When I tap the App Store icon on my iPad it opens the newsstand store instead, any ideas for solutions - I have tried closing the app and restarting the iPad.

Keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until you see the Apple logo on your screen.

I have problems with Apps Store whenever I rotate the device it will just auto exit from the apps store and back to home screen.

Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

Problems with App Store since installing Mountain Lion

I have recently installed Mountain Lion and since then have been unable to use the App Store. When I launch it comes up with an error message stating 'App Store cannot verify a secure connection with the App Store.Would you like to connect anyway?' If you hit continue the application flashes black and white but goes no further. Has anyone else had this problem and what could be done about it.

I have the old iPhone 16gb and it has now been upgraded to 2.0.1 but since the update the installer is gone and now its the Apps store i have to use... But everytime I try downloading from the apps store it says "your account is only valid for purchases in the Danish iTunes store" how come????? My friends have iPhones and they havent had the same troubles as me So what could the problem be??? Please help me..

If it is second hand, try putting it in recovery mode, and restoring it with itunes on a mac or pc.

Problems with App Store...Keeps on downloading the same update!

Hi all,
I have a problem with updates from the App Store.
For example, I updated iPhoto and that was successful. It was about 1.6GB.
I opened up iPhoto and all was good.
Now when I go to the App Store it keeps telling me that I have the same update still waiting for me despite I have already done the update.
This is also happening with a few other programs as well which can be seen below:
So, now I have the situation where iPhoto is again trying to download (and waste 1.6GB) the same update and as a consequence I cannot use iPhoto because it is paused and when I resume the download (which has already been done twice) I loose another 1.6GB of my download limit.
I have emailed Apple about this but all they could do is refer me to some links where you can hide purchases made via the App Store.
How can I fix the above issue please.
It is very annoying to always see the red circle with the number 5 in it where all those updates have already been done but App Store thinks I haven't done them.

I was recently trying to upgrade to mountain lion through the app store. I have unreliable Internet from a cable company whom I will not name, but we all know who they are. My Internet dropped while downloading the upgrade. Once I went through the notorious unplug the modem/router and plugged it back in to gain Internet connectivity again, I could not resume. No matter what I did, the app store kept displaying "an error occurred." I am hoping that those with the same issue read this first to save them hours of skimming through the Internet to find a solution. Here are the steps to take:
1. Make sure you have reestablished Internet connection
2. Chances are you got frustrated when you tried to resume/unpause the download and clicked the "X" to the left. If so, select the "Store" drop-down menu from the App Store and select "View My Account." There should be an option to unhide your purchase. You know what to do.
3. There is also an option to reset all warnings for buying and downloading under "View My Account." Do this, click "Done," sign out of the App Store and quit the App Store.
4. Open the Preferences in safari and select Privacy. Select "Remove All Website Data." Just do it.
5. Launch the app store and sign in.
6. Now, if you "Check for Unfinished Downloads" everything works peachy.
I hope this helps. Not much I can do for your Internet connection though.

Problems with app store id password notification

Im having problems with my ipad when i go into the app store to purchuse either a free or paied app, it no longer shows the notification asking me to put in my apple id password. Any help would be most appreciated.

I think it is. I just did a permanent empty in my trash can which had a few things I didn't recognize and wanted to make sure they were very gone. I have been actually trying to steer people to some of the advice about that trojan which if I see their questions before anyone else gets a chance to answer. I know how panicked someone can get when this weird stuff happens. I would hope this business with the app store (which looks like it has been keeping you busy) doesn't have anything to do with the trojan scareware issues.

Problems with App Store

The app store is saying I have two apps ready to update (iphoto and pages) but when I try to update them, the App Store states "an error has occurred". I have recently updated to Yosemite so that may be part of the problem. Also, I believe the apps are already updated, yet the notification remains there for both.

For last 36 hours, App Store is not processing updates. Rebooted, and hard rebooted. Tried tapping on apps to force a download, from the Purchased list and the home screen. Ipad also will not access new 8.1 version today. Any suggestions?

The iTunes and Mac App Store / iCloud problem spontaneously resolved for me as of 21:54 Pacific Standard Time on 9/30/2012.
Someone at Apple was aware of and fixed the problem. Finally.
