TS1702 I had updates for some apps I already had ,but the updates started installing ,and they have been in the waiting mode now for about a week. What do I do ?
I had some updates for several apps ,when I installed them they went to waiting ,and ,have been that way for about a week,What do I do now ?
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Just to add a couple of more things that you can try ... Along with what TMM suggested ....

You can also try updating from the app description page rather than the Updates Tab. Do a search for the apps that needs to be updated - when it appears in the search - tap on the app icon. Then tap on Update or Install - whatever happens to appear next to the app icon - in the description page that pops up.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. -
Updated games and they have been waiting for almost 24 hours. I don't want to lose the progress on the game by deleting and re-installing. Any suggestions?

If you have the old phone, connect it to iTunes, right click on the device, and choose transfer purchases. If you no longer have the old phone, I don't believe there is a way to recover them, as they were on your original device.

Reset, hold both the Home and Power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone begins to start. If still problem, and your decide to Restore your iPhone, try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time.

My G5 iMac has a screen color problem. The color is green with lines. What can I do to repar this? Sometimes the screen will freeze and I have to reboot the computer and the screen will be normal for up to 5-6 hours and then suddenly changes back to a greenish color.
Try running in Safe mode. This leaves out some video drivers. Which results in machine not using advanced video hardware.

This is about addons. I have read the support article on finding and mana addons and it didn't solve my problem. I can't find some of the addons I installed although they appear on the list of addons installed on the tools addons page. Some are on the long press menu but those I can't find include bluhell, tap tap wrap, tap translate and add block edge.
They appear on the Add-ons list as being enabled, but there doesn't seem to be any user interface to actually use them?
I haven't experimented with those particular extensions. If you don't see what the screen shots on the add-ons site show, usually there is a support link for the extension, or you may find usage tips in the reviews from other users who ran into the same problem. -

around late nov. both my phone and my wife's stopped up dating our photo stream
called support and after several hours of resetting hot and cold they had me put in support id so they could look further into it. this was several weeks ago and the problem still exist and I have heard squat from supportGot home last night and received my updated HD DVR box. My only problem is - if Verizon is going to recycle/refurbish these boxes shouldn't they make sure they are at least CLEAN before they send them out to consumers? The box I received had 2 "Quarter sized" globs of some kind of sticky brown residue on the front of the box. This is pretty disgusting IMO...I was able to remove them but it was still ridiculous that I had to do that when I received the box. -
I have been amazed from the Express Lane support. I have been asking information about how to store/push my iTunes music in the iCloud. The answer has been that iCloud DO NOT stores you iTunes music at all !!!!! Is this real ?

my Ipod doesn't recognize when i have turned OFF the hold...it still reads as hold..any ideas?
thanksA Reset (in link from previous post) is not a Restore. It does not erase the iPod. A Reset is THE method to "re-boot the whole system."
The reason for the Hold switch has nothing to do with turning an iPod ON or OFF. It exists because most iPods have touch-based controls. The Hold switch is there to lock the controls, in situations when the iPod is playing music and you don't want to inadvertently touch the controls while handling the iPod.
Pressing and holding the Play/Pause button turns an iPod OFF. But I hardly ever manually turn OFF my iPod (except for my iPod shuffle). I just stop playing music and leave it alone. The display backlight goes off by itself within a few seconds, and if the controls are not touched, the iPod soon goes into the same power saving mode as turning it OFF manually. -
I updated internet explorer also changing my server provider so that my web page contact emails would go thru. I have quest broadband and could not use my yahoo accounts as they are not compatible, had me open a q.com email will transfer to outlook for my web pages. That all works, but now firefox is acting up.
Many business users chose to use the downgrade option to XP until Windows 7 had been out awhile longer ,which may be what happened on your machine. Where I work, most all of the machines still run XP.
Recovery Disks contain the OS and all drivers/software for a specific model. A plain Windows disk contains just the OS.Not sure which you have, but a true Recovery Disk set will not work on any machine.
It really sounds like you have a Windows Repair disk which requires a backup image to repair an installation.Could you confirm what exact disk you have?

I haven't been able to remove it using "the remove bookmark" feature.try this<br>Bring up the Bookmarks Library List ("Ctrl+Shift+B"), use search box to search for the bookmark and use the "Del" key to delete or right -click on the row then "Delete".
No idea why you can't remove the bookmark with the dialog.
