No sound when playing music and video on the new iphone 3gs (32gb)

I have a problem with no sound when playing music or watching video both on the ipod part of the phone and when watching youtube videos, all other sounds are working fine on the phone(eg Apps, phone calls/rings and system sounds. If i reset the phone everything apears to work fine again for the first minute or so but when i stop a video or tune for a second and try going back to it, the sound is gone again. All settings are fine. Anyone having the same problem or any idea how to fix it?

You could try either a Backup Restore or a Clean Restore. I usually do a CR with MobileMe as the restore source. Afterwards I reload the music, videos and apps.
It could be a sound playing bug like the Bluetooth bug that bites me now and then (audio stops and goes once in a while, audio gaps in the video if the video is paused, and videos recorded have the audio very quiet).

I recently bought my HP Stream 13 and everything was fine. Suddenly, whenever I watch or listen to music online and offline, I get this buzzing sound from my speaker. Even through my headphones and when I connect to a TV Monitor through HDMI. It's really gettting annoying. Please help.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream 13 buzzing sound when playing music. Have you restarted the Notebook without the headphones and external HDMI removed?
Here is a link to resolve headphone and speaker issues in Windows 8. Using the Microsoft troubleshooting tool to be the most helpful.
Please make sure your updates have been done on the Notebook. In the device manager under sound right click and update the driver. Here is another step to try.
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner by your time.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers/Headphones.
4. Click Properties.
5. Click the Advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window.
9. Click OK to close the Playback Devices.

Crackling and popping sound when playing music and watching youtube videos

there is a crackling and popping sound when i watch videos on youtube or play music/videos using vlc media player and windows media player. recently it has gotten to a point where it happens when windows is starting up or even when the laptop is required to play a sound for example when i plug in a removeable hardware such as thumbdrives

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP 2000 Notebook and getting a buzzing or popping sound while playing music and watching Youtube videos. Try performing a hard reset.
When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook that might have caused this.
You can try this
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers.
4. Click properties.
5. Click the advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window.
What happens if you right click on the video while playing a video and take the check out of hardware acceleration. Shut the browser down and restart the notebook.
Have you checked for an update on the Active X.

My new iPhone 4GS won't switch songs when playing music. It just plays the same song over and over again. Is there a fix for this?

When I try to play music on my phone, it won't switch songs -- just plays the same song over and over again. This is true whether shuffle is turned on or not. How do I make this stop? This phone is brand new!

Apple tv stutters when airplaying music and movies

I'm unable to utilize the airplay feature in itunes to watch movies or listen to music though Apple tv. I've fooled around with my router and updated the firmware, I'm using all of the updates available to me with the exception of upgrading to mountain lion. I never had these problems until I upgraded my phone and ipad to ios6. Does anyone have a good starting point for troubleshooting this problem?

Yes they do.
They origialnally played just fine. I moved my entire iTunes library to a new computer and now only 62 songs, out of over 2000, and two of four movies won't sync. All songs and movies are in same folders and same format.
I already selected "keep iTunes media folder organized" and "copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library"
using iTunes 10.7 and OSX 10.8.2

My iphone4s does not lock the screen automatically when playing music and charging

My iphone4s (iso5.1) does not lock the screen automatically with the condition in charging and playing music.
System has been set to lock the screen in 1 mins.
Everything goes fine when not in charging, the system can lock well even playing music.
System can lock as well when all the music playing apps are closed, even when charging.
I don't think that's my apps' problem, all my music playing apps have the same problem.
My ipod has the exact same problem described above, I believe that's an iso system bug.

When playing music and i go to unlock my iphone, the song skips back a bit, is there a way to fix this?

i have noticed that recently when listening to music through headphones, when i go to unlock my iphone to read a text or something, that the song skips back to a couple of seconds from where it was. Is anyone else having this problem and can you help??

No Audio when playing some web movies in Quicktime

on my Macbook, when I view movies in Safari sometimes there is no audio. When I open "audio midi setup" under audio output it says "output is not supported". (Thus, when I open Windows/AV controls in Quicktime the volume shows zero and the Audio controls are inactive & can't be changed). Anyone know whats wrong?

A quick way to fix it is to open Garage Band and play a sample loop. That resets the MIDI prefs without having to go to that panel.

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5. I have a Motorola HX550 Bluetooth Headset which worked flawlessly with the iPhone 4s. However, since upgrading to the iPhone 5, I frequently lose audio when in the middle of a call. I am not certain whether it is a full disconnect or just an audio loss. The person on the other end reports still being able to hear me, however, I suppose they could hear me speaking over another source even if bluetooth disconnected. The loss of audio is always preceded by a quick shrill noise, so I can easily tell when it happens. All I have to do to fix the problem is to select Audio Source on the call screen, temporarily switch audio back to the iPhone, and then switch back to the headset, and then it starts working again.
Is is important to note that I am not the only one experiencing this issue:

Really nice Headset unless you own an Iphone 5. I own several Plantronics headsets and have always loved the quality/ performance. This headset seems not to be compatible with the new Iphone 5. In the middle of a conversation it will lose all incoming audio. This leaves you trying to switch audio sources really fast in order not to lose your phone call. Ive tried 3 legend headsets and they all do the same thing. Hopefully this gets fixed soon because the headset is really nice
Since this issue appears to affect multiple headsets from multiple vendors, I think it is fair to conclude that it is an issue with the iPhone5 bluetooth itself.
I am posting this as a new discussion as I don't see any other posts specific to this iPhone 5 Bluetooth issue. I would have reported this as a problem to Apple, but don't seem to be able to find a way to do this on the web. Hopefully they are already aware, but if not, maybe they will see i here.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

The sound on my iPhone 4S cuts out when playing music/podcasts. If I unplug and replug in the headphones, the sound comes back on, but often for only 20 seconds or so before cutting out again. Sometimes it will play for 15-20minutes before cutting out. The track is not "paused", and appears to continue, just no sound. I tried cleaning the headphone jack with compressed air to no avail. I also noticed the the same phenomenon occurs when I sync my bluetooth to my car audio. That is, it will play for a while, then the sound will cut out, even though the track is still shown to be playing. If I reset the bluetooth, the sound comes back on.
This started happening about a week ago, but no "event" that I can think of caused it. I didnt' get the phone wet, forcefully drop it, or leave it in extreme heat. I've tried doing a reset of the phone. I also was running iOS5 when I first noticed this, and since upgraded to iOS6. The problem appeared with both.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One thing that helped was getting a toothbrush and scrubbing the dock connector on the phone. I scrubbed the connector and used compressed air for about 1/2 hour till the connector looked much cleaner. An Apple employee told me that the pins on the phone had a little corrosion and sand. The problem hasn't gone away completely, but has been significantly reduced. I'm going to hold out until my contract expires after which time I'll switch to an iPhone5 (or newer) or Android phone.

During a two weeks process, little by little I notice my phoe doesn't ring when I get a phone call. So Far I have missed 22 calls that I am aware of. Moreover, the phone does not alert me when I get a text message. Sometimes I receive notice the next day that I received a call or a text message.

Follow the basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide... reset, restore from backup, restore as new.

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.
