TS1702 I have purchased some episodes of a tv series but they are failing to download - how do I fix this?

I have just got an iPad and attempted to purchase some tv episodes and they download until the end when I get a message saying "unable to download episode" can anyone help please?

Anastasia here. Same problem. Restarting the device does not help. The new episodes show in my Apple MacBook Pro (OS 10.8.5) Itunes (11.1.3(8)), but not in the Apple TV device. Both have the same Apple ID, I have restarted, log on /off both devices several times and the problem remains: last week's episode of 3 different series will not download.
This has happened to me on several occassions, each time something else solves de problem. I have been having the probem since the last Apple TV software update. It is usually after software updates that this type of problem appears.
I can also see the new available episodes in my Iphone 5.iOS6 (I have not installed yet the iOS 7.0.4)
What is going on? How do I solve it now? I have tried everything that worked in the other instances, but nothing is working now. Please answer to [email protected] Big thanks.
Another question: What is the different between "Restart" and "Resert" of the Apple TV device? What will I loose if I reset, instead of restart, which I have done till now. Will it solve the problem?
