Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

You're trying to update an application that's running, perhaps in another account. Make sure you quit all apps that are to be updated. If another user is logged in under Fast User Switching or Screen Sharing, he or she must do the same.

Is this a company email account? If so you may need to talk their technical support, as there may be additional layers of security which are preventing a connection.

So I recently got an iPad 2 and everything was fine until I tried plugging it into my computer (which I didnt do when I got it). I had a passcode on it and the error message said that it cannot connect because of the passcode, so I unlocked it and hit try again and same error message. I then disabled the passcode and it still wont connect. Ive tried turning the computer off and back on, also tried turning the iPad on and back on. NOTHING IS WORKING!!! It is really frustrating because I need it for my study and it wont connect through iTunes, and because of that it wont connect to the computer at all!!! Please help me here, my partner and I are usually really good with this kind of suff and we cant work this out.. It has never happened to us before.. Please Help!!!!!If you cannot access the iPad because of the passcode, you have no choice but to restore it using the same steps that you would use if you forgot the passcode.

Can't setup the Web Services as printer says "cannot connect to the server to get the update"
Just purchased and am setting up my HP Officejet pro 8600. It has set-up wirelessly without a hitch until I tried to install/enable the web services and I continue to get a message saying "the printer could not connect to the server" therefore it cannot check for an update on Web Services apps and they will not be enabled. Never had so much trouble setting up an HP printer in the past. Looks like this web services is more of a headache and a gimmick to sell this printer.

I found the solution after 2 days.
Open internet explorer and type in the IP address of the printer in the address bar then press enter.
The embedded web server of the printer should pull up.
C. Click the network tab near the top.
On the left side, click IPv4 under your connection type, wireless or wired.
D. Change the IP address from automatic to manual.
Enter the same IP address, default gateway, and subnet mask.
Enter 8.8.8.8 for the primary dns and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary then click apply.
E. After the apply button has been clicked to apply the static IP settings, enable Web Services.

I have read alot of suggestions on how to fix it..I have deleted a few of the apps and tried reinstalling them but that won't work either. I have completely turned off the Ipad and it still asks me to update them...It does allow me to install a new app however.
The problem corrected itself,....i tried to delete the post but could not do it.

Make sure location is set correctly
DNS should be on auto (settings - general - network)
Try ethernet
Signal strength on device won't account for issues, you would need a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. This will show accurate signal strength along with noise and nearby networks -

Have you tried restarting the iPad and then try again?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
