App updates through App store, and then goes back to previous version!
I bought Civilization V: Campaign Edition from the Mac App Store. An update for the game became available a few days ago and I clicked update.
The whole update was downloaded and installed succesfully. I launched the game and it showed the new version too.
But after a minute, the App Store shows the update option available again.
I tried updating again but the same thing happened. The update finished succesfuly, a minute later the App Store shows yet another update available with the same version number and everything. Googling about it I found that a lot of users have complained of the same issue. Aspyr Support (Civ V Support) said that the issue lies with the App Store and asked me to contact Apple. So here I am - there are no Apple Stores in my area.I launched the game and it showed the new version too.
No need to redownload the update repeatedly.
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store...
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
If that doesn't help, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo) may fix the udpate issue.
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.3

Reset the iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

All it saids is that "The Wi-Fi network you selected is not providing an internet connection. Change your settings or choose a different network, and when I select Settings, I just get the list of networks. Nothing which was listed up above in the trouble shooting appears.
Cycle power in your network router. Make sure it has its latest firmware.
If that doesn't solve it, next try resetting your iPad. Hold the on/off and power buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. -

Sounds like you are using an obsolete version of your xxxxx.lrcat file. I don't use Apple, but surely there is a way of searching for a file anywhere on your disk drive. Search for all files with the extension .lrcat -- i.e., search for *.lrcat. This should bring up a screenful of your backup and non-backup catalog files. Double-click on the most recent ones to see if they are what you are looking for.

You can log out of the account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap 'sign out' on the popup - you can then sign in with your account/
If you synced any of your mum's apps to the iPad from your her computer then they will be tied to her account, so only her account will be able to download updates to her apps -

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

I use iphone5, I see an app update on the app store. but when App store and click on the update tab, it doesn't show me which application to update.. just gives me a blank page.!!!! You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....

I am trying to download xfinity tv go app. I can not find it in my App Store and can not download it from the comcast website. All I get is a blank screen in the App Store. My Apple ID is associated with a Canadian address. How can I find the app?

When I search a music artist in the itunes store and then click to view all albums the screen is blank. Why is itunes store not showing me all of the Albums?

I have been trying to update via App Store and every time only with apple software it starts to download and it will says it's calculating time remaining then an error message pops up saying " An error has occurred the request timed out. (102)" I have tried everything , I've been told its my ISP but I have tried using differenet internet to attempt the updates. Like I said all other software updates fine its just apple software
