TS1702 I seem to have switched on 'Restrictions' on both my iPhone and my iPad, but I can't remember the code to switch off again. Possibly as a result of this (although I'm not at all sure) iCloud, Faceltime, Twitter and Facebook cannot be accessed.
A separate issue is that the Apple calendar on my iPad has stopped working. It opens but then shuts itself down after about 1 or 2 seconds. I tried to reset everything, but I come up against the same requirement for a code that I can't remember.
Thats a seperate issue. Try closing the cal. app completely from the muti-task bar. Tap the home button twice until all the open apps appear. Hold an app untill they all start to jiggle, then you close the cal app with the red circle. Press home button again to go back to home screen.
You can also try removing any re-ocurring evernts or all day event from march 30 and april 1, see if that helps.

Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

It is not clear how or where you "added" your email, but you cannot create an Apple ID using an email address that is already associated with another Apple ID.
If that is what you did, delete that email address from your family's Apple ID. You should be free to create a new one.
Do all that by starting here: https://appleid.apple.com/
Select "Manage your Apple ID". Log in with your family's Apple ID and then delete your own email address wherever it appears.
Save Changes, log out, and create the new one using the same website. This time select "Create an Apple ID".
Please don't forget your security questions, and be sure to specify a "rescue email address" that is separate from all other Apple IDs. You will avoid so many problems that way... -

What did you rent the film on, your iPad or your Mac ? If you rented it on your iPad then it should have downloaded into the Videos app on it (you should get a rentals tab in the app). If you rented it on your Mac then it should be in the Movies part of your Mac's iTunes library, you will have to connect your iPad to your Mac's iTunes and move it from your Mac to your iPad (I think that it should show on the iPad's Movies tab for moving)

I have an iphone4s and I just purchesed a new ipad. I can use face to face calling from my iphone to my ipad but i can't call from my ipad to my iphone on wifi.
I have also discovered that they have moved the audio books storage on the iPad from iBooks app (Audio Books Collection) where they have been stored up until now and are now to be found in the iTunes app under audiobooks, selection on the bottom row. So much hastle why can't they just say so right upfront on Apple iTunes Audio books?

The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

You can't transfer a balance (nor its purchases) to another account. Do you have any of its purchases on your computer's iTunes library ? If you do then selecting it and doing 'get-info' (control-I) should tell you the account id on the Summary tab on the popup.

I don't know if I'm repeating my question. I can't restore my ipad after updating to latest ios. The battery went low, I had to eject and plug in to charge. The set up will not complete without resoring from icloud or itunes (i backed up to computer using itunes) or setting up the ipad as a New ipad. I want to restore all my stuff but the message I get in itune says "Find my ipad must be turned off before 'ipad' can be restored". Go to icloud settings on your ipad and turn off Find My iPad before restoring your iPad.". I cant' get to this setting on my ipad because the set up is not complete!!! I'm stuck. I have the same problem and we can't simply just restore from the backup. It says that I have to set up my iPad through restoring. So I tried restoring it in iTunes but it won't restore until I have to turn off this **** "Find My iPad" crap but I couldn't because the set up's not complete and it won't let me go to my settings unless I set it up. I have the new version of Itunes and have upgraded from 1st gen. Ipod to 4th gen. Ipod touch, I am unable to sync all my music from my old Itunes to my new Ipod, also when I try to play the music on the computer through Itunes it says it needs to be authorized but keeps using my Old email account (which I don't have anymore) for me to authorize, is there a way to fix/ change this so I don't have to buy that music over again?
