TS1702 iPad Mini - Safari closes

I have a new iPad mini.  Safari will close unexpectedly everytime I am using it.  Anyone have any ideas for this?

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Then do this.
Close all apps completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Ipad mini safari display size issues

I created help documentation for an iPad app. The help opens in Safari and it works fine.
So, now we support the iPad Mini, but when we open the help in Safari on the Mini, the sizing is messed up. Also, I am told that the links do not go to the correct topics even thought they work fine on the iPad 2 and later. I created the help files in RoboHelp using the iPad screen format. They do not have a separate screen format for the Mini.
    Any Ideas?

I think that you would probably be better off posting in the developers forum with this.

  • Black horizontal line ipad mini Safari

New iPad mini appears to be having problems already.  While using Safari in some websites, a fairly thin black horizontal line will appear typically in the middle of the page.  It usually gravitates towards the spot where you try to read.  Thin enough to kind of underline text for easier reading but big enough to be a nuisance.  Is this a feature for easier reading in Safari or a bug.
    Please help,

    Michele,
I know this was mostly answered, but I am there with you. It's a very frustrating problem and you are not alone.
Merging the keyboard and splitting it again, as well as hard closing Safari, seemd to fix it, if only temporarily.
Slightly lifting the split keyboard from the bottom seems to completely solve this SEVERELY annoying and temper tantrum inducing problem. It has taken me more time than I'd like to admit to fix this, and I have my doubts that it will work permanently as well.
But anything that MIGHT work is better than dealing with this issue.
It may seem minor to some, but for a lot of us, it is very distracting and annoying.
I keep hoping with each and every update that it's fixed, and am disappointed each and every update.

  • IPad mini safari getting CSRF error

Ever since I accessed the healthcare.gov site I get CSRF token error when I try to log on to my internet on the go account.  Don't know if this is related but started right after that debacle.  I can't add data or access any of my info - can on other computers but need to on my ipad mini.  Tried clearing cookies, cache, history, nothing works.  All I find online is programmer stuff.  Internet-go.com tech support is clueless.  Please help.

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • TS1702 ipad mini

My ipad mini is connected to the internet but won't connect to the app store.  Suggestions?

    Hi Doreen255,
When troubleshooting iTunes Store connection issues, the following articles provides the best information:
First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store.
Once signed out try signing back in and see if the issue persists.
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311
If the above did not resolve your issue, refer to the following:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
    - Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    - Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
    - Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
    - Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router
    - If the issue still persists see, iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connectionsor iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections.
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!
    - Judy

  • IPad Mini safari problems

Have a new iPad 5 Mini with the iOS 6.1.3  Trying to open up a webpage in safari and keep getting the message "You do not have permission to view "ArWx" " along with a No Permission title on the tab.  My cookies are set to always accept.  Anything that I seem to be missing? I can open the webpage on my computer and on my iPhone.  It doesn't seem to be an issue with the other two.

    What site is it?
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try going to Settings Safari and Clearing Cookies, History and Data

  • Using Ipad mini safari can't open google server

WIFI connection is OK.  connection with Skype OK
    Can't reach google.fr with safari
    thanks for help

Clear Safari, force close the app and reset the iPad and try again.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Safari app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • IPad mini Safari Browser hijacked - any ideas to defend against intrusion?

My safari session was hijacked as in I was no longer in control of where the browser was going and typing. Almost like a remote control app.  When I proceeded to iPad settings the hacker attempted to stop me from shutting down JavaScript, block cookies and eventually shutting down
There was no Bluetooth connection open therefore no possibility of a nearby snooper and I was on a private home network.

You may want to check this out.  We were seeing login issues prior to finding this.

  • IPad mini safari search bar changed to grey and can no longer clear history

What has happened?  The panel in safari where you type in web addresses use to be white with black type now it's all grey with white type.  It's awful.  Also I used to be able to clear history but can no longer do this.  Need this option as looking for Christmas presents and don't want kids to see.
Will be so grateful if anyone can get my ipad back how it was.

Are you referring to the new colors of iOS 7? If that's the case then there is no way to change it.
    To clear your History:
1 Tap the Bookmark icon (the one next to the cloud and + icons.
2 Tap Bookmarks > Select History
3 Hit Clear (Notice the Clear icon at the bottom).
    Hope this helps.

  • IPad Mini safari problem

SInce updating to iOS 8.1.2 safari tabs keep refreshing all the time. This is quite annoying. Is there anything I can do to change it?

I Understand that. It doesn't happen all of the time for me. It depends on how many tabs I have open and how long I go between navigating from one tab to another. Right now I have 6 tabs open and it is working just fine. There are things that you can try to help "fix" it. But, IMO, and this is just that - my opinion, there is no permanent fix for it that I have seen.
You can try clearing Safari on occasion. Close all other apps that you aren't using. You can reset all settings. I am simply stating that no matter what I do, at some point, the refreshing starts all over again.
