TS1702 iPad 1 applications crash for low memory. All apps are doing this. Any solution?
Ever since the last update of IOS from Apple, all applications on iPad 1 are crashing for low memory. I have done everything that Apple has indicated (make sure nothing in running in background, turn off iCloud, reset and reloaded iPad like new) and nothing seems to help. Even went into the Apple store and the Genius said that there was nothing short of resetting the unit to "New". That did not help.
I know there are tons of complaints out there but has anyone found a way around this?
So what do you want us to do about your complaint assuming it is true?
We are just users like you.
Apple is not here.

IPad Air crashes with low memory error in Google Translate Web Site
My new iPad Air crashes with low memory error every time I try to use my Phrasebook in Google Translate Web site. This is rather disapointing considering that my old Nexus 10, that iPad Air is supposed to replace, works flawlessly in Google Translate Web site. Perhaps this has to do with the rather limited RAM (1GB) that iPad Air is equippoed with.
I would appreciate any recommendation, Thanks in advance.See this topic in

HT3702 I am being charge for itunes but all apps are free?
I am being charge for itunes but all apps are free? It is possible to get money back?
If you are referring to the temporary store holding charge as described on the page that you posting, which is 'charged' each time that you change the card details on your account, then it should disappear off the card within a few days or so - though it varies by bank, and with it now being the weekend it might an extra day or two. If they haven't disappeared within a week of them being made then you could contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
Also some apps may be free to download but they then allow you to make in-app purchases to unlock extra features within them - you can turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions on your phone. -
My ipad keeps crashing. Safari and game apps are crashing, a lot!
My ipad keeps crashing almost every day. Some of my apps, ie magic puzzles, Facebook and Safari crash every day now. I cannot bring up magic puzzles at all. Any suggestions?
Also reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected. -

Application menu is there - but all apps are GONE
All my apps appeared on the app menu and in itunes - until today. I know the application selection on the menu can be hidden, it's not. I kept the software up to date, I had not installed the latest release until just now.
All my apps are missing, about $30+ worth, plus related data. Can someone help me out here? Not sure what to do, help!Hello spaceistheplace,
There are several possible ways to recover your applications. As previously mentioned you can redownload purchases APPs without charge:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
You can transfer purchases from the iPhone to your iTunes library:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
The application data is not stored with the APPS in iTunes, that information is maintained on the iPhone and can also be stored in the backup that iTunes creates when you sync the iPhone.
Check out my post in this thread for additional information about getting the APPS back into iTunes:

Hope that helps,

With iOS 6 without the backup and restore? I'm desperate. Here are few tips to speed up your phone http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/23/ios-7-slow-speed-it-up/

1. Sign out of old ID
2. Reboot
3. Sign in with new ID -
Hi,
We have 1 iPad, 1 iPhone, and 3 iPods that need to be moved from old-pc to new-pc.. So I:
- read forums, faqs, etc.
- authorize new-pc
- set up sharing and copy everything from old-pc to new-pc
- transrfer purchases from iPad to new-pc
- do a back up of iPad to new-pc
- upgraded iPad on new-pc
- sync iPad to new-pc
Then, much to my dismay, I see that no apps are present. Music and movies are there, so are some personal settings, but no AppStore apps. "A-ha!", I thinks to myself..."I'll restore from backup!" After which iPad has reverted it's sync to old-pc.
So I curse for a bit and re-sync iPad to new-pc. But all apps are still gone, and the only way to get them back on iPad is to download them from iStore (or whatever the h*** it's called) but all personal app-info is gone.
Please help. How do I transfer iThing ownership from old-pc to new-pc without losing half of everything?
Thanks, oh so very much.

Have you tried this...
Reset all settings

This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -
iOS 7 doesn't work on iPod touch 4g, so does the mean its the end for this device? Or are they going to make updates specially for lower devices an apps that are compatible ??
Which apps remain compatible will be up to the individual developers who sell those apps. There will be no further iOS updates, but those aren't really necessary to continue to use and enjoy your device. I still have an iPad 1 running on iOS 5, and it is fully functional.
The App Store has an app called VintApps 3.1.1 that is specifically geared toward iOS 3.1, however, you would probably be able to run most of those apps on your iPod, and considering that there will be a rather large market for iOS 6 apps users, it is not likely that you will see a significant reduction in choices any time soon.
It is not the end for the device in any sense except that it is at it's ultimate iOS level. And again, I have an iPad that is at it's ultimate iOS level (iOS 5), and I get new apps all the time that work for both my iPad and my iPhone that runs iOS 6.1.1
No need to fret....
Cheers,

OK, so basically I've been having this problem where I'm unable to update the apps on my iPad through the App Store. The badge icon of the App Store displays a number 8, which should mean that there are 8 apps with updates, however, upon opening the App Store and going to the 'Updates' section, my iPad tells me that 'All apps are up to date', which is both frustrating and confusing.
I have tried:
- Closing the App Store and removing it from the App Switcher
- Rebooting the device
- Logging out and then back in with my Apple ID
Also, I read elsewhere to try and individually update the apps by going to the 'Purchased' section, however this did not solve anything as none of the apps shown had an 'update' button next to them.
If anyone can offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated.I should have mentioned before- I have been using my iPad without a computer and I haven't got access to one for a while. I was under the impression that when Apple released iOS 5, it was possible to use their devices completely independent of a computer. Hence, every device running iOS 5 or later should be usable And fully functional without a computer.
Is there any way to fix this without a computer? -
My iPad keeps shutting down out of all apps.
My iPad keeps shutting down out of all apps. If on FB, camera, messages, etc. It will just go to a black screen and then back to desk top. Could it have a virus, what should I do?
Hi iPaduser58,
If you haven't already done so, you may want to restart or reset the iPad:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
Restarting your iOS device
1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
2. After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your device
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the above does not resolve your issue, the next best step will be to restore your iPad using a computer with iTunes. Please be sure to backup your iPad first.

Hi my airport router ( ateast i think this is where the problem originates) has been turning off intermittenly for the past week, when it does this NO devices recieve internet connection, mac, pc,iphone, ipad, wireless or hardwired directly to the router. However they all show to be connected with their corresponding bars and the ip's are all fine. Earlier today it started flucuating on and off about every 5 min making work impossible and now it seems to be completely broken (im currently on my iphone connected though its own internet) Does anyone know how or ehy this happened and how i can fix this? And to know if this originates from the router or something else entirely. Thank you!
Hi - some clarifications would help narrow down some symptoms - just what has been turning off? - has the light been solid green but the modem isn't providing wi-fi? - or is the light flashing yellow with no internet? - which can mean several things - does the light go out completey? - so if you can report on exactly what is happenening and when, maybe someone can help you - we also need to know if there any error messages along the way - we also need the types of devices involved and how they are attached - kind of like a nework map - the more info that you provide, the more answers you will get.

i overcharged my ipad 2 battery for about 3 hours. what are the consequences? and there are these tiny fibers and dust that enters insideipad screen. how will i clean them. .please help
Relax, you cannot "over" charge it. The built in charging protection ensures it will not overcharge the battery or do any damage leaving it plugged in. Many folks (myself included) leave our iPads and iPhones plugged in overnight, all night, so they are charged and read for use the next day.
