TS1702 Return app

Hi
I am new to the whole iWorld. I just bought an app and based on the app description it was what I was looking for. When I ran the app though, I found it to be incongruent. How do I return the app for a refund? Thank you for your help.

Thank you got the advice. I realized that I left out essential information -- my laptop fell whilst in operation, and is in the shop. I have only my iPhone to solve this. I began searching for an answer within 2-3 minutes after buying and opening the app, do I have yet to receive an invoice via email. I started looking quickly so that it was clear by the times that I found out immediately and tried to solve things.

    Have you tried deleting and re-downloading the app (re-downloading), and if that didn't make any difference then have you tried contacting the developer ? There should be a link on the app's description page in the store to contact them and/or a link to their website.
    If you don't get a reply from them then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    As you all may have heard, you can now return apps and songs bought from App store and iTunes within 2 weeks. (News story)
    My question is, does anyone know how to do this regarding apps bought from App store? I can't find any option.

    This is a good point. It has been my experience so far that many of these apps are definitely first generation and the developers are often eager to make improvements based on customer feedback. In some cases there are already improvement in the pipeline already and they can advise you when they might be available if they know. I have quite a few apps (94) and am getting app updates almost daily. There were 6 of the apps updated today for me to download. This is the sign of a vibrant and fresh developer community which has the downside of rough edges and missing features here and there, but has the advantage of rapid change, fresh ideas, and responsiveness to customers.
    I too would suggest opening a dialog with the developer. In iTunes in the App Store when you go to the description page for each app there is always links to both the developer's web site and email for customer support.

    I am having trouble getting the sound to work on some of the apps I have installed.
    Pac man and wheel of fortune are two recent ones that I have no sound.  My volume is up all the way, and the sound radio button is on in the options menu.

    If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
    System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
    Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
    If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
    If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
    If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

    Install the v10.6.6 combo update available here. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.6. The combo includes fixes that were not included in the original update.

    Restart your Mac and try the MAS again.
    You can download apps directly from the MAS once you have it running.
    Considering the TM backup took so long, make sure there's enough space on your Mac startup disk.
    Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.*

  • TS1702 My apps won't update and I get a message saying "This apple I'd is only valid for use in a Canadian store". I only have a canadian account. Why can't I update on already purchased apps?

    I live in white rock but do travel to the states a lot. I've heard that if you have an American account you can buy apps from the us but have to log in back and forth to use them. But I only have one account and it's Canadian. Everything worked fine until recently I can no longer update apps I've been using since I bought my iPad. It always kicks me back and forth between us and Canadian stores but doesn't update anything. I've tried restarting and reloading, deleting and repurchasing. I haven't seen anybody else with this one! Please help!

    The App store is a problem for many and I have not seen a solution.
    What is "wrong" with your Apple ID?
    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

    I do not update apps through my laptop I store the apps that actually have been tested and work on the laptop and test updated apps on the iPhone. After updating the iPhone to iOS 6.0.1 iTunes will not install the apps from iTunes on my laptop to my iPhone without updating the apps online. This is not going to happen from my end and I do not like having control of what MY Laptop and MY iPhone can do seperately forced to be as one. That should be an option of choice not a demand of service.
    If anyone has an option like how to reinstall iOS 5.1.1 back onto my 3GS I would love to hear it.

    That's because the latest Podcast App is only for iOS 7. You have to go to AppStore and re-install a version compatible with 6.1.3
