.  Phone the Japanese store: they will know far better than us fellow users.

  • HT4098 How can I get my money back from app store when I did not renew my app

I didn't not renew the app that I never really use and now the apple store charge me from my card. How can I get my money back and what number I should call because I totally lost at apple store and don't know what to do. This is really frustrated that apple have this kind of customer service... could someone help?

These are user-to-user forums, they are not monitored by Apple (there are too many forums/threads/messages for that to happen).
If the apps aren't working as described in the store then you could the report a problem link from your purchase history : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933

  • I have bought un-useful app which is an image converter app. It did not mention unsupported formats can I get my money back?

    Dear Apple support team
I have just bought an application, it is an image converter, but it did not mention that it doesn't support a specified image formats. When I bought it I could not get any use of it because it does not dupport NTF format.
Can I get my money back?!
    Thank you,
    Regards.

    Refunds -
All sales are final. the App Store is not a try it and return it situation.
Apple sometimes gives a one-time per account refund. If this is the app which you wish to use your possible one refund with use the Report a Problem link in the emailed receipt that you receive on the purchase in 24 to 48 hours to ask for the refund.
    If your purchase was in the last few weeks you may also use this link to report a problem;

  • Mauled by Lion: all my MS Office apps now UNUSEABLE. Can I get my money back from Apple, who didn't bother telling me before I purchased?

Apple NEVER BOTHERED TO SAY THAT ALL POWERPC APPS DO NOT WORK ON LION.
Now I cannot open any of my Word/Excel/PPT docs.
HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?

    Hello:
From your post, you must be using Office 2004 (I was) and the version is only supported under OS X 10.6 and earlier.  The reason is that Rosetta is not included in OS X 10.7.  Out of curiosity, why do you blame Apple for the fact that a seven year old MICROSOFT software release does not work on Apple's new operating system?  Microsoft's later releases (Office 2008 and 2011) do run, I understand, under OS X 10.7.  I decided to not buy the pricey software and am using Apple's iWork instead.

  • Not able to update any apps from new apple id.. Old id im not using anymore., cannot access the old one

Not able to update any apps from new apple id.. Old id im not using anymore., cannot access the old one.. But during update time asking for same old password of old apple id

If you change your Apple ID, all the apps you purchased with the previous ID will no longer updatable for you and this problem will continue. You see your old Apple ID because you are likely still using some of the apps purchased on that ID.
